History

Established in 1996.

Like many people, I experienced an incompetent teacher as a child. Frustrated with my progress, I sought out remedial study, changing my life. It was here that I discovered my true passion for teaching how to play with security and confidence. Unlike many others, I remember exactly how I learned to play. Soon after, I played professionally while studying with world class artists. Putting myself through college by teaching, I had developed the most successful guitar studio in the Twin Cities upon completing the Doctor of Musical Arts. Specially trained in children’s pedagogy, I maintained a small roster of children at all times. However, most of my students were adults. A significant number were advanced students, and some were even professionals. However, the majority were adults: either beginners, or frustrated with their past lack of progress. I have relocated to Cincinnati. With a competent teacher, anyone can learn to play with security and confidence.
