I went to this BMV to get my OH license plates. I have had to come back to the BMV 4 times thus far to accomplish this because their employees do not have it together. Each time I went back I got the «sorry, I don’t know who helped you before but you need…» speech. I had to overnight documents from my parents place two separate times because the employees that assisted me didn’t have enough knowledge alone to tell me everything that I need on the first visit. I had to talk to 4 separate employees to gather everything I need in order to get my license plates. One lady even promised me I would get my license plate the next time I visited because she saw how defeated I looked. Guess what, I didn’t get it the next time I visited because something else was missing. Hopefully the next time I go I will get my plates… That is after I get my mother’s ss card overnighted and then wait in their long line one more time. Finger’s crossed.

Got my driver’s license and registration renewed recently during late afternoon, new pic and everything, all under 20 minutes. I can’t be mad at that! Of course, as you’d expect any other BMV, you will be waiting in line, so bring your smartphone and kill some time with games. Another plus is that the staff does not consist of your usual brusque, crabby government workers. They are friendly and courteous, probably because this place doesn’t get *too* packed. I’ve been a devotee ever since I discovered how much the downtown one sucks.

I know what you’re thinking. Hanging out at the BMV is a blast.
Actually, this isn’t that terrible of a place. Getting your tags renewed is boring, at the least, and a hassle at its worst. But the people at this BMV branch know how to speed the process along. When I came in, I was probably the 20^th person in line and I was thinking «Great, so I’m going to be here for an hour or so until I get to the front of the line» but guess what– 20 minutes! And unlike the people at other branches, they actually seem like they don’t hate their lives and everyone that comes in it. I was pleasantly surprised. I think I’ll make this my regular branch.
It’s tucked away in a small strip mall next to a Family Dollar and a real estate (?) place, and the sign in not exactly apparent, but when you find it, hurry in.
