Brought a portable generator in for a service. The guys were polite and professional. The work was done and generator ready in two days. Reasonable price. I will definitely go back.

Great service. We were greeted by Ryan and he answered all of our questions. Bought a Stihl blower. We were in and out in 5 min and he even took us outside and showed us how to use it.

Unfortunately, we purchased a lawn mower from CHTS Mower about 7 years ago and paid $ 400 more than the average mower thinking that it would not need repairs. Wrong!!! Then the repair service is terrible! This last repair lasted less than two weeks before it needed repair again. Then it takes almost two weeks JUST to get an estimate. Then you play phone tag because of there less than customer friendly hours. Then another two weeks before you get your lawn mower back. Wish I would have purchased it from Lowes, or Home Depot or Costco. Next time. Note: We just have a normal size front yard to mow… not 2 acres. And we are seniors so we are not mistreating our mower in case you are wondering. So… thinksmenot next time you drive by Citrus Heights Saw and Mower.

These guys were great! I have an ECHO hand held leaf blower and it was not starting I took it in and these guys replaced my entire carburetor which was under warranty so all I had to pay was $ 6 for a new air filter. I had a minor issue with it starting after the repair but I brought it back in and they adjusted the carburetor and within 10 minutes I was all set and my leaf blower works great. Thanks to Rich!

Okay, this has been a long time coming to write this review — a year. The fact that I think about CHS&M and the condition of my mower every time it is used. Great! It is still working strong. They fixed the mower pull and engine issue (smoking, etc.). I was advised it would take a few days — they fixed it in about a day. No it wasn’t a simple job either. They put forth excellent customer service. The initial wait at the counter when entering was a bit of time as they are very busy, however they will provide you the same customer service and address your needs with focus as the customer before you. Their prices are good. I will use them for my lawn care item repairs. To wait this long and still decide to write the review should say something besides procrastination… they impressed me enough to write the review.

Listen to these 1 star reviews! I thought, for sure, those reviews were one-​offs. I was wrong. It seems as though my experience was the exact same as theirs.
Long waited return.
I put in my work order to fix my lawnmower that wouldn’t start on 3-​25-​2015. I had called multiple times to check on the status of my lawnmower. On 5-​4-​2015 I finally got an update that it needs the carb cleaned, oil changed, and both cables replaced for the auto-​drive and motor. I gave the ok on 5-​5-​2015. Today, 5-​19-​2015, I decided to call for another update on my lawnmower. They say it is finally fixed and was done yesterday.
Customer service.
Very bad customer service. Brought my lawnmower and checked in with an estimate of a 2 week repair. It’s been 8 total weeks.
Communication.
Never met deadlines to get my lawnmower fixed. Never got an update for a longer finished date. Guys, if it’s done, shouldn’t you call the owner the same day the order is complete?
Save yourself time and a headache. This store is definitely consistent on getting bad reviews for a reason.

I have brought my Toro lawn mover in two or three times, when the «guaranteed to start» mower will not start. Fair enough, I’ve left it sitting in the winter months for 3 months and by then I’ve left it too long without starting. Each time, this shop told me they needed to «rebuild the carburator» and charged me over $ 60. Now, it won’t start again. A friend of mine was over, and he opened the air filter cover, which looked like it had never been changed since day one, which surprised me. You’d think «rebuilding the carb» would involve changing the air filter. We went and got some «quick start» at an auto parts store for $ 5 and an air filter at Home Depot for $ 7. Sprayed a couple of shots into the uncovered intake (sans air filter) and it fired right up, and kept running and starting for the next couple of days until now. I can go out right now and fire it up, and it didn’t take over $ 60. You’d think if Citrus Heights mower was honest they would just tell me to get some quick start instead of spending $ 65 each time, but no, they want the money and took my lack of knowledge as a «sucker» sign on my forehead. By the way, the quick start spray only needed to be applied once, then just put the filter back in and you are done! If the fuel is older, you can add some fuel stabilizer (2 oz. to a tank) Thank God for my friend!

I have brought my chainsaw in 4 times in the past several months, and spent over $ 180 in repairs. Each time I get it home it’s not running and I have to bring it back, and they keep charging more each time. They do not stand behind their work. By now I could have bought a brand new saw.

They have the best customer service, and knowledge! They have been very easy to work with and super accommodating with all my needs and highly recommend them for anything dealing with lawn tools!

I took our walk behind Snapper mower into the shop because it had been running poorly. The turn-​around was not as quick as I would have liked, but it was extremely busy when we dropped it off and again when we picked it up, so it’s ok. We got a call from Ken 10 days later. He said it was ready to pick up. He had found the primary issue, but decided to give it their routine service overhaul… oil, air filter, new spark plug, sharpened the blades, and freed up a part that had rusted and wouldn’t move. Also replaced a knob. All at a price I thought was low. I mowed when I got home and it was like a new mower. I am an older female, so really appreciate a smooth running mower. Thank you so much. I will definitely recommend you folks!

After mowing ½ of our lawn, my son comes to me with the pull cord in his hands. I found the fix online. After cutting my hand to ribbons and ruining the spring I stop at Citrus Saw and Mower. Not only does the tech find me the part, he changes it out for me in minutes. Thanks for saving me further injury and frustration.

I have a great experience with every employee I dealt with from my first call til the time I picked up my lawn mower. My mower is now running like brand new again and I am grateful for that.

Knowledge is everything in this business. Great customer service is key to a successful business. This place has both and I prefer to shop somewhere that knows what the are talking about like Citrus Heights Mower. I walked in looking for a chain for my chainsaw. After talking to me about what I was doing they knew exactly what I wanted. They also put the chain on for me. I will be back. Thanks CH.

I recently bought a chainsaw (Stihl MS 170) from a guy, who knew exactly what I needed after he asked me a few questions. I used this incredible chainsaw for a few days. Then it got to a point I needed to adjust the chain as normal. I don’t know what I did, but I did something that dulled the chain too. When I told it back I also expressed to the owner that I was also given the wrong tool for the saw. He immediately took the saw back and within minutes it was all cleaned up and he sharpened the chain. After he put it back together he handed me the correct tool for it and told me it would work perfectly again. No charge and he was very pleasant with his service. I will go back for more tools in the future. Very happy consumer. Thanks!

These folks kept my late-70’s vintage Toro mower running for decades, even fabricating a part for it that Toro no longer made. They’ve always been friendly and fair, but somehow I never thought to write a review on them. Well, no more. A couple of years ago, with the Toro starting to smoke in its old age, I bought a cheap Ryobi mower from Costco… big mistake. You really do get what you pay for, and this thing’s a piece of junk. Anyway, at the beginning of this mowing season, it wouldn’t start. I took it to CHSM and they did their usual magic… got it purring like a kitten. Then, after a couple of weeks, it started acting up again. I took it back. CHSM went through it with a fine tooth comb, got it running, no charge. Another couple of weeks. same damned thing. Back to CHSM. This time they kept it for a month, boiled out this, rebuilt that, got it running again, and again… no charge. But THIS time, they felt so bad about the hassle I’d had with the damned thing that they insisted on giving me a full refund… and I mean insisted! At first, I said «No» because of all the hours and effort they’d put into it. They insisted. «OK», I said, «I’ll split it with you». No. They wouldn’t even take half. Refunded me every nickel I’d given them, and I find that extraordinary. Truly, as good as it gets. Thanks, CHSM.

Citrus Heights Saw & Mower is another retail store that just does not get it!
After four trips at my expense (gas and time) to get a fuel line (special order for my old Honda mower) the quoted price of $ 5 was now $ 20!
The price of the ¼″ x 9″ fuel line, although steep, is not really what bothers me. It’s the lack of integrity and the total indifference by the employees (usually starts with the owner and trickels down).
The cost of that fuel line to them was probably around $ 9 or $ 10. So it would have cost them $ 4 or $ 5 to honor their quote! I had many times that amount in time and gas because of their mistakes!
Imagine what would happen if they screwed up something expensive! Think they would own up to it? GOOD LUCK!!!
The only reason for repairing this old mower was to give it to my daughter who just moved into her first place with a lawn. I’m going to give up on repairing it and just buy a new Honda mower (also trimmer, hedger and other needed items) at another dealer.
I’m just another consumer voting with his wallet !!!

Ok well I have to say that this is not my area of expertise my hubby usually handles these things but when he felt the need to pull the ripcord out of the lawnmower we had to get professionals involved. My last mower repair shop experience was less than satisfactory and I was ready and willing to try someplace new. Found these guys online they are close to my neighborhood and they didnt charge me and arm and a leg for a tune up, blade sharpening, new ripcord and new carborator… all that for 125. out the door… Only took 2 weeks for me to get my mower back and my mower looks good as new all nice and clean you can tell they take pride in the servicing of the equipment however… I have a thing about being disorganized, please have your s*&% together when you are running a business. I dont mind waiting but when you are clearly discussing the fact that your co workers are stupid in front of customers I really have to ask myself wtf??? My husband was called at about 12:30 in the afternoon. We arrived around 3:30. Got up to the counter my husband gave them his name they attempted to look up the mower but could not find anything in their system so he looks at my husband like he is retarded and says «did someone call you?» cuz its not in the computer. My hubby proceeds to pull out his cell phone look thru his call history and says «yeah at about 12:38 I got a call saying my mower was ready.»…so the hunt begins. Employee 1 find another employee and asks him if he entered those tags… employee 2 says no i gave them to so and so… so employee 1 go and finds so and so and he says I gave them back to employee 2 so employee 1 goes to employee 2 and says so and so says he gave them back to you… employee 2 says oh yeah I left those on the desk… and sure enough there is my tag in a pile on a counter for whatever to happen with it… oh but the story gets better because alfter all of that I pay for the mower, my hubby pushes the mower out the door and all of a sudden a totally different employee runs out the store chasing my hubby yelling at him hey is that your mower??? my hubby has a reciept in his hand and a look of total bewilderment on his face… but other than these hassles we got the mower back and it works… quick add on the lawnmower runs like a champ! I think it could take a tree down Im still a little miffed about the lacking customer service and being accused of stealing my own lawnmower but they did do an excellent job of bringing my lawnmower back from the dead…

It isn’t enough to have the right power tools, you also have to maintain them. And Citrus Heights Saw And Mower is the place to go for that. Good service and prices.
However, they are very slow – you will not get your lawnmower blade sharpened while you wait, you have to leave the mower there a few days, and in fact, usually you have to wait a while to get any customer service when you walk in. But that is because they have many customers drawn in by the reasonable prices and good service.
You can also buy new mowers, rototillers, chainsaws, and other power equipment.
