Oh. My. Goodness. I’ll let my purchase for today speak for itself. 2 dresses, 5 pairs of shoes, 3 pairs of earrings, 2 belts, 1 purse(originally $ 90 Nine West for $ 30!), a headband set, a huge thing of conditioner, and a face scrub. Total: $ 184BOOM! Is this serious? They have EVERYTHING for so cheap. Watch out… if you’re one of those«every time I go into Target I spend $ 100» kind of people, this place is about to make Target look like child’s play. Happy shopping!

I see that our Community Manager has found this store to be a bonanza for kitchenware – in all seriousness, bully for her for that discovery! BUT: This business is called«Burlington COAT Factory,» and I have lately been in the market for both a parka and a peacoat-style coat. And based on its selection of actual men’s COATS in the last couple of months, Burlington COAT Factory sucks like a warehouse supply’s worth of Hoovers, Electroluxes, Mieles, Dysons, and Orecks. Truly pitiful. (Five years ago, this store had a MUCH better selection of coats. What the hell happened?) Most of the other menswear on the floor is given over to clothes – the store used to call it «streetwear” – that look for the most part like they’re designed with 12-year-olds in mind. But in adult sizes.(Seriously, grown-ass men, you ought not to be wearing such clothes in public.) Only saving grace is the prices: For the meager selection that is on the floor, the prices are very reasonable.

Guys — I have just unearthed the greatest hoard of celebrity & name brand kitchenware you have ever seeeeeeen. Rows and rows of sad abandoned perfectly legit kitchen items & accessories line this store and for some reason no one thinks to come here. I for one am addicted. I got a roaster pan for $ 10. Moscow Mule COPPERMUGS($ 15-$ 30 a piece anywhere else) for $ 5! Rachel Ray ceramic baking dishes for $ 5 a piece(regularly $ 30) There are Calphalon pots & pan sets for under $ 100 which is unheard of. I don’t even need pots and pans but was tempted. This place is the mothership calling me home, and I will continue to pretend I am rich at dinner parties when my friends come over and see all my fancy name brand accessories from this place. Also — as other reviewers have stated when you walk in you are totally on your own. Everyone here hates their jobs, and you, and will not help you. But sometimes, I like being left alone. This place is my go-to for entertainment/hosting pieces.

Who doesn’t love a bargain. And let’s face it, when you walk in a BCF, you know what you’re getting in to. When I’m in the neighborhood, with time to kill, I’ve been known to stop in to Burlington to sift through the racks. Admittedly, I’ve found many a baby shower gift here and usually head for the accessories and kitchen/household areas first-these are the departments where I’ve had the most luck. But I’ll be honest, this place is close to falling off the list of places I’d consider going. When shopping at a place like this(TJ Maxx for example), the clothes is usually racked by size which should make it easy to flip through to see if there’s a gem. In my most recent visits, it seems not much care has been taken to make sure that items are hung in the right section. Random pants with the shirts, a small on the large rack, hangers indicating one size and the item tag another, etc. If I can’t expect to find items in my size in the marked area, what’s the point? Another issue I’ve encountered on trips when I’ve actually made a purchase is that they will have one checkout open with 15 people in line. Maybe I’ve become too used to the u-scan option for my groceries, but I’ve definitely stood waiting weighing the supposed deal in my hand against the amount of time I will spent in line to pay for it. Overall, I’ve experienced pleasant staff, and the store seems clean. It’s a solid go to for baby items, but, if you’re looking for a bargain store for other things and you’re in the area, I suggest heading to Rookwood to TJ Maxx/Norstrom Rack/Homegoods. These places make it much easier to shop.

Burlington Coat Factory is one of those spots that I’d never been to but seen the commercials for years. I know they had deals on clothing(although truth be told, I thought it was just winter stuff) but that was it. What I found was … an expereince. So Burlington Coat Factory is a deal-hunter’s paradise. The store is indeed a little rundown as Amy said but the sections are clearly marked and off to men’s we went. I was hoping to find a sports coat for summer — something fun, light and a good look. What I was told that even if I saw one thing that I liked and it didn’t fit, to try on all the ones in the rack, since they weren’t identical. Sure enough, a medium coat one time fit terribly and then the next one, which looked exactly the same, fit perfectly. What? Weird. Also, the staff is very uninterested in helping. Not once were we approached asking if we needed anything. I actually asked one of the staff how the coat looked and she seemed annoyed I was bothering her. Ah well. So we spent more time here than I thought we would, but I found a coat in the end. Huzzah!

The building is falling apart. The staff is totally uninterested in helping you. There is a weird smell ALWAYS. But on the upside you might find a great deal that makes it all worthwhile! I scored a Calvin Klein dress for $ 12. Worth it.
