Specialties
Art Supplies:
New inventory is selected with the needs of area art students, local small businesses, and working and commercial artists like illustrators and tattoo artists in mind. We also devote a large section of the supply store to locally made materials and tools, including handmade willow charcoal, walnut ink, and sketchbooks.
Local music:
We carry a selection of CDs, tapes, and vinyl of all genres, as well as merchandise like posters, stickers, t-shirts, and more.
Workshops and events:
A diverse menu of workshops will be offered in topics ranging from screen printing to audio recording, and we will present monthly gallery openings every Final Friday.

Business Owner
Adam Petersen and Lindsay Nehls
We started working together as members of the artists’ group The Marburg Collective in 2009, with a mutual interest in creating spaces and curating events that provide avenues through which people feel inspired and encouraged to express themselves.
Building on our experience as event coordinators, curators, teachers, exhibiting and performing artists, and our respective college educations in music performance [CCM] and fine arts [DAAP], we are now ready to embrace Rock Paper Scissors as a brick-and-mortar home for our efforts.
Alisha Budkie
The space at 1301 Main Street was home to Smartfish Studio & Sustainable Supply, owned by Alisha Budkie. Since starting her own store two years ago, Alisha has been very active in the OTR community, including coordinating Second Sunday on Main. She will continue to be involved and present in Rock Paper Scissors while shifting her focus to her footwear business.
