Auto4n is the BEST car repair shop around. They kept my Vokswagen Jetta running forever, and now work on my Mercedes C230. They are totally trustworthy and I would recommend them to friends, family, anyone. As a teacher, money doesn’t grow on trees, and these guys know that, unlike the dealer who charges a fortune. You also get great customer service as well!

I randomly pulled into this shop and I’m super grateful I did. When I pulled in, a tech came right outside and took care of me and got my car right up on a lift which was exactly what I wanted to happen to figure out what the hell was going on with my brakes. All of the guys that worked there were super helpful and nice, also very personable and comical. One of the guys gave me a lift to an auto parts store and a ride home which he totally didn’t have to do but did anyways and it was MUCH appreciated! The owner or part owner Mike, 110% made it clear he only does jobs the right way and thorough way and if he sees another complication pop up he only feels comfortable fixing it so that later on down the road there isn’t any complications, which I respect completely. He likes to get the job done right the first time with parts he only feels comfortable using. I truly believe he has customers best interests and safety at heart. When all said and done, the price for the work done on my car was fair and I feel completely safe in my car now. At first I thought the price was a little steep but then I called my dad and his best friend who is a mechanic and he said it sounds about right. Price set aside, I went ahead and had them do the job because I knew they did work the precise and rigorous way the first time and I trusted Mikes word. I mean there is nothing worse than getting your car fixed the shitty and cheap way and having it cost you more money overtime because you didn’t do it right and free of error the first time… I can say with confidence that the job was done right and I trust that there won’t be any future aggravations with the job they performed. Now, I can say I feel like I have a reliable car which I didn’t think before walking into that shop. All the people I spoke with at this shop I can shockingly say I trusted and that they had/​have my best interest and safety at heart, which normally doesn’t happen very easily when it comes to car mechanics (no offense), just takes a little bit to build a trusting relationship. Also, they took my car in right away and was done within a day, fast service! I highly recommend this shop to ANYONE in the Cincinnati and surrounding areas. THANK YOU for fixing my car AUTO4N!!! My Mini broke down in Cincinnati during a trip. I was hundreds of miles away from home and I was stuck. I some friends from around the area recommend these guys. What a great recommendation!
Everyone was courteous and friendly. They were able to squeeze me in for an appointment that day and they got me back on the road in no time!

I’ve taken two of my Volkswagen’s here and I always have a great experience. My Jetta had some major issues (transmission one time, computer reprogramming the second) and they were always very informative and always make sure I was getting the best deal. They also got the car back to me quickly both times. Now, I take my Tiguan here for oil changes as we haven’t had any major issues. Knock on wood. Fast, friendly and excellent service. Also, basically everytime I go in, I get a free t-​shirt. You can’t beat that.

Great customer service, and very friendly staff. However, this is the worse that a car shop has ever tried to rip me off in my entire life. I understand that it’s sort of an industry standard to overcharge girls who look like they don’t know what is going on, and I can only assume that all of the rich Xavier students either don’t know or don’t care what they’re being charged, because only a few people on here seem to have even noticed the prices at all.
When I brought my car (a plain old Toyota Camry) in for rear break service, along with a higher than average quote for rear pads and rotors, I was told that I would need my sticky rear calipers replaced for $ 850, which is more than twice the industry standard for a Camry. I immediately called several other shops to get pricing quotes on a caliper replacement, and the maximum they could come up with for a Camry was $ 150 for parts +$ 90 for labor (about half that if using aftermarket parts). In addition, Auto4N said I had a power steering fluid leak that I «shouldn’t put off,» coming to a grand total of $ 2800. They were very nice when I told them I would be no longer getting my service done there because the price was so high, and gave me $ 25 off a $ 79 oil change for being a new customer.
But what makes this story worse is that when I took it to the next shop I was informed that my calipers didn’t even need replacing (the could just unstick them) NOR my power steering fluid rack and pinion, but that I instead had a water pump/​coolant leak (which I since confirmed). So I’m not sure if Auto4N was actually incompetent or just really wanted to rip me off. It’s a shame because they were really nice, which is the only reason I’m giving them two stars and not one. But in the end I would rather get fair and quality car service than a beanie or a t-​shirt, and for that I’ll look elsewhere.

EXCELLENT SERVICE. These guys are so nice and honest! I drive a 200 VW Beetle, so it’s a bit old already, and has a lot of clicks. I had to drop my car off in the morning before work, and they arranged for Enterprise Rent-​a-​Car to come pick me up. When it came time to pick my car up after the repairs, I brought the rental car back to them, and they took care of it for me. That’s a favor that they have as a standard protocol!!!
I told Keith that I probably wouldn’t be able to answer my phone at work, but I would be more likely to respond to email. Before they started working on anything, they sent me a detailed list of repairs needed along with prices including labor. I’m glad they did! Since I had more to have done than expected, I asked them to help me prioritize the most pertinent repairs by urgency. They did great!
They’re on the corner of Dana and Montgomery, so really close to where I live. Even after I move farther away from this location, I know I’ll only be taking my car here and nowhere else in Cincy. These guys are nice, honest, and man, they know their Volkswagens!
BTW, when they’ve got them in, they’ll give you an Auto4N t-​shirt. They’re strictly word-​of-​mouth, and everyone with a VW should be going to them!!!

This is the best car repair business I have ever used. I have lived in several different cities and I never want to leave Cincinnati because I have found the most honest, reliable and helpful mechanics around. There is no job or problem that the mechanics can not solve. They will research any difficult problem and always find a way to fix and will give options and always look for the most cost effective resolution. I can not recommend Auto4N enough.

Couldn’t ask for a better shop and service! I have always been a tried and true «backyard mechanic» customer, the cheaper the better! When my poor VW Bug finally had a problem too big to ignore I took a referral from a friend to AUTO4N. Come to find out (big surprise!) that all of my backyard repairs and repairs by a shop that didn’t know VWs were coming back to haunt me. The repairs we pricey for me, but knowing that experts are working on my car is SO worth it. Add in the amazing customer service and I am now a tried and true AUTO4N customer. I have a little less in the wallet, but I know my car is in great running order and will be for years to come!

This is by far the best car repair shop I have ever been to — and that is without ever having to have work done there.
I went there because my Nissan Xterra was making some weird noises and even though I had never been before the owner came out and sat in my car to listen to the noise. He immediately was able to diagnose the problem and walk me through what I should do, what I needed to do and what he would do if he was in my situation.
I was due for an oil change soon so he said that when I came in he would go ahead and do a full check for free just to make sure he was right. Unfortunately, I did not keep the car much longer so I never was able to go back in but my boyfriend went back a few times and he had nothing but great experiences.

Here I am writing my 1^st Unilocal review, and it’s all because of Auto4N.
In the summer of ’13 I bought a 2009 Jetta Sportwagen TDI out of state. I knew that with it being a VW there would be some things I just couldn’t handle on my own. Especially with it being a TDI, I needed to find a good shop… and Auto4N was recommended by a friend that had an older Golf.
I had visited the shop a few times in 10 months for standard maintenance and such with great experiences, and then on my most recent visit I was blown away. I had been experiencing some very odd things with the vehicle so I made an appointment. After they ran some diagnostics on it, I got good news and bad news.
Bad news was that I’d be needing a new internal computer for the car. Good news is that it was still covered by Volkswagen. After explaining to me everything I needed to know, Mike said I should get an appointment at a dealer, because unfortunately they can’t do warranty work like that.
He essentially turned down the chance to do a $ 1000 repair because it was covered by warranty still.
Their honesty, knowledge, professionalism, and realistic outlook on the health of vehicles make this shop truly amazing. Their shop is small, but they make great use out of it. There are 2 tables in the waiting area with Wi-​Fi available, along with a Keurig machine so you can help yourself to coffee/​tea/​hot chocolate.
They do work on a lot of car makes, but I must say that they truly have a knack for VW, Audi, Volvo, etc. Their prices also seem to be extremely fair… you just have to understand that when working on European cars that parts can sometimes cost more. Thanks again Auto4N!!!

Exceptional customer service. The staff knows exactly how to explain what’s going on with your vehicle and they honestly tell you if they think you don’t need to replace something. I went there with my sister and we both don’t know a lot about cars but we thought we just need to replace the muffler, brakes, and accelerator. We ended up not having to replace the brakes and accelerator. They took the time to inspect almost everything in our car and replaced a lot of things but finished the whole service in a matter of two days (so many things have been replaced). They approximated how long it will take and finished it on time. Also, we had another issue with our car after we picked it up from their shop (oil light was flickering) and they worked on it for free, including towing our car from home. Now, our car feels new. We also received a lot of discounts.

This is a service shop that deserves all of the great reviews. We had sporadic problems with a 2004 Subaru Forester that multiple Subaru dealerships were unable tot fix. Keith and Mike were able to diagnose and fix the problem on the first try. They will have our business moving forward. The only issue with our service was that they ran short on time at the end of the day to complete an AC tune-​up, so we will have to bring in the car another day to complete this. However, they were honest and forthcoming about this so no big deal especially given they were the only ones who seemed able to fix our nagging problem.

Every good thing you read on Unilocal about Auto4N is true.
My wife broke down on I-​71 just before the Dana Avenue exit and was towed to this shop, randomly. The staff was friendly, understanding and extremely communicative. I received many phone call updates during the repairs and everything was explained up front and in an understandable way. Chris and Keith are knowledgable and forthcoming.
They have my business from now on and couldn’t recommend anything higher.
It is really great to see a repair shop blow into the internet age like this. Auto4N realizes that the auto repair industry doesn’t run only person-​to-​person word of mouth and having tow trucks drag cars in any more. This ( Unilocal) keeps participators honest and Auto4N takes advantage of that, for their benefit and, more importantly, yours.
Take your foreign car here. You won’t be disappointed.

Had a bad experience here. There was some questionable pricing along with a $ 50 inspection fee. One of two estimates was $ 120 for spark plug replacement. Originally, I gave them 2 stars.
Left a review that included my negative sentiments and the owner, David, called me a few weeks later. He apologized for the bad experience I had, explained how everything should’ve happened, and offered a full refund for the inspection.
This phone call represents the exceptional customer service you receive when coming here. However, quite frankly, I’d prefer someone treat me harshly and provide a better price point as long as they know what they’re doing. If Unilocal had 3.5 stars as an option, I might give Auto4N this rating. Instead, I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt due to my uncertainty regarding their pricing structure.
Give them a try if you can’t do the job yourself.

This place just exudes honest service. They didn’t actually do work on my car — because they told me the dealer would cover my repair for free. They could have charged me some $ 300 and done it there, but instead they told me to go get it done for free and bring the car back next time I have an issue. And you know what? I will.
Bottom Line: I will definitely come back when I have another issue with my car.

Auto4N is a great place. I tried it out based on the reviews here and elsewhere. Sine it was a short (ish) repair, I sat in their waiting area and read a book. But I was also able to see how they interacted with customers over the phone and in person. In every case, they were amazing. They took the time to explain what they were doing, why it cost what it did, and if they thought the person would get better resolution elsewhere, they told them. I was very impressed. On a personal note, they took great care of me and worked with me and my extended warranty company to get everything squared away. Top notch work and great people behind it.

Generous, thoughtful, knowledgeable, super friendly, kind, honest. Auto4N epitomizes what a local business should be. They seem to take pride in being a part of the community, and the dedication to their customers shows in the quality of their work.
A quick example: I took my 2003 Jetta in because the latch on the driver side door was broken. The owner estimated that it would be about $ 180 to fix it, and I told him I was willing to pay it. He came out to take a look, and it turned out not to be the latch but a simple bolt missing. He fixed it on the spot (and oiled the squeaky hinge on the door) for nothing. Many mechanics would jump at the chance to bank some extra cash by pulling a fast one on customers who wouldn’t know the difference. But it doesn’t work that way here.
The folks at Auto4N seem genuinely glad to help, as if it out of simple neighborliness. Obviously, by providing such customer service they know I’ll be back for anything and everything else that needs tinkered with in my car, from oil changes to brake service.
The point is that these guys are good at what they do, they like doing it, they like where they’re doing it, and they like the people they’re doing it for. It’s businesses like this that are worth supporting, from freebie fixes to expensive overhauls.

I moved to Cincy from Seattle last month with over a thousand pounds of stuff packed in the car. My rear suspension didn’t survive the drive. I saw the Unilocal reviews and decided to take my car to Auto4N. I see why the reviews are so good!
I made an appointment, they sorted out a rental car for the day for me the day my car would be in the shop, the upfront quote was reasonable, they did all the work before the end of the day. I’m definitely going back.

I come here for oil changes all the time for a reason. Not only do they hook you up with some swag from time to time but they know what they are doing when it comes to foreign cars. I took my first VW to them and I am taking this one there as well.
Can’t say enough positive things about these guys. Worth checking out next time you need something done on your car!

These guys are the best mechanics ever! They are not only good at what they do but they also want to make sure that you totally love the service you receive. I have been their client for about 5 years now. Great prices as well. They are so good that even though I moved, I keep bringing my car to them. I drive over two hours to bring my Jetta GLI 2003 to them: They are that good!
