Culbertson Heating & Air

Well, they did it again! This is a perfect Father & Son business. Three years ago ‘Dad’ repaired my AC to perfection. This week my AC started leaking water, of course I called Culbertson’s again!

I have looked up Culbertson Heating and Air on the CSLB (Contractors State Licensing Board) website and they DO have a valid contractors license, issued 2÷11÷05, expires 2÷28÷15. Please be thorough in choosing a contractor, including checking into the facts before posting negative comments on a review site.

Strangely, this Culbertson has no business signage printed on his white truck nor does he seem to have a business website. This makes me a bit leery. My landlord had him over this morning.
On-​line research has revealed his contractor’s license has been expired since 2005. Maybe he cannot legally advertise on his vehicle or maintain an official website because of this. I also gather from some source he might not be legally able to charge more than $ 500 for a single transaction to a customer and that may be good.
On a positive note, he quoted a price for a bad control circuit board on my landlord’s central air system for about $ 170 cheaper than a local competitor. That has yet to be seen. We will see how well he does after the part comes in and I may upgrade his rating.
He is an older man and hard of hearing.

I can’t say enough or praise enough. Like one of the prior reviews given, I would give them ten stars if I could. I have used Culbertson Heating & Air many times over the past three years since I purchased my 4/​Plex Multi-​family in June 2009. Their work is excellent. Their prices are very good. They show up on time, and respond well in emergencies (like when it’s freezing outside or 110 degrees and the air is out). I love these two guys (father and son team), and would like to say you can’t go wrong choosing this company to do your work.

Another great job by Gary. Was desperate on a mid-​June weekend heading into a 100 degree week and Gary came riding in on his white horse (OK, its a van) to save the day. He trouble shot the problem, repaired it, and didn’t charge a weekend premium. Let’s just say experience is his middle name.

Well, Mr. Culbertson came through again! This time, it was our stupid heater. He was at our house within 1 hour of our call and had it fixed in a jiffy!
