Good service! Honestly, I was a bit apprehensive about the service I’d be getting because of the low price. When I made the appt. I was quoted much less than any other moving company I’d talked to. To my surprise, service was great!
The guys that came to move my things were friendly and efficient. They took good care of my stuff as they were moving. None of my items were broken or damaged during the move. The guys did a great job staying within their two hour timeframe. They worked efficiently and got done in a timely manner.
I’d use their services again.

Great guys, very quick and accommodating. Just used them for a second time and they will get the call next time we move!

My husband and I used D&R to move into our first home. In the condo we were moving out of (a rental), a member of the team knocked into a pendant lamp and shattered it. It was an accident, I get it, accidents happen. I called Raymond, the owner, while the movers were still there, and he asked me to take photos and assured me that he would reimburse us for the lamp at a later date.
The team also caused damage in the home we were moving into, as they rushed carrying our bed frame upstairs and scraped the metal frame against the wall all the way up the stairs, gouging the wall (it’s wood paneling, so we couldn’t even paint over it). None of our furniture was wrapped or cared for, and I had to ask several times that they slow down. We were paying by the hour, not by the job, so I’m not sure why they were in such a rush.
At the end of the move, we handed them a credit card and were informed that they were cash only, even though we had spoken to Ray when we booked the move and he said we could use a credit card.
The worst of it all though, happened after the move was completed. I got the pendant lamp from the condo appraised by an art dealer (it was an antique), and they came back with a pretty high figure ($ 2500). After some negotiation with the owner of the condo, we settled on a more reasonable replacement figure ($ 600). I had several photos of the lamp before and after, a quote from a local art dealer, and a settlement letter from the owner of the condo. I first tried emailing Raymond with all of this information, and received no response. After about a week, I called. No answer. I left a message, he never called back. I started calling more often, a couple times a week, left more messages, no response. Once he finally answered the phone, he claimed to «remember me, sure» but also claimed that he never stated that he would pay for the broken lamp and that I had signed a waiver stating they wouldn’t be responsible for damages (I didn’t do that, obviously, and I would NEVER do that). He continued to shout at me and insult me, and eventually hung up on me altogether. I considered taking him to small claims court, but was already so worn out by the three month battle with D&R that I ended up paying the $ 600 to the owner of the condo out of my own pocket.
NEVER. EVER. GIVE. THEM. ANY. OF. YOUR. MONEY.
Raymond is a despicable excuse for a businessman and this experience was by far the worst I have ever had as a paying customer, for any service, in my life. D&R made an already stressful experience (moving) a hundred times worse. STAY AWAY.

Used these guys yesterday for a 3 stop move. They were great, very fast, and handled my stuff with care. I was even able to book them on Thursday for a Sunday move!

I cannot say enough great things about this company! I was scheduled to move yesterday (several weeks in advance) with another company. One hour before they were to arrive, they canceled due to cold weather. Yes, it was 4 degrees outside, but when you have to move out of your house… rescheduling isn’t really an option! Especially with a one hour notice. In a total panic, I called D&R and they sent a three man crew to my door within four hours! These guys moved my two bedroom house in 2.25 hours! And at a third of the cost of my quoted other «scheduled» move. If you’re moving, these are the folks to call!

I had made an appointment for a Saturday (1÷10÷2015) move from 12 — 2 window. After 12:00 came and passed I called the office with some questions and I was informed then that the truck had broken down (I had to call them, they should have called me right away!). The manager said he would call me back in an hour to let me know if the move could be done that day and if not schedule a future appointment at a discount. An hour came and went without a phone call so we called the office phone number. A lady answered the phone and told us that the manager was out for the day and that our move wouldn’t be happening that day. So we asked for the manager to call us back and tried to schedule an appointment for Sunday (the day after), to which she couldn’t confirm if there was any availability. Another hour or so rolled by with no phone call from this company so we called them back trying to confirm if we could move with them on Sunday — no one answered the phones at the office just before 5 even though online it said that they close at 6. Sunday morning we call the D&R offices again, and no one answers, again. It is now Thursday and I have not heard from anyone at D&R in regards to this ‘truck breakdown’ — not even to offer an apology.
D&R has far the worst customer experience. DO NOT RELY ON D&R FOR YOUR MOVE!

Great experience with my movers. They were very careful not to damage my furniture. They were super fast. They help fit all my stuff in to a storage unit that was probably to small but they were expert packers and got it all to fit. Which will save me money since I don’t need another storage unit. Great job D & R Movers!

Worst moving company ever.
One of the movers hired to complete our move across town destroyed a lamp. Company has not reimbursed us for the damage caused by their employee, and has not responded to our requests to resolve the issue.
Movers were over an hour late past their scheduled window. They did not shrink wrap any of our furniture. Company represented that they would accept checks prior to move. On day of move, I was informed that the moving company only accepted cash.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I hired D R Moving a month before my move date and called several days ahead to confirm my appointment. I was scheduled for a 12−2pm appointment. I called at 3pm after not hearing anything from anyone and was told to remain patient. I called back several times throughout the day and spoke with several different customer service representatives. None were helpful or understanding of my predicament. I needed to have everything out of my apartment on the day of my move because it was the last day of my lease. Ultimately nobody every showed up or called to explain why or reschedule an appointment. I had to rent a U-​Haul and move everything myself. It was truly a hellish experience and I would not recommend this company. Horrific customer service. I would have been much more understanding if they were proactive in communicating with me but there was no such courtesy. This is truly a shameful organization with an incompetent customer service staff.

They not only let me make a last minute reservation, but also had no problem with me changing the actual unload time the day of the reservation twice (landlord issues). They were prompt, fast, and charged exactly what they said they would on the phone. Would definitely recommend to anyone planning a move!

If I could do 2.5 stars for D & R, I would. They were friendly enough on the phone and in person, arrived on time, and charged one of the most reasonable rates I could find. However, one of the two movers was fairly new… marks on my walls to prove it. If you are moving nicer stuff (unlike me…) I would recommend that you pay more for another mover. This might be a situation where you get what you pay for.

Ok we all love the to be in a new apt or house. But who really loves to move all your stuff there? NOT ME! So I decided to get some movers. I have used D&R in the past and I was always impressed with them. So after I checked around for the best deal I came right back to D&R.Prices very reasonable! My movers was Rob and Brad. They were very friendly and they lift my sofa, freezer, washer, and dryer etc like it was a BABY!! I was very impressed with them. My move was done under 2 hours!

My friend and I hired D&R to move last summer and they did a phenomenal job. Two guys came and loaded up the truck, delivered, and unloaded in well under the time that was quoted. Since we were under the two hour minimum, the guys moved boxes and helped pack things into to the new storage unit. They did a great job of getting the bed down a narrow stairwell, and moving bulky furniture through tight spaces.
The rate was by far the most affordable in Cincinnati:
$ 70.00 per hour (2 hour minimum)
$ 40.00 travel fee
Total: $ 180.00
Most other places were well over $ 200.00, the next cheapest I found being $ 235.00.
We had to pay in cash, which was not mentioned upfront. We were prepared to write a check, but ended up making an impromptu trip to the bank to withdraw cash. This was an added hassle on an already hectic day.
This year, I wanted to book D&R for another upcoming move, but they would not come to Northern Kentucky. I was frustrated since their headquarters is a stone’s throw away from where I live. The relocation was from Newport to Downtown Cincinnati, a total of four miles. I really wanted to use D&R, but instead had to book an expensive mover who charged $ 235.00.
If you’re on the Ohio side of the river and relocating Downtown, D&R does a fabulous job. If your move involves Kentucky, look elsewhere.

Wow! I know moving is supposed to be horrible … and mine was truly a hell-​raising awful experience … but damn if D&R didn’t make it at least a little better.
I’m never one to hire out a job lightly, so I made my calls before booking — D&N was by FAR the cheapest in the area. I needed to go from a first floor without an elevator to a third floor with and had about a half dozen big items and a few smaller but awkwardly shaped.
The woman on the phone discussed the whole move with me and let me know exactly what I’d need (two guys at $ 70 an hour with a minimum of two hours plus a $ 40 travel fee, coming to $ 180 in total. Everyone else was above $ 200!)
The movers were supposed to be there between 9 and 10 but got there about 10:45. Oh well, I wasn’t finished packing anyway. The two men were professional, friendly and quick. We actually got all of the stuff out of my apartment and into the new place in less than two hours, so then they just helped me move boxes.
Watch out — for some reason, they only take cash … something they didn’t tell me before coming to my place. I actually had to run to the bank — nothing something you want to do on a day of a move when your car is filled with junk. This is really the only thing keeping them from 5-​stars. Either take my check or let me know beforehand. That wasn’t cool.
Still, they were cheap and awesome and I’d hire them again in a minute.
