This is a great little park tucked away in Fairview. It is essentially a one way trail, but with great views of the city. By the playground and ball fields you get a great view of downtown, and keep going and you’ll get a great view of the Mill Creek Valley. Why 3 stars? There is a lot of sketchy happenings on the row going through the park. When I’m out on a run I’ve seen, prostitutes getting out of cars, drug deals, and it always reeks of pot. I’ve never had any trouble personally but, it wouldn’t be the greatest place to bring kids. The police really should patrol this more and close it after dark. If I didn’t scare you off, come enjoy the great views and be mindful of the seedier elements.

Many people don’t know about Fairview Park. It’s a great little«hidden gem» in Cincinnati. I love to run through the park, it’s a relatively flat and shady ~1.5 miles. The harder part of the run is going up/down the enormous hill leading into the park. They offer a nice playground for kids, basketball courts, a soccer field, and a baseball diamond(the latter two are a tad beat up, but still serve their purpose). The best part about the park is the panoramic views. There are TWO. One breathtaking view of Downtown &OTR, and the other of the train station & Union Terminal. Both so fantastic. I love to come down here on the Fourth of July and watch the Fireworks throughout the city. People post up there all day & cook out and it’s a fun experience. I wouldn’t recommend going at night by yourself, it can be a little sketchy(especially the road parts with no park-features) and safety might be a concern. During the day it’s completely fine, with many families and people from the surrounding neighborhood hanging out with their kids & dogs. Highly recommend a visit if you’ve never been before. If you live in the Clifton area, make it a part of your jog!

This park is not much more than a winding, one-way road connecting West McMillan and Ravine.(The entrance is just down the hill from St. Monica St. George in Clifton.) It takes less than two minutes to drive the length of the park. There is a sidewalk along the road, but you probably won’t walk that. Most of the scenery is just a lot of trees. There’s a playground, a pool, and a sports field, but I doubt anyone but the locals really use these. However, there is one standout feature that makes Fairview Park a must see. Across from the playground there is fantastic view of West End, OTR and Downtown Cincinnati. It’s an angle that you’ve probably never seen before. Bring your camera, and don’t miss stopping by here the next time your in Clifton.
