Doesn’t even deserve a quarter of a star. Fecal matter all over our bathroom towels, hair in the toilet, half the toilet paper roll was missing, loud heat blasting all night. Called to show staff member fecal matter on towels, and he came up and was embarrassed. Was told I would be refunded, and never received credit. Disputing with credit card company at this point.
Don’t even get me started on the nasty waterpark with half the attractions closed, no one working at the bar, no towels…

Terrible! Will never return. So bad it pushed me to write this so you don’t suffer and waste your money the way we did!
Dirty bathrooms terrible food service. 2 hours after ordering pizza. Still no pizza!!! Out of sauce and dough they finally said and the person at the store was still 25 min away so we ordered chicken instead. Mistake. Ketchup only for dipping most of them were burned to a crisp.
Main attraction in the middle was closed for the first few hours and finally opened. By 3 the large slides and basketball were closed down. Are you kidding me!
The place seems to be run by kids. No adults in sight — with lifeguards dancing and not paying attention.
We were a group of 30 with 23 of those being kids. That’s a ton of $ for such terrible service.

can someone help me learn how to give 0 stars? They reopened last weekend but should have stayed closed to clean the place. Puke in the pool, I heard that one guest from our group had bed bugs in their bed. Not really sure how to rate this for the parents of the kids. Kids would rate it 3 I would guess b/​c were we committed so they made the best of it.
Never again, well think about this… the manager uses a gmail email account. Not sure they are even committed to the place…

I took my daughter here last year for her birthday we had a great time. She wanted to go again this year. It was awful. first the guy at the front desk had no clue what he was doing and they were super busy he had no help. I thought this was the crown royal hotel but obviously from the sign out front said it’s the Red Lion now. Our room was filthy no sheets or blankets on the beds and it took them two hours to get them to us. But the lady that brought them to us was very nice I wish I would have gave her a tip thanks Megan. We decided to go swimming and that was a joke. The staff was very rude acted like they were just walking around doing nothing really. The pool water was dark not clean at all and the bar wasn’t even open for the adults. The toilet and tub in our room was dirty I wouldn’t even sit on it. We went to breakfast the next morning and it was just breads really and last year it was a nice hot breakfast bar. I will never come back or stay here again it was not worth the two hour drive and my money.

Took me awhile to write this. So pitiful, poor, dirty, overpriced money pit. It’s hard to understand how this place survives. Probably should close it and sell it.

Absolute flop. The water park is filthy and disgusting! I will never go back. We dos a groupon. Thank goodness because I wasted money. Don’t waste your time! In addition the staff was extremely rude and the arcade was in poor condition. Half the he’s were not working. Horrible experience!!!

We went on the Friday morning before July 4 and found it to be a great water park experience for the kids. It was very clean, and the facilities looked well-​kept. We have kings island passes and I would say that the water park here (while indoors) is better maintained. The arcade for the children was nicely priced (most games 30 or 50 cents) and between the 5 of us $ 25 spread across 5 game cards lasted a relatively long time.
Basic food and drinks were appropriately priced. Plenty of slides and fun for the kids, a lazy river, and some bigger tube and body slides for the bigger kids and adults. The lazy river wasn’t open when we got there due to staffing problems (people being late for work) but it did eventually open. The lifeguards are not as aggressive with the children as with other places, which I found relaxing. It was also not very crowded which allowed us to really get our money’s worth in under three hours.

Horrid customer service. Buffet staff were rude. Water park staff was rude. Managers were unconcerned. We found several roaches in the pool area and promptly left.

The service was poor from the time we checked in til the time we left. I waited 30 minutes just to get my Waterpark pass. The lockers stopped taking the pass code and had to wait over an hour for maintenance staff to open them. Finally the food was crap and so was the service from the lady at the food bar.
As for the hotel, it’s not the worst place I’ve stayed in but it left much to be desired. We had a broken toilet that took 4 hours and 2 calls to the front desk for maintenence to come fix. The elevators worked occasionally and we never had maid or turn down service until our checkout date. Plus on top I had a random worker come barge in at 6pm at night claiming to do room checks.
I will never return to this dump again.

Had a blast. Until. «Security» walked right past a drunk passed out on the table about to fall over and throw up. Passed him twice, got lunch. Sat two tables away from the guy and didn’t say anything. So we were responsible and told the bartenders. We told them that the white shirt walked by twice and sat and ate lunch instead. They said «oh he’s not security.». Okay. Well guess who has their lunch ended. As we walked out we said good job and «security» proceeded to run out the door — into the arcade. Pushed me and my friend out of the way. Just to get in our friends face and ask if we had a problem. Said we needed to leave — we are. You followed us out. We told him to worry about the falling over drunks — as we were sober. Leaving. We told him he walked by him twice and didn’t do anything. That he was more worried about food, his response was — oh well. Really? He then proceeded to get into my friends face and threaten him. Mind you — we’re sober. As I’m finishing to type this because we just left. It’s a family place. He called my friend a fat beotch. Told us to leave. Dude. We are! Stop being so ridiculous. We were leaving before you ran after us, pushed us, and harassed us. I’m so glad that «security» cares SO much about their patrons. Little does he know — he’s still not a badass, and he wasn’t security. Just some stupid idiot with a shirt on. Show off.

We stayed at the hotel for my daughter’s birthday in mid-​January. We had adjoining rooms and the heat was not working in one of the rooms. We reported it to the front desk and no one ever came to check it. At about 2:45 am, I woke up to something making my leg itch. I turned on the light and found a bed bug. We called the front desk and were moved immediately. The née room also had working heat. The hotel is a good concept but needs renovation. The elevators are not convenient to the hotel lobby. The ice machines on several floors were not working. Parking is not convenient to the hotel entrance.

POOr SERVICE all the way around.
From the start at the check in– totally unorganized and unprofessional for the word go. The place appears to be totally ran by teenagers without any adult supervision.
The food court is a disaster to order from as no one knows what to do. One person starts to do something and then is told by another that it is all wrong. Are you open or closed? Can you make pizza or not?
Beverages for the birthday party never came and was acted like we were bothering them to compete our order. Everything was pushed off to the birthday coordinator who could of cared less about anything other going home.

We bought the New Years Eve package for 6 people… 2 adults and 4 kids. This was the first time we had been to Coco Key.
The good: the kids all had fun, so that made it a success. They ran around the waterpark for hours and had a great time.
Otherwise, I’d have a hard time recommending Coco Key or the hotel. Room was clean, but a bit dated. Beds were a little hard for my taste. We didn’t have enough toilet paper when we checked in, but got some right away.
Everything in the hotel was dated… this place needs a renovation. They also seemed to be pretty understaffed in all areas — for instance one water ride was closed because of a lack of lifeguards. But the staff we did deal with was friendly and helpful.
Also the bar didn’t open til 5 on NYE… and they only had one bartender. The snack bar credit card machine didn’t work… and all of the vending machines were out of order.
Biggest issue was food. With the New Years package we paid for a buffet dinner and breakfast. The food they advertised was totally different than what they actually put out, and what they put out was not good at all. We heard a lot of people complain to management… we did the same, and to their credit they did refund us $ 100.
If you’re just going to the waterpark for the day with the kids, it’s probably ok. Otherwise, I’d skip this place until they do a major overhaul.

Nice, ex-​Crown Plaza, quality infrastructure. However, the plumbing (toilet flapper ball) was messed up, and we could hear other malfunctioning plumbing. Did not go to the adjoining pricy water park, but there are two pools at the hotel.
Breakfast was mayhem, most «hot» food items were missing or in poor supply, and not quite the variety we were hoping for. Staff was pleasant, and the room was good. Wifi was ok; parking reasonable. Nice location, easy to find. This was a Hotwire deal, so the price was reasonable. We get the feeling others paid more.

Giving it a 1 star is being completely generous. If it was possible it wouldn’t get any stars! Necessary to keep reading? Sure, let me tell you about what a complete dump this place is!
The beds were clean and well made, and that’s about all I can say on the positive side. They are very understaffed and it was evident when we sat at the lobby bar, patrons were in the bar with drinks. In the 15 minutes we sat there, we did not see the bartender. I’m guessing the front desk staff did the bar too? I’m not waiting for that kind of service…
The hotel portion is very worn. You could tell that back in the day that this was probably a nice place. There are nicks and scuffs on everything, paint peeling, and dirty carpets. The shower was missing a handle and the hair dryer handle was so sticky with hair stuck to it, that I had to wrap a towel around the handle to even use it.
No vending machines worked. You have to buy the $ 2 small party favor size bag at the lobby store.
The water park was open, but only a portion of it. That too looked like it had seen better days. Then I realized the sign for the prices. A complete rip off! They must think they are Disney! The arcade was nothing to write home about. Just another place to dump your money with them. Hey, I already did that with my room.
How this venue can have 3 stars is beyond me. What a dive!

Tonight I am reminded of an old expression, «You never get a second chance at first impression». Brief version: I give a no star review.
After getting an email confirmation from Hotwire telling me there was no need to re confirm reservation, this hotel can’t find it.
There is only one desk receptionist who talks to someone (Chip, the mysterious man behind the curtain) on cell speaker phone for instructions. No one answers the desk phone while she looks for a missing fax from Hotwire.
Since the receptionist declared «you ain’t be in there» and the hotel can not accept my email confirmation, I have been ignored until Hotwire can send another fax.
After two calls to Hotwire I’m told they don’t have the correct fax # for hotel. However, the receptionist had pulled 3 other Hotwire faxes off the fax while I was waiting.
There were two Hotwire faxes she left in front of me while she left her desk. Privacy issues here?
I’ve been waiting for over an hour, a man has come in to help and no one has yet expressed any concern to me over this issue.
At last I am checked in and got a deadpan «I’m sorry for your wait» and received no instructions like where the elevator is, or any hope my experience may improve.
What a contrast to the last three nights experiences at two Sheratons where friendly helpful people went out of their way to provide extra service and info to make our stay extra special.
I will NEVER stay at a Radisson again or use Hotwire’s service.

This place was the biggest nightmare ever!!! The staff, was the rudest people ever, this place is downright, filthy… hallways are a disaster, the room smelled like pee, I cannot even begin to tell you how terrible this experience was for my best friend and our children, they didn’t go out of their way, the customer service at this establishment was down right appalling. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone, unless you enjoy being treated terribly, you aren’t a guest in this place! Let’s just say they ruined one whole day of our weekend! The staff didn’t know what they were doing at all, lied and said they didn’t have a number for the manager, (lie) I worked at a hotel before~! later to find out, I talked to the staff and they even told me the assistant managers name, and they could get ahold of him! This place is a train wreck, they wouldn’t even allow our pizza delivery guy to come to our room, the old man at the front was screaming at my kids, and called up to the room and said if we didn’t come get the pizza now he would make him leave. Then he told my boys I had better come to the front desk LMAO! I called the old man, and he said you better come down NOW. HAHA you aren’t my daddy!!! apparently, he couldn’t come up to my room, you actually think I’m going out of my way to come talk to you after you guys went out of your way to ruin our weekend??? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! I’m getting ahole of the BBB AND ALSO Radisson which in fact the front desk girl told me Radisson didn’t even own the place, but they are still going off of their name! This isn’t a Radisson Hotel, they don’t treat their customers like CRAP, and they take pride in their clean establishments. Do not waste your money in this dump! Unless, you like being treated like a second class citizen~ the employees I spoke with HATED working there also, even agreed this place is a terrible place, VERY SAD, biggest dissapointment to my children mostly, I cannot wait to spread this place all over with how terrible they made our stay!
This isn’t even a fraction of the story, I would be here all day! *****STAY AWAY SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

This past Friday night my wife and I took the kids to meet up with some of my in-​laws for some indoor water park fun at Coco Key in Sharonville. The temperature outside was below freezing and there was plenty of snow on the group, so a warm indoor activity was just what we needed!
I’ve only been to one other indoor water park, Fort Rapids outside of Columbus, but I have seen the inside of the Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, and the size of CoCo Key is smaller than both. Basically there is a fairly large interactive play area in the middle of a lazy river. On the other side of the building is the zero-​depth entry area with slides for the little ones. At the back of the building are four water slides with tubes that run outside. To round out the attractions are an indoor/​outdoor hot tub and an activity pool with basketball hoops.
I did not visit the small children’s area, but my wife took our nine-​month-​old there and found the water to be much too cold. It didn’t help that the air temperature inside wasn’t as warm as I would have liked. One of the employees said that they are closed during the week, and since they just opened at 4pm the night of our visit, it would take some time for things to heat up. Despite what was said, we found the water to be much warmer in all other attractions. So we spent a good majority of the time either in the lazy river or the activity pool, but since life jackets are required for the latter (54″ and under) we didn’t stay there long.
I did find some time to spend with the older kids in our group and enjoyed the three water slides that were operating. One of the slides was boarded up and had no water flowing through it. The hot tub was also a nice feature but is restricted to those guests 16 and over. We all had free passes or discounted tickets through Groupon, which seem to be offered fairly regularly. I would have a hard time paying the standard daily rate of $ 25 per person, but there are even discounts offered on their website. We ended up spending the better part of four hours at the water park and would recommend it for a good winter activity.

Really have no complaints about this place. Several water attractions for the children to play in. We got a groupon for $ 40 for the four of us. The children (4&5) love it. They have Pizza Hut and a little bar with okay prices (medium pizza and 5 bread sticks $ 16, bucket of 6−16oz bud lights $ 15). You can get a yearly pass at a great price too if your local. I didn’t get my feet wet and still had a good time.

My sister was in town and looking for some water fun, and we happen to live in walking distance from CoCo Key Water. Also, I had a groupon bringing the adult rate to $ 12/​person. My son was free since he was under 2. I definitely would never pay $ 25/​person, not when there are often groupons and online at their website I’ve seen other such deals. Even if there was no deal, $ 25 is too much.
This place is great for after labor day when all the other free or almost free public pools and wet play areas close down for the summer.
We went on a Friday afternoon around 5PM and stayed until 8PM. The place stayed nice and uncrowded for the majority of the time, which is how we wanted it for sure. We did all the play areas pretty much. There was quite a bit of variety for the size of the place.
I felt staff were nice and attentive. There were a huge number of life guards for the number of people in the water that day. Some of them/​many of them seemed in training. I’m not sure if there’s a lot of turn over or if it’s because we went the week that fall hours went into effect, so they had different staff from the summer hours.
That said, there were some things they seemed super atttentive to, like making sure people exited the slide area safely and quickly and making sure people didn’t go in places they were not supposed to. I think they could have been a little bit more on top of things like ‘no running’ and in the kiddie play area making sure kids didn’t crowd the slides. But meh. In their defense they did try. I think all the whistle blows I heard that day were for running. Kids were just too excited.
I felt the pool area and bathrooms/​changing rooms/​showers appeared clean and kept up. No gross out factor there like some reported.
We had a blast. I also liked that there were life vests to use so my son had the experience of swimming. It was great. I was impressed with how much there was for him to do even though he couldn’t ride any of the ‘big’ slides.
Some of the negatives: Kind of annoyed at some of the parents who treated the water park like a giant baby sitter. They were sitting back, drinking their beers, and had no idea where their kids were, I’m sure. I’ll tell you where they are… horsing around in the lazy river or running. Also some parents who thought it would be a great idea to sneak their glass beers into the lazy river. This isn’t an actual river people. And then because they kept having to hide it from the million guards lining the river, spilled most of it into the water. Thanks.
I was surprised at the roughness of the bottom of some of the play areas. I’m sure it helps with the no slipping. But I ended up with essentially blisters and shaved skin on the bottom of my feet, I’m thinking from the lazy river. I mean, it was like a grater shaving off my skin on the soles of my feet. That’s kind of little too rough. Solvable problem… next time I’ll just wear socks.
Finally, my sister went into the adult only hot tubs. I did not… I don’t do hot tubs and I had the baby. She ended up with an itchy rash in the crease of both of her elbows. We think it’s from the hot tubs since neither me nor my son have any break-​outs and that’s the only thing she did differently from us. The thing is, it’s pretty common for hot tubs to cause bacterial infections like that. I mean it’s hot and bacteria loves hot. But still, gross. Luckily we have some extra strength antibiotic cream at home and it’s cleared up quickly.
That said, I think I’d totally go back, buy a groupon, wait for an ‘off’ time, wear socks, and not go in the hot tub. It was a great afternoon out of the ordinary.
