I wouldn’t even rate these people a 1 star. Ordered a garage door and it had 2 very noticeable scratches in the bottom panel. I was told that it’ll take 2 weeks to order it. I was then contacted the next day and told it’ll now be 3 weeks and that I have to look at 2 scratches in my garage door until then. They then offered to touch it up (which don’t you think they would have done originally if they thought it would look acceptable until we got our other one). I then spoke to Greg who was very unprofessional and clearly has a lot to work on with his customer service skills and began talking over myself and making smart comments. Just an overall terrible experience, if I could do it over again I’d go elsewhere.

We purchased a new home without garage door openers. AE worked with us prior to closing to make sure they could install shortly after closing. Install was wonderful. The installers were very professional, on time and were in/​out within a couple hours. I would highly recommend them for future installs.

So I’ve had years of great service from them… But how great is the service really when you have to have them out 4 times a year and things keep breaking and things they install they don’t honor any warranties on because they’ll push it onto the manufacturer and not take any credit for it. This last time they came out because the opener that they installed stopped working. They told me what was wrong and basically had me deal with the manufacturer to get a part for it. Then they’re going to charge me over $ 100 more to come back out to put it on when the $ 60 in the first place was just for them coming out and saying there’s nothing they could do for me. They’re lucky I wasn’t the one home when they came out first time because I would never in my life pay someone to tell me they can’t do anything then say they’re charging again to come back later. Absolutely not! All those years of service calls from me and my family are done, and I will ensure I tell everyone not to go with your company, and I hope others read this review. Stand by your installation and service items don’t blame others. Shame on you AE Door.

The repair man came within the time range specified on the phone. He showed up, very personable, and repaired my broken springs and faulty cables in no time flat. On top of it all, he fixed a few things I had messed up when I attempted to install my new garage door opener myself! Couldn’t have had a better experience.

All I can say is use someone else. AE installed my door and it fell on my new car. It was not installed correctly and they don’t want to do anything about it now. If you buy a Clopay door from Home Depot, don’t let AE Door install it. As a matter of fact I recommend going somewhere else for your door so it won’t be Clopay or AE Door. My grandaughter or grandson could have been under that door when it fell. I would not recommend AE Door at all.

My family has been big fans of AE Door for as long as I can remember. Growing up, some of the original fixtures on my childhood home were installed by these folks. Recently, my parents have done some remodeling, with their latest project involving getting a new front, back, and patio door, all from AE.
The quality of the doors is impressive: easy to clean, air-​tight seals, closes gently and securely. Plus each door is aesthetically gorgeous, giving the house a modern and much needed facelift. It’s everything you hope for in a door.
The servicemen are professional and experts at what they do. They can answer any question the customer throws at them. Courteous and punctual, every business should be like this!
The new front door is a beautiful mahogany with brass handles and a charming glass window. The rear is also mahogany, with thick trim around a full glass pane. We also had a matching window-​door installed, which gently opens up to let the breeze in from the deck. The patio door is vast, double-​pane glass with a dual doorway. It replaced the old sliding glass door and fits like a glove in the space.
My parents are now looking to install a new basement door and are headed back to AE Door. The door is built into the cement wall of the room, instead of the standard wood frame, but we know AE will be up for the challenge.
