Alterations By Gladys

I have been taking stuff to Gladys for over 10 years now. She is phenomenal. She took my designer tank top in for me when I lost weight, when it comes to repairing things like holes, she just makes them disappear. My boyfriend took in a crocheted shawl for his sister, and you couldn’t even tell where the giant hole was that she repaired. She is very reasonable. Today, I took in a cocktail dress to resew on a few beads that had come loose, and she is only going to charge me $ 3. I took a pair of defective Banana Republic pants I bought for my boyfriend at the Gap distribution center, and didn’t realize the zipper piece to pull up the zipper was missing. Not a problem for her, only cost $ 5. Right now she is shortening a pair of pants for my boyfriends dad for $ 12.81 after tax.
She can do ANYTHING, and do a wonderful job for a very low cost. According to her business card she can do tailoring, Wedding gowns, as well as formals, redesigning, relining, and this I did not realize she can do leather and suede work.
She did recently move, on same street, but down Salem on opposite side of street to 6232 Salem. Her old familiar sign is in the yard «Alterations by Gladys». She is diagonal from the fire station on Salem. Nice thing is now, you can pull down drive and park in back. Entrance is back door and is marked. Still same phone number 513−233−2786. Her hours I believe are 10 — 6 M-​F, and 10 — 1 on Sat. However, sometimes it is a good idea to call ahead just to make sure she is there and hasn’t stepped out to run an errand. Or, if light isn’t on in basement where door is marked «Alterations by Gladys», tap on the back door or front door of house.
UPDATE 1÷15÷16, I forgot to post this awhile back. She does not do suede/​leather work anymore because she does not have the equipment to do it.
Still does fabulous work, just picked up a heavy winter jacket today for my boyfriend that she repaired a zipper on.

I took 3 dress and a blouse to Gladys that needed to be taken in at the bust. She did an amazing job. The price is reasonable and her work is spot on. She was able to have it to me quickly before I left town. I don’t live in Cincinnati but I will use her whenever I am in town and recommend her to my friends and family that do live here.

Found this business through a Google search of tailors/​alterations near Mt Washington. She works out of her home. I took 5 items in for various things — mending, hems, etc. She completed the work in just a few days, and I found the cost very reasonable. The work was absolutely perfect. I’ll definitely be visiting Gladys again.
