And take a class for your every day benefit! I had such a fun time! I’ll be honest, I could stay and play makeup at this studio all day! I had a FACEing lesson with Jennifer yesterday with of my girlfriends and we had an absolute blast! We brought all of our makeup with us and Jenn showed us how we could use our makeup in ways we never knew! She also gave us recommendations on a few «must have» products. My friend and I were in beauty ruts so this was the perfect way to bump up our normal makeup routine. I already want to schedule another lesson!

I had a «FACEing» lesson with my best friend last night with Nancy. It was phenomenal! Nancy was so excited to have us and treated us like queens. She spent a few hours with us looking through our own makeup and letting us know what we should and shouldn’t be using. Since BrideFace doesn’t have their own makeup line (besides their lip line), Nancy was totally a unbiased opinion on what we should be using and what we had already been using that we should keep. Best part, she suggests using a lot of drugstore products which don’t break the bank!
Take your best friend to do this, take your mom, or have BrideFace come to you on your wedding day with your girls. I promise you won’t regret it.
In fact, I walked into work this morning and a co-​worker asked me if I did something different to my eye makeup. She said my eyes look piercing! Instant Facelift! :)

I first met Nancy and BRIDEface a few years ago while working on a wedding. I own a local salon and she was the makeup artist who had been hired for the day. Everytime a girl would sit down in my chair for hair after having their makeup done… I was in complete awe. Simply put, they looked gorgeous. I remember thinking that they still looked like themselves, only better. The one thing that every girl said to me was «she really listened to what I liked and didn’t like… she nailed it».
Let me tell you, Nancy Dawson and BRIDEface nail it every single time.
They are now the only company that we recommend at my salon. Nancy and her team of artists are amazing. My brides contact me and thank me every single time after they get done with their trials. If you are looking for a makeup artist for your big day… this is definitely who you call. I promise, you wont be disappointed:)

Last Friday, a few friends and I gathered for a FACEing class with Nancy and Danielle. We instantly clicked with them and had a blast reviewing our makeup bags, checking out Nancy’s suggestions (which fit every budget) and most importantly learning how to apply makeup to enhance our individual features. Although I’ve been wearing makeup for 20+ years, I had no idea what I was missing. Add a few bottles of wine and this is the PERFECT girls night out… just make sure to have plans afterward because you will want to take your fancy face out on the town. THANK YOU to Nancy and Danielle for making us feel great, arming us with knowledge to do it on our own and for making the evening so FUN!

I hit it off with Nancy the first time I met her through a mutual friend. I had also seen some photos that featured her work and knew I had to have her do my makeup for my wedding and engagement photos.
I was not disappointment. I look at the photos and wish I could do what she does — it’s truly amazing. The bridesmaids and the «moms» were a little nervous at first, worrying they’d be too «made up» but by the time Nancy was done everyone was in awe of each other. In fact, my sister-​in-​law booked brideface right after for herself.
If you want to look stunning for a special event or just a night out call brideface. You’ll feel like a million bucks.

Nancy & all of Brideface are absolutely wonderful. I had booked them well in advance and they would check in with me throughout the year. My makeup was amazing, the lashes stayed on ALL DAY (i even found one 3 days after the wedding) and all my girls were talking about how great they feel! Every bride needs a little confidence boost on their wedding day, and brideface took care of that.

I wanted to find the best makeup artist in town for my wedding day. So after some research, I booked Nancy with Brideface. Let me just tell you that it was a great decision.
My husband told me I looked like I could be in a magazine when he saw Nancy’s airbrushing skills. And those lashes! They are individually applied — and she put a ton of those suckers on me. After the wedding day, I was very gentle with my lashes when I washed my face, and they stayed on for almost a week! I trekked through Italy with those things on — that’s how well she applied them. Plus, she made my eyebrows look better than ever. Don’t be afraid to let her play with color — I had bright red lips for my engagement shoot and fuchsia lips for my wedding day — and they photographed beautifully!
The only regret that I have is that I didn’t end up using Nancy before the boudoir shoot I did for my husband, since it was last minute. I did my own makeup and it turned out nice, but I didn’t have those bangin’ lashes!
Seriously, book Brideface, and then book Jen Nally to do your hair (Nancy referred me to her). You will look gorgeous on your wedding day.

Penny is not only a phenomenal makeup artist with a penchant for making people look their most gorgeous, she is also such a great person and a joy to have around on the day-​of.
Myself, my mother, sister, and maid-​of-​honor all had the pleasure of having Penny glam us up for the big day and all I can saw is WOW. My mother never felt more radiant, my sister oozed sass, and my MOH, who never wears makeup, was so incredibly beautiful that I actually teared up when I saw her. And me? Well, I don’t want to toot my own horn, but WOW. I felt gorgeous and just truly glowed — gotta love that airbrush machine! But most importantly, I still looked like ME, just a much more enhanced me with fake eyelashes.
I thought I was crazy to book a makeup artist 10 months for the big day, but these girls at brideface go fast. Do yourself and favor and request Penny by name. She will do a fantastic job and is a great gal to have around for day-​of gossiping and giggling.

I think I will remember this always. I went to my tailor to get details on a dress for my friend, and I had managed to finally bring in my wedding album so she could see how her alterations went. Anyway, there were a few people in there, and when they opened it up, they said, «what a beautiful couple: it looks like that one person. .. . Umm, that Kate-​England-​Royal-​Person.» I laughed a little because originally it was pretty clear that they did not think that this girl was me. I waited for the light bulb to click (there were 30 pgs, although in fairness I am 10 lbs heavier, and I was rushing around looking with no makeup looking like a house marm).
When they put three and 85 together, and worked out the girl in the wedding book was me, they asked if Kate Middleton and I were related.
Honestly it takes a lot to blow me out of the water, and I was not expecting that! I said «No» and quickly cleared up there was no relation, but I asked what part made them think so; some demurely commented on the gown, but the headstrong one kept going on about my face. Then she said, «but you look so different from your pictures right now!!» I thought back on Susan Sarandon’s saying in the movie Stepmom: «saying someone loks tired is just a polite way of saying she looks like shit,» and my evil eye took over for a quick second – I was having a terrible hair day and my makeup was smudged, and I generally looked like a harrased soccer mom – NOT Kate Middleton.
(Moment of Ashley glory coming): Now if you knew me, you’d know that I am extremely scatterbrained and live on cloud nine most of the time. However, thanks to my habit of stuffing everything I own into my purse (I have a Mary Poppins situation going on), I still had a couple of Rachel Lisa’s business cards stashed in a pocket. In one of those never happens in real life kind of ways, I grabbed a couple of her cards from my the gaping maws of my purse (which never likes to relinquish my things), tossed them on the table, and said «Awww. You. Are. TOO. Sweet. Anyway, if you want my make up artist feel free; oh wait. .. . the only problem is that she is in Ohio now. .. . Still, you should give it a go; you never know, maybe you can fly her out. She is seriously amazing. Goooood Lucccccckkkkk!»
I was amazed that I could feel seriously complimented and ticked off at the same time. I wish I could keep Rachel in my tote as a little fairy and have perfect makeup always. She is a rockstar! She made my face look royally royal.
Rachel Lisa was definitely the most fun, stressfree, and rewarding part of the wedding – I hope people get that out in Ohio too; she is a much more Jolie’d version of a fairy godmother (Cinderella’s looked like a heffalump!), and I am just so greatful for everything that she did!

Nancy and brideface came highly recommended from a friend and did not disappoint. She’s easy to communicate with, knows and loves makeup and worked with me to design the look that I wanted.
On the day of, Nancy was prompt, friendly and laid back. Her assistant Mollie was just as friendly and fun. My bridesmaids looked gorgeous, the moms shined and I felt amazing. Highly recommended.
