Service was sub par. Onion rings were so burnt it seemed like they fell asleep making them. No mgr is site. Ordered a milk shake that showed up long after the meal was done.

Came in on Monday holiday for later breakfast around 11:45, restaurant only half full and no one waiting Seated right away but waited 15 minutes and no one came to wait on us. Told cashier on way out, no response, and man who seated us saw us leaving but just said«have a nice day.» Didn’t mind too much– looked over breakfast bar on way out and most food looked overcooked/burnt.

Walked in and was seated right away. A couple of other folks walked in right after us. Nobody came to wait on us. Meanwhile the other people that came in were getting served. There was probably at total of 4 tables in the restaurant. There seemed to be plenty of staff but everyone was just standing around. After sitting for about 10 – 15 min we walked out.

The following was sent to Frisch’s corporate as a complaint email: As a lifelong Cincinnati native, I’m sorely disappointed in what I’ve seen Frisch’s become of the last 40 years. And its time Frisch’s corporate takes notice of the trends and acts on them. First and foremost is food taste and quality. I’ve watched Frisch’s food degrade from short-order meals to cafeteria or retirement home quality food, breakfat items notwithstanding. The sausage has nearly no spice to it. The burgers tend to be cooked til they’re dry enough to use as beverage coasters. I even once tried that portobella mushroom burger, something I’ve enjoyed elsewhere, and had to send it back because it was so bland and chewy. The onion rings used to have spices in the batter and were hand-dipped. They were my «favorite thing» as a kid. Now they taste like they come out of a bag from Sysco. The soups are bland and have absolutely NO seasoning to them. I had some vegetable and bean soup today, and I had to add lots of salt and pepper to both just to get some flavor. There was no bacon or ham in the bean soup, and the broth was thin and watery because all the beans were solid. None of the beans had been mashed to add starch and body to the broth. The salad bar has gone from a wide variety of tasty toppings in the 1980s to a handful of toppings and a dozen premade salads. And the rotation, quality, and upkeep of the salad bar are atrocious. I arrived at noon and found what was clearly yesterday’s salad mix, rusty, wilted, and an inch of condensate in the bottom of the bowl. And the dressings were watery, artificial, and largely lacking in any substantial flavor. I’ve yet to see a single entrée item that requires more than a butter knife to eat. Canned vegetables that are limp and flavorless. Its frankly like eating at a nursing home! In fact, your Golden Corral locations serve FAR tastier foods, things I actually need a knife for, and many times at a better value. So until I hear that Frisch’s quality and selection have improved drastically, you’ve lost a life-long customer. Not that you’d notice, my patronage has been steadily diminished as the shortcuts and sacrifices in quality have gone up. As a kid, we used to go 2 – 3 times a month. Now, I might go twice a year, at best. And generally only because I’m bored with everything else nearby.
