History

Established in 2015.

The Hampton Inn & Suites resides in the old Enquirer Newspaper building from the 1920’s. The hotel shares the same building with a Homewood Suites and is located in the heart of downtown Cincinnati. Our building has been completely restored while maintaining the look and feel of us being a historic hotel.

This is easily the nicest Hampton Inn I’ve ever stayed in. Both rooms I’ve had are immaculate and sleek! Conveniently located for walking to OTR shops and restaurants. The common spaces are stocked with coffee, wifi and comfortable seating. Stay on a higher floor for a fantastic big-​city feel!
I’ve found that parking across the street in the underground garage is easy and inexpensive.

A super nice hotel with friendly staff. Handled our large group attending a week long conference very well. Rooms are nice and quiet with large bath room. Plenty to choose from for breakfast each day. If your in the area I would recommend staying here.

This is a very new hotel to Cincinnati and what a great addition. Beautifully designed with all of the amenities. They have a fitness center on the same floor as the lobby that gets the job done when traveling. They have a nice breakfast with something for everyone. The front desk staff is very helpful and nice. Very close to a lot of restaurants and bars (yes, walking distance.) This place would be 5 stars except for one thing. The hotel bar. I was here for 4 nights and we went to the hotel bar three times, same bartender and he was not good. He never remembered us, he was slow and couldn’t multitask. Also, you cannot charge your drinks to the room. However, they cannot ring up more than one tab at a time (or he did not know how.) I had to wait to pay until the lady before me signed her slip. So, if they can fix the bar I would give it 5 stars.

This is a brand-​new hotel. It shares the former Cincinnati Enquirer building with a Homewood Suites. (Bravo for keeping that historic building instead of tearing it down!) The lobby is modern, open and light. The fitness center and breakfast area are located here, too. Our room was large and very clean and comfortable. The location is within walking distance of Fountain Square and Great American Ball Park. There are many restaurants nearby. All in all, a great value. I will definitely stay here again.

I love it when they turn old historical buildings into something new. This brand new Hampton Inn is smack in the center of downtown in the old Cincinnati Enquirer newspaper building. Developers took the old headquarters and converted half of it to a Hampton Inn and the other half to Homewood Suites. Woohoo — two new Hilton-​family hotels to choose from in downtown! I am guessing they could not make another full Hilton hotel because of the Hilton Nederland two blocks away. I have stayed there and this property is not only newer, but it is a lot nicer! As a frequent-​stayer of HI’s, this is not a typical HI. Check out my pics for a peek of what I am talking about.
This is a great area to stay in — lots of great restaurants, museums, theaters and other activities within walking distance.
