My husband and I met with Johnny one weekend while we were in Boston for speed-​dating style appointments with potential wedding vendors. Johnny was the second of four photographers we were meeting with. After we were done, I told my then fiancé, now husband, that I did not want to waste time meeting with other photographers. Johnny was the one.
Johnny was great to work with from our initial email contact. Planning a wedding in a city other than the one you live in can be a challenge, but we never had a problem with Johnny. He was flexible on when and where we could meet, which helped tremendously with our tight schedule. This same flexibility and professionalism continued throughout the whole wedding process, all the way through making sure our album arrived and that we were pleased with it.
Johnny brought plenty of samples of his work with him to our meeting at Starbucks. As I looked through them, I caught myself getting teary. Image after image captured beautiful emotions. This was something we really wanted for our wedding, without having an in-​your-​face photographer. With Johnny, we got just that.
Our wedding images are stunning. Johnny captured everything big and small during our wedding day, without ever being in the way. We fully trusted Johnny to do what he does best, and couldn’t be happier with the end result.

I found Johnny during a visit to a bridal show (or should I say he found me). I was lucky enough to get an engagement shoot with him. I have never been photographed professionally before (aside from those atrocious school pictures), so I was really nervous about the whole thing. Johnny worked with me on finding a time that was convenient for both us and it worked out perfectly. He was very professional but laid back at the same time so it was easy for my fiancé and I to loosen up during the session. He gave great direction and knew exactly what he was doing and what he was looking for. I met up with him yesterday to check out my finished pictures, again, nervous about how they came out as I am not exactly a model. All I can say is «wow». I was so impressed on not only the fact that he got some good shots, but the artistic talent that shined through. He helped me decide which pictures would look better at different sizes and was very informative. I will recommend Johnny to anyone that is looking for a talented, easy-​going, fun to work with photographer.

We found Johnny by accident as I was looking for a photographer who could capture photos of my two young sons. Johnny was gracious enough to schedule the shoot at our home, on a day and time that was convenient. We couldn’t be more pleased with how the photos came out given the challenges of shooting a 2 year old and 9 month old. He was professional, polite, and quick and got great shots in about one hour. Am looking forward to using Johnny again for beautiful Christmas card photos this year. No more mall Santas for us!

My wife and I found out about Johnny from her roommate’s sister who hired him for her wedding in Boston. Her roomate found it remarkable that Johnny’s photographs captured the emotions and retold the story of the occasion, and yet she did not notice his presence during the wedding. My wife and I were looking for a photographer who could do this and also handle difficult lighting situations: our wedding site was the fifth floor of a social club looking west over the city skyline, and the time was sunset, so there would be a large amount of back lighting. With his experience with concert and art photography, Johnny seemed perfect for the job, and he was.
Johnny was professional, focused, and excited about taking great photographs without forcing too many poses. He was completely unobtrusive, yet captured every moment — including some truly special ones that we didn’t even realize he was there for — in a way that very naturally brought out all the emotions of our wedding day. He has a great eye both through the camera lens and also for album design. I have recommended him multiple times to friends and would happily do so again.
