I’m a huge Gamestop fan, but I was disappointed with this location. Selection was very limited from most locations and worst of all, we weren’t acknowledged at all by the two staffers working there a single time during our 15 minutes in the store.

I’ve been going to this location for years for new releases, and the customer service was average at best(in and out, no talking); but I recently had an experience with a gentleman, Jeremy, who was very welcoming and actually seemed to know his sh*t with video games(history, upcoming releases, graphics, etc.) and was very helpful.

Gamestops are reliable sources of new & used video games. In general, Gamestop’s used games are more expensive than most other used sources. Gamestop relies on it’s ubiquity & convenience to overcome it’s poor pricing. The new games are priced at the industry standard list. This Gamestop excels at having a veteran, knowledgeable stuff. I’ve purchased probably thousands of dollars of video games from this location in the past few years and the staff has been consistently knowledgeable and friendly. They know to not push the whatever gimmick card or pre-order garbage overly hard and tend to be pretty knowledgeable about the product. In fact, yesterday, the manager knew the product & platform I was there to purchase before I stated it. Downsides of this location ARE location & size. Being in the Rookwood mall can make parking a nightmare on occasion given the density & popularity of most stores there. The actual store footprint is on the small side & can make for lower stocks than some of the other, larger stores. The clientele tends to be the affluent Oakley/Hyde Parkers, but occasionally, I terrible parent will use the demo kiosks as a baby sitter. Gamestops also give pretty low cash value for used games. Go to eBay or CD/Game Exchange in Norwood if this is your plan. If you looking to purchase new gaming product from efficient & knowledgeable sales reps, you can’t go wrong with Rookwood Gamestop.
