History

Established in 2005.

David McClain Photography started in Michigan in 2005 with one camera, 2 lenses and a passion for people. Many weddings and a few years later, it has grown into a Cincinnati based studio that in addition to David includes 2 photojournalists, a PR photographer and a handful of second shooters and assistants. And for you techies out there — a few more cameras and lenses.

David is a member of the PPA and David McClain Photography has won The​Knot​.com Best Of Weddings for 2010 – 2011 and 2011 – 2012 years running and The Wedding Wire Bride’s Choice award for 2011 – 2012.

Business Owner

David has a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Cedarville University. He started photographing for yearbook in high school because he had too many study halls. Photography has always been a part of David’s life, but it was not until 2 years after graduating college that he decided it was his calling to serve people and give them an incredible experience with photography.

David’s first passion is people. When he isn’t behind the camera, he is laughing and making new friends. Actually he does that behind the camera as well. David firmly believes that photography is about you, not about the photographer.

Apparently he also likes to talk about himself from a third person perspective…
