So found this place on Unilocal and after going through so many hid kits from ebay I gave up on cheap stuff and thought I’d go with a professional and I’m glad I did. So the owners name is Bob all I have to say is he does great work and doesn’t take any short cuts. Will be brining in a couple more cars to get hids installed

Just got new HID lights installed with Joanne and Bob. Wonderful couple and owners of this auto shop. Their specialize in auto lighting and tinting and take a lot of pride in what they do. In their shop, there were tons of trophies up for display. I’m thankful to Joanne for talking and educating me through what the difference is in the lights they offer and majority of other HID lights at other places. An extra plus for how Joanne never tried to up-​sell anything to me. There was no pressure at all.
I totally see the difference after my new lights were installed. I actually already had HID lights prior to visiting them, but they were very dim. I just feel like they weren’t very high quality. And I was right. Now I can see bright and clear!

Bought a new car and I loved it! But I know there’s a little things that needs to be done in order to look more awesome.
So I ask one of my friend and he recommend EVOLUTION.
Went there and meet Bob (and his wife). Very very nice people!
I told him what I want and what I need.
I got an awesome response. Bob told me «We can do whatever you want». But the cool thing is… He will listen to you and he will make a suggestion!
We come up to an understanding. To make long story short.
I made him install my HID lights, tint my window then he did what I really want for my side turn light (colored it smoke black) and install what he recommend with my day/​signal lights.
I couldn’t be more satisfied and happy how he did change how my car looks.
Before leaving his shop, he suggest some stuff if I wanted. And once I got enough money. I will definitely take my car and my wife’s car back for an upgrade!!!

Excellent customer service. Bob is very knowledgeable on the products he installs. I am very happy with the HID upgrade on my car. I will definitely be returning to get more work done.
Update***** had an issue about a year after with one of the ballast on the HID light. It was fixed immediately, great customer service…
On a separate note my mom bought a new Lincoln, had another shop do the tint, they did the worst job. They said due to the matrix dots on the rear window nothing could be done about the bubbles.
I suggested my mom take the car to Bob and after he made some suggestion she agreed to have him redo the tint. She was more than satisfied with the results.

I had HID’s installed back in 2014, had a small issue with one of the lights recently, Bob took a look at it and fixed very quickly. Highly recommend for any car equipment installation!

Bob and his wife are very helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to what i want with my car. I got some HID lights and a backup camera for my car and everything came out great. Bob is the only i trust when it comes to installation and parts.

I took my Integra here to get some HID headlights installed. I was in and out within 30 minutes! Great work and reasonable price with Evolution. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Bob the owner knows his stuff! My boyfriend went here to have his headlights done. He’s been complaining about his «yellow» headlights for a year now until coming here. We were completely educated on lighting, tint, and the laws surrounding it. The end result was amazing! The lights matched his «DRL» and the color of his car. He was beyond amazed… and ended up talking to Bob for over an hour about everything car related. All in all, we would definitely recommend his business to anyone looking for tint/​lighting installation. He is a professional and obviously loves what he does. The process was a bit pricey but well worth it. Plus he warranties his product! We’ll be back in the near future for fog light work.

Had front windshield tint and under dash lights installed on my 2015 dodge 2500 and they did a wonderful job! The owner and his wife where very nice and gave me a reasonable price. Thank you!

I was looking for a place to install my aftermarket HID Lights I purchased on Amazon. I called Evolution and scheduled an appointment. Upon arrival I was greeted immediately by a woman she was very sweet. I took her to my car to show her what I wanted installed, immediately she warned me about the products I was using, while she was demeaning she explained that the lighting quality was bad in there experience. She then introduced me to Bob the owner, he immediately began to education me on quality – not at any moment did he attempt to sell me anything – telling me the difference so I could achieve the best quality for my money.
After being thoroughly educated – I am a bit of a lighting pro – I understand more than most, but still found myself enamored at the amount of things I wasn’t privy to. I decided to purchase the kit he recommended based on several qualities, lighting focus point (lumens), lighting color, bulb quality, ceramic plating around the bulb which reduces burnouts, and the ballast which had dual function a/​c currents which stop flickering, and the burn is brighter.
Install took about two hours, he removed my old system, installed my new system and we added some badges to my Genesis, the finished product was simply breathtaking. I mean this was quality, I didn’t a walk around and took a peak under the hood, the ballast were tucked away from exposure and in an area the reduced its exposure to elements. The install was clean, everything was put back to maintain that OEM look and quality!
This place deserves its rating, I recommend going here even if you don’t plan on buying here, but in the market for lights, Bob will educate you on the HID system and help you get the best build for your vehicle. I will definitely return for future lighting projects!!! Love this place!

Went in for a HID conversion on the 2013 Genesis R-​Spec. Called and spoke with Bob. Made an appointment for the next day. Showed up… they took the car around back and completed the work in a bit less than an hour. Added in some LED bulbs in all four doors… looks amazing all the way around.

I’ve been a customer since 1994 and every time I need a spruce up on any of my vehicles, Bob and his Wife Joann are always there on the for front of offering something new. With all of it being fresh and current in the aftermarket scene with the outmost highest quality in mind at a very friendly price. I like these guys if its not quality that they cant warranty they wont touch it. PERIOD! Thanks once again for your expert care and knowledge.

This is the best alarm, lighting, window tint, and accessory shop in sacramento! I have been a customer here for over 10 years!
Bob and Joann own the shop and they are experts and what they do! From excellent window tint, HID conversion, LED lights, water color for the interior, and the best alarm system made by compustar. Evolution has won several awards from car shows and they have the proof with the trophies in the waiting room. Also, there are great pictures of cars they have worked on, especially from some of the old Sacramento kings such as Jason Williams, Hedo Turkoglou, and Lawrence Funderburk.
The garage can only hold 2 cars because there are only 2 of them working. There is a nice waiting room and it has wifi and it always has good music playing!
Bob is the most creative guy I know who can make nothing into something. His ideas are genius. He installed a pair of DRL’s (daytime running light) on my ford expedition and at first he wasn’t sure if they would fit right but he examined and somehow made it fit perfectly!!!
Another example is he installed a similar pair of DRL’s on my lady’s Toyota rav4 and one of the lights brackets broke due to a rock when she was driving on the highway. I called bob and he took the liberty of replacing it! He kindly took the bumper off, fixed the bracket and installed a new pair of DRL’s on!
Joann takes care of the window tint and she does it so careful and clean! She tinted my 02 accord 35 percent all around and it still looks like new today!
Customers are very important to evolution! If you want to make an appointment you need to call in! If you have a simple question or need advice you can drop by and ask! With only 2 workers, they can get slammed often so make sure you know your availability… And if you are having your vehicle worked on, prepare for it being there for a while because other cars may be worked on as well, plus they have to answer phones and help customers if they drop by!
At the end, your car will look great and taken care of! I highly recommend evolution if you need window tint, alarm system, and lighting!!!

I was given very informative and honest information regarding my choices of replacement bulbs. Bob, the owner, went above and beyond to insert both HID and LED bulbs so I could compare my options. Not only installing the LEDS but also assisting me with a totally unrelated issue I had with my car!!! Service so excellent, I decided to have interior and parking lights replaced. Will probably even be back this weekend to have other work completed.

I have brought both of my Maxima’s (the first one was totaled) here for exterior and interior lighting work, along with window tinting. Both times I was completely satisfied with the customer service and the quality of their products.
Evolution uses LLumar window tint, which is one of the best quality films out there. Even though they are a little pricey ($ 340 for 5 windows), they do a great job of cutting the tint to perfectly fit your vehicle’s windows. In the past I have gone to cheaper tint shops, and have had to deal with bubbling or peeling window film. You definitely get what you pay for!
Evolution also sells and installs interior and exterior lighting. They use HiLEDs (high quality LED bulbs that can’t be found online). Sites such as SuperBright LEDS and VLEDS sell lower quality LEDS that have very short lifespans. I recently had Bob (the shop’s owner) install a custom LED setup as a replacement to my factory fog lights. Bob not only installed the bulbs, but wired them using a relay so that they would function as Daytime Running Lights (they turn off once the low beams are activated).
I highly recommend this shop! Oh yeah… a couple of Kings players have brought their cars here in the past… :)

I was calling around for a shop to install a HID system I was planning to order online and happen to call Evolution and spoke with Bob (the shop owner). Over the phone, he told me about new LED bulbs that is just as good as HID system and supposedly more reliable as well. The phone conversation I had with him convinced me he knew what he was talking about. He wasn’t just trying to sell me but explaining to me.
I was able to bring my car on the same day and he installed the system in no time. While he was installing, he brought me to the shop in the back to show me the difference between my existing light and the new LED lights. As he mentioned, the LED light look lot better and brighter.
I was so impressed, I told him to swap out my fog lights bulb with LEDs too. He was changing out the fog lights bulb when his assistant noted that one of the fog light was loose from the bumper (some body damage). Bob took extra time and effort to fix the loose fog light from bumper which had nothing to do with the LED bulb install. All at no charge !!
After, the bulbs were installed we noticed that one of the bulb was kind of dimming. Bob knew what the problem was and was going to fix it but he did not have an extra LED bulb to fix the situation. He said no problem, he put in a temporary fix and told me he would install the new LED when his new shipment comes in few days.
Even after he finished the work, he was educating me on the details of cheap and good HID systems. He seem to really know his stuff and enjoys the work. Really nice guy and down to earth.
He does window tint too and alarms and other things.
If you need this type of work check him out, I highly recommend it.

We have now had at least 4 if not 5 cars tinted by Evolution over the past 10 years. they have been WONDERFUL to work with — always doing a very detailed tint job and we’ve never had any issues with the tint (that being said we don’t usually keep our cars longer than 3 years so…).
The prices have increased over the years slightly but my understanding is the tint has gotten better in quality as well so it make sense.
I’ve always called to make reservations for tint last minute (usually when I’m at the dealership) and they’ve always accomodated me — these guys are very out of the way for where I live but it’s MORE than worth it!

Over a decade of fantastic craftsmanship! That’s what we say, when we think of, «Evolution!» Their name has changed over the years, but so has our ride!
We have always brought all of our cars here and they have always given us a fair and decent quote. The lady who does all the car tinting has always done a phenomenal job, no complaints. No complaints especially from a hubby who is downright nit-​picky about his rides! We’ve also had them install car alarms back in the 90’s.
Words can’t describe the stellar job the tint lady does. She is down right meticulous and is an expert in her trade. We have made the mistake of taking one of our cars to another tint place and wish we hadn’t!
We have always trusted Evolution with all of our cars and wouldn’t take our business anywhere else.
