Express Service Signs & T-shirts

As a small business owner, I was fortunate to come across Express Service Signs & T-​shirts for all of my printing needs. Paula is knowledgeable, honest and provides excellent customer services. The products are high-​quality and delivered in a timely manner. I highly recommend this company!

I recently stopped into Express Service Signs & T-​shirts on a Friday to get a quote for a very small run of Ts (read to see if i could get them on short notice – I needed them the next friday – oh, and i only want 4, oh, and they all have a different second imprint). Paula was extremely friendly and helpful. She took a look at the artwork I provided and discussed what would work well and what potential problems she might have with it. We talked solutions and she gave me the opportunity to fix up the file and get it back to her the next day. In correspondence a couple of days later, she let me know a couple of details still weren’t large enough to print well so they would drop off. I said «Ok, you’re the pro. I trust your judgement.» When I went in to pick up the shirts, I was amazed to see everything was there. She told me she had done them without the small details as we had discussed but wasn’t happy with the result, so she took the time to go back into the artwork, beef up the detail and print just those pieces on each shirt (read 4 imprints when i was asking for 2). THE SHIRTS ARE AMAZING! Great printing on a quality shirt. I am super proud to wear mine (and I think the rest of my relay team would agree). I would recommend Paula and her Express Service Signs & T-​shirts to anyone in need of custom shirts. I have worked with a lot shirt vendors and over the years and as long as it is my choice will never go anywhere else.

I always try to be fair and point out highs and lows of any experience (if they apply), but in this case I can’t say enough wonderful things about my experience with Express Service Signs & T-​Shirts. I was in dire need of a good printing company to print some new t-​shirts for my place of work and came across Alex S.‘s review for Express Service (
). It was a great review with enough depth + info that I felt it was worth a shot, so I contacted them at their e-​mail. I’d also contacted several other vendors as well, but Express Service was the first to respond.
Paula quickly got back to me and over the next few weeks we corresponded with designs, printing specs, all kinds of things — and not having much experience in t-​shirt printing, she was more than happy to answer every question I came up with (and I came up with a lot!). The prices were the same (if not better!) than other printing companies I’d corresponded with, especially the larger the order is.
Her responses were quick and her service was fantastic. We sent off our designs to be printed and I was able to stop in personally to check out the print quality, t-​shirt color, printing proof and have her show me what we’d be getting. She was even more friendly in person than she was over e-​mail, which made my day!
The shop itself is located in Reading and I love that when you walk in, you immediately see a lot of the various colors /​prints /​etc. they’ve done or are available. It’s a cute shop but very spacious and shows off a lot of great work, which was really reassuring to someone who is nervous about printing a large quantity of t-​shirts for an entire workplace.
She had our order ready by the agreed upon date and was happy to update us on the progress. Not only that, but we were unable to come pick up our order for some time after they were ready and had to hold off on picking them up. Paula was very flexible, patient, professional and when I informed her of the unexpected delay, she sent us photographs of the final product to give us an idea of how they turned out. They looked amazing!
The shirts turned out absolutely fantastic. I haven’t dealt much with printing t-​shirts, but I’ve seen good and bad printing jobs and since this was for our company, I was crossing my fingers for the best since they’d be going out to a large amount of people. Frankly I couldn’t have asked for anything better. The fabric quality is great and the designs are so sharp — they look dead on to the designs that I had sent her (made in Adobe Illustrator). I was totally in awe of how great they were and everyone else at the company was just as thrilled as me!
We got everything we had ordered and on time. Not only was the service flawless and our shirts turned out phenomenal, but Paula was so friendly and even took time to help me carry the boxes to my car. I will absolutely definitely positively use their services again in the future, and I can’t recommend them enough. :)

Behold the power of social media!
A while ago, I was followed on Twitter by Paula at @SignShopCincy. Now, usually I’m not a fan of businesses on Twitter — they’re usually all about promotion and less about connection. They use Twitter as a tool for free advertising instead of actually trying to, you know, be social. But Paula was different — she was funny and friendly, she joined into the conversation. It felt like she had a personal account with a business profile. That, I liked.
If you had asked me two months ago if I’d ever need to get something printed from her though, I would have said probably not. I just didn’t have any printing needs. Fast forward to now and I need a poster and a banner professionally created. So who do I think of? (Yes, you’re right, it’s this place I’m reviewing right now).
I checked out Paula’s prices and they were good — as good as anywhere else I could find and much cheaper than the bigger printing stores. I also checked out her work, which looks great — just what I was looking for. And so, I gave her a call.
I could not have been happier with the experience. I laid out exactly what I wanted Paula to do over the phone and we talked about options and pricing. She asked me to send her the images I wanted and she would make up templates for what they would look like. When she sent me back the proofs, they weren’t exactly what I was looking for, and she was happy to fix them up until they were perfect.
Better than that, she was quick! She emailed me back quick, she got the work done quick — 5 days for a poster and a banner. That was awesome.
Paula also works in bulk, so the more you want to buy, the cheaper it is. Plus, there’s no nickel and diming going on. I asked if she carried easels for me to put the poster up on. «No, I don’t. You’re better off going to some place like Office Max down the road. I know it’s another stop for you, but I can’t compete with their prices. It really would just be cheaper for you to go there.» Honesty. Love it.
I also dig her shop. It was this rather large space full of life and color, basically displaying everything she can do in a funky way. It didn’t even have that awful plasticy smell that a lot of sign shops can have sometimes, so win to that. Paula was also unexpected — she didn’t look at all like I thought she would. She was tattooed and loud and funny and really nice to finally meet in person — I was kind of expecting a middle-​aged white-​haired woman working behind a counter (sorry Paula).
Not sure if you need any major printing done, but this is my recommendation. I’d also recommend following her on Twitter because she’s amusing, but that’s a sign of a different color.
