As an out-of-towner, it took me a while to warm to Skyline. It’s chili, Jim, but not as we know it. Now it’s a tradition — we go there for lunch on the way to the airport before leaving for home. I always have the 4 way with onions and take about 90% of the cheese off and give it to my husband. What is it with all the cheese?! This is a great branch, friendly and welcoming and very quick. Last time we were there, it was super-good. Will return!

Love the chili– 3-way yum! Took off two stars because it is ridiculously cold. Server said only the manager could adjust the temp. Everyone eating either had a parka on or was shivering.

I visited Cincinnati in June this year. I always make a point to visit Skyline Chili every time I visit. I LOVE their chili. It has the feel, almost, of a sit down restaurant but it’s served as quickly as fast food. The grill/kitchen is in the center of the place so you can watch your food being prepared. I can’t wait to get Skyline again.

This is my favorite Skyline because everyone is so nice, warm and friendly! Good service, good food, good company! No stale crackers, or runny chili. Always good!

The chili is really watery. :-(I was very bummed. I love my Skyline chili and even had my 4way juicy. but all I got was water, noodles, and cheese. The staff there was awesome though and very quick.

This is not a review of the food, because obviously Skyline Chili is amazing. We placed a pickup order today(like we do every Sunday for Bengals games) and I was very upset with one thing I saw. There was an older man who was checking out and after he paid, he had asked the cashier if he could get a refill of his soda. The cashier responded in a very negative attitude with«um yeah, but you’re going to have to wait a while until I can get it». The man was obviously not happy, as he already waited in a long line just to pay for his bill. The man went to the other side cash register to try and get someone else to refill his soda and then the same cashier finally came, rolled his eyes, and took his cup and said«fine, I can refill it». He never apologized or anything. I am sure the cashier was stressed out because it was very busy, but that was no way to treat a customer. We personally have never had issues with this location, but this one incident made me very mad and thought I should share, in hopes of management encouraging increased customer service.

Skyline is a legend here in Cincinnati that I am almost afraid to review it. This one on Beechmont is the closest one to us and we typically take our out of town guests here so they can experience a 3 way and not feel embarrassed to talk about it. The location is pretty good size and is in the strip mall with a couple of other businesses so parking can be a little bit of a challenge depending on what day and time you go. It’s generally very clean and organized and the staff is always smiling. Ok now I hope that all native Cincinnatians will not hate me because the only thing I ever order at any skyline restaurants is chili cheese fries. The minute I get dirty looks is when I ask for light cheese, but my husband is happy to get the leftovers. Skyline chili is famous for having chocolate in it but the chocolate doesn’t really take over the flavor, it just makes it richer.

I think not being from Ohio. I probably do not understand the flavors of Skyline Chili. I eat fairly healthy so the image of the 3 way does not look appealing to me. but apparently Skyline Chili is a big thing so I just had to try it since I was visiting Ohio. So to my surprise, it is not overwhelming like I assume it would be. especially with the crazy amount of cheese. I actually thought it was quite good, but nothing for me to go crazy over… must be a California thing. lol. A-Ok!

This is my go-to spot with my little brother. The location is older than some and a re-model wouldnt hurt… But my complaints stop there! I love the service, food and quick food. I am hugh fan of the 3-way. They always serve me a great meal quickly at an affordable price.

I was informed that there are two groups of people; those who enjoy Skyline and those who just don’t get it. I am happy to announce I am of the former, and really liked this tasty chili with a secret ingredient= chocolate. I had a coney and a four way with chili, cheese, and onions over spaghetti. I was happy the spaghetti wasn’t overly cooked to death and loved the plethora of fresh shredded cheese that lay atop both dishes. The price and size was just right and we were in and out fairly quickly. I will definitely return to Skyline next time I am in the area.

I will admit that I’m more of a Gold Star Chili kinda guy but every once in a while I get this craving for Skyline… I don’t know why but there’s something that has me coming back for more. This location on Beechmont, between Five Mile and Salem is the oldest original operating Skyline location, having opened way back in 1962. Just like Gold Star, all I order here is chili. For starters, you are given a small bowl of oyster crackers and I always smother them in hot sauce. They’re amazing this way but I end up regretting it in the end, my mouth is always burning. For the main meal, I always get the chili cheese fries and two coneys with no onions. Rarely ever do I deviate from this, and when I do, I usually get the 3 way or 4 way with beans. Visit this location if you are in the vicinity of Beechmont… it isn’t the biggest, it isn’t as nice as some of the other Skyline restaurants, but the longevity makes up for all of that. I like Skyline, but I’m still a Gold Star guy at heart. Friday nights at the Gold Star in my hometown of Bethel after the high school football games are some nights that I’ll never forget. I shall return soon Skyline, there’s something in your chili that brings me back like a crack addict to the drug dealer.

They say«distance makes the heart grow fonder…» While that may not have held true to the long-distance relationship with my boyfriend(now an ex), it certainly sung true to about the connection I had with my 3-ways(at Skyline, don’t be pervy). Now that I live in North Carolina, so far away from my beloved pasta/chili/cheese dish, I realize just how much it means to me. The cheese coneys and 3-, 4-, and 5-ways are great at every Skyline, but the kind staff, excellent service and low-key atmosphere here are what makes this Skyline my favorite. Every time I am in town I make sure to stop by regularly enough that the servers remember my order–«Dr. Pepper and a regular 3-way?» Yes, please!

As a Cincinnati native now living in Philly, I miss Skyline dearly. As the oldest original Skyline still in operation this location is a great place to grab a couple of coneys and the Greek Salad. Although I love feta cheese there is always to much on the salad so be sure to ask for it on the side.

Skyline Chili is amazing, definitely one of the first stops when I’m in Cincinnati. From the classics(coneys and four-ways) to the less traditional(burritos and salads), this restaurant is the place to be for great food and good times. I’ve never had bad service at this particular location, and the order is always up asap. Don’t forget the hot sauce for the crackers!

This location is much more service oriented than the Cherry Grove one up the street and is one of my favorite Skyline locations. They are fast to feed you that delicious Skyline chili and send you on your merry way!
