Great Oaks is a public career-​technical school district serving 36 school districts in southwest Ohio. Four campuses – Diamond Oaks in western Hamilton County, Laurel Oaks in Wilmington, Live Oaks in Milford, and Scarlet Oaks in Sharonville – offer more than 40 programs to prepare high school students for careers and college. Graduates can become certified in such career fields as health care, firefighting, digital arts, cosmetology, law enforcement, computer service, robotics, construction, and more.

In addition, certification programs are available for adults who want to begin a new career in less than a year.

Classes are also available for those who want to learn new skills for fun or professional development.

History

Established in 1970.

Great Oaks began in 1970 after the Ohio legislature passed laws allowing the formation of joint vocational school districts. This made it possible for school districts to join together to offer career-​based programs that would be too expensive for any individual school district to offer alone.
