Beautiful facility with a fantastic gym. Every sort of cardio machine you can imagine and free weights and lifting machines as well. Staff is friendly. Absolutely great place!

I’ve never been to a gym/​club I enjoyed more. It is clean and well run and the price for all that you get is much more reasonable than other clubs in the area.
I have never had to wait to use any of the machines or weights. While it’s not huge, there is plenty of room to do whatever it is you love to do while working out. The cardio machines all have TVs with many channels and the pool is usually free. (There is single gender swim during the week on a schedule, but I have never found a time where I couldn’t swim when I wanted). There is a nice indoor track for walking or running. If you have kids, the pool is also great for them which has a lazy river and fun looking toys to play on.
The J has an attached spa where I have had a massage and really ejoyed it. There is also a small café which doesn’t have the greatest hours but have a pretty decent selcetion.

Great state of the art facility with plenty of things to keep you busy. The class list is extensive, especially during the day. Everything from spinning (with heart rate monitor readouts), yoga, total body, Zumba and dance.
If you are looking for weights their machines are «Smart» and for a few extra bucks you pick up this key card that you plug into each of the machines that not only tells you the settings for each machine but also records how much you’ve lifted, etc. At the end you take it to this station and it gives you a run down of your workout and you can brag to your friends that you lifted 20,000lbs that day. total BA macho woman.
Indoor/​Outdoor pools are nice along with the locker rooms, each locker has a key pad so need to worry if you forget your lock. Also because its a Jewish Community Center they are respectful and have certain hours for women only or men only swimming, also a smaller light weight room that follows a similar schedule.
They have a spa but I havent had the pleasure of receiving a massage or pedicure… hmm, note to self. Café has pretty basic food/​snacks. The community center part has many activities and also offers classes for adults and kids alike (extra fee)
Overall a very nice facility, trainers are a little apathetic if you arent doing a personal session but the individual instructors are helpful in classes.

I’ve been a member of the J since August 2010. I rarely miss the twice a week Aqualaties & Deep Water Aerobics classes. I live 3 blocks from Powell Crosley Y, but continuing going to the J because of Kelly Gray, the water instructor. Kelly is an outstanding instructor, she takes time with each new student and graciously spends extra time with any of us regulars. I also have fun with the Wii Bowling! I’m no longer working out on the machines, but Rachel was a big help when I did.

I was a member here for a long time and was very pleased with this place … especially, the fantastic gym.
The JCC has a little something for everyone: full size pool, great fields outside, classes for teaching, giant auditorium room for events and so much more.
The space is pristine, which may help because it was only built a little while ago. It’s so pretty to just walk through, whether it’s the giant windows, marble tiles or great space everywhere. It’s a big, big building and yet somehow feels very warm.
I was here for a few different events over the years I’ve lived in Cincinnati — first when I was a member and trying to get to know people and then later for things like the «Guys, Griddle and Grub» and «A Night With The Police Women of Cincinnati» (yes, from the show and yes, it was awesome.) Great space, sound was clear even though I was in the back of the room, perfect place to be at an event.
But of course what I was really for was the gym, which was awesome, Multiple rooms, tons of equipment, people there to help you out if you needed it, just amazing. Couldn’t have been happier with the giant space.
Membership is pretty expensive (it’s different for everyone depending on you’re looking for a family plan, single or other, but either way, it’s pricey.) And honestly, I was just using it for the gym and a few activities every now and again, so I quite because it wasn’t worth it for me. But if you’re someone who would take advantage of all it has to offer, I think it would be worth it.
I wish the staff had been a little friendlier while I was a member, especially in the beginning when I first joined. I always felt I looked lost and had to ask them for help instead of them coming to me. Not a big thing, but maybe keep an eye out for those a little intimidated at the start. It is a very big building after all.
Still, great space to do anything. If you have a chance to be at an event here or just want to check it out, I say do it.,

Joining the Mayerson JCC Fitness Center is one of the better decisions we made when moving to Cincinnati. After reviewing many other local options, this facility stood above the rest when it came to having some of our basic expectations (good equipment, indoor/​outdoor pool, good for kids, good classes).
The club is only a few years old. If you’re looking for a club that always has open equipment and friendly members, this is definitely the place.
If you have children, the JCC has a good size outdoor pool and a separate toddler pool. In addition, they have a heated indoor pool with a fun kids area that includes multiple slides.
A few areas where they need improvement:
1) Membership staff was not very friendly. They rushed through showing us the place, and did not place any follow up calls after our trial to see how everything was going. The lack of interest in adding a new member seemed very strange.
2) J Play (or child care) area needs some improvement with its staff. While the child care is typically fairly empty, the staff showed a lack of interest in playing with our daughter while she adjusted to the new surroundings. For an area that handles infants and toddlers, I would expect a more interested staff.

I feel like maybe I shouldn’t review this place and keep it a secret… Oh what the heck.
This is a great fitness center. They have an indoor and outdoor pool. The indoor pool has two water slides and a lazy river. The fitness center is state of the art, and they have a wide variety of exercise classes.
Yes, this is attached the Jewish Community Center, but the fitness center is open to the public.
As far as pricing goes, it is on the upper end of fitness centers, and is in the same price range as the Cincinnati Sports Club, however, unlike that facility, you actually get what you pay for.
