Crystal M.

Business Owner

Crystal McCray is a mother of three children and a graduate of Northcentral University with a BA in Marketing/​Sports Management concentrating on Sports Law.

Armed with key information to begin her career as a Sports Agent, her life took a dramatic change. In 2008, she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, and made a miraculous recovery the following year.

Faced with a condition that could have changed the rest of her life,

Crystal always wanted to showcase positive African Americans here in Cincinnati concentrating on a younger demographic, and felt mainstream media was not providing that outlet.

Along with her long time friend, Chauncey Reed, the both of them created the concept for The Cincinnati Defender.
