_​okay where should I start with this lawyer… I’m not sure if it’s just me but it seems to be that some of his clients must have a case that he doesn’t want to deal with or it just won’t make them enough money and isn’t worth the hassle. the people that have left 5 Star reviews must have had a case it was an automatic winner and he did everything he could to make sure they were taking care of do to him not having to do much investigating. I was hit by vehicle and how to catch 7 buses and Light Rail to make it to his office. When I made it to his office I maybe talk to him for ten minutes tops. He told me that I needed a police report my medical records excetera excetera which I brought to him the day I had today go see him. he told me if I don’t hear
from him in two weeks give him a call. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and actually waited 3 weeks for him to call which I never got a call. I called him maybe 20-​something times left over 10 messages and finally got a very short email saying you would call me the next day which never happened. I’m getting so frustrated. when I blow up his phone well the office phone I should say someone finally answers on the 20^th call. not that it does any good because all they tell me is that an attorney will get back to me by the end of the day which never happens. I suggest anybody with a case is not an automatic winner to seek a different lawyer. I guess that’s what I get for calling 916−444−4444 for all legal help LOL

As a member of Hyatt Legal Plan I contacted Peter who was listed as an attorney for document review. Peter was the second attorney in the Hyatt Legal Plan that I contacted because sadly the first attorney I contacted did not return my call even after I waited four days. I heard back from Peter within an hour of calling his office. I call that excellent response time. Not only did Peter review the document and respond within an hour of emailing my document to him but he also went above and beyond by sending me several links related to the topic. The turn around time for the entire process was less than two hours. Peter was expeditious, pleasant, professional, and efficient.

I found Peter through my employer’s hyatt legal plan. Peter is professional and easy to work with. He always provides pros and cons with all things considered, followed by a suggestion. He is good at what he does. Very importantly, he responses quickly. We consult him with all kinds of legal matters and we are pleased with his excellent advice and services. We are currently following his strategy on a traffic matter, and it is working well.

The least professional interaction I’ve ever had with any law firm. Couldn’t even bother to tell me they were too busy to do anything for me. Then they fired me as a client weeks later.
Details:
Asked for 15 minutes on the phone to discuss the case after signing the engagement letter. No response. Called to leave a voicemail. Their voicemail system is down (and stayed that way for several days).
I keep trying to reach someone to get on the phone with me. 3 weeks, several voicemails, and countless e-​mails later, they finally tell me I need to go find another lawyer. They never did anything that I asked for (they did draft a demand letter, but never sent it).
Word of advice for these guys: maybe you should have some slack in your case load so you don’t end up stringing people along for several weeks. And even if you’re completely slammed, how hard is it, really, to shoot an e-​mail that says ‘sorry too busy right now call you in a week’?

Was referred to Peter by our company’s legal plan program. Had to leave three messages across a few days until he finally got back to me. He discussed the process over the phone with me for 30 mins, and then never followed up with emailing me the materials, etc.
Read the other reviews also, you’ll see this is a recurring theme. And if you think «it’s okay as long as I can get him» — you’re WRONG. My opinion is that an attorney that doesn’t have time for new clients, probably doesn’t invest enough time in existing ones.

Found Peter’s law firm via Hyatt Legal Plan. His response was very quick. I had a discussion with him over a call on different queries and he was able to clarify all of them and even provide suggestions on whether specific actions were needed and the consequence of those actions. From my point, he is one of the lawyers who will not just jump into anything without analysing all possible outcomes.

Very professional attorney and easy to work with. When I first met him after couple of e-​mail exchanges, he already was fully aware of the case and did a significant amount of analysis beforehand. During the discussion, he was very clear and straightforward. But what really impressed me is that (as opposed to other attorneys who are pain to get any updates from or get them to return your call), Mr. Stone always took the initiative and sent updates without me even inquiring. This by itself worth 5-​stars.

Hi, I contacted Peter through my employer’s legal plan Metlife (also known as Hyatt). Peter established the framework for a living trust and last will for me and my wife and he was very responsive to my emails and even paid me a visit to finish off the paperwork! I’m very happy with his work and look forward to working with him sometime in the future.
By the way, if your employer offers a legal plan, join it — it’s a good deal and will save you tons.

Peter is a caring lawyer. You don’t see that too often. He genuinely has empathy for his clients.

These people are completely unprofessional. Peter’s secretary has no idea what she is doing. I’ve called so many times asking to speak to Peter and every time she says he is busy and we’ll call me back. Guess what he never calls back. The only reason I haven’t found a new attorney is because we are at the ending point of my case. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! They do not respond to inquiries and take there time! I’ve been fighting my case for 23 months already and the deadline is 24. Waste of my time and money! I would give this place zero stars!

Peter Stone has been an invaluable resource and attorney for me! He is always available and extremely responsive. Although I have never met him in person, he has been able to provide his services in a professional and timely manner which exceeded my expectations. As a private investigator I’ve worked with Mr. Stone on several of his cases over the years. He has always asked me to locate the information that would most benefit his client. On his personal injury cases where he is paying me, not the client, he says money is no object because he wants to win their case for them. Of the 20 or so attorneys I do work for he has always been one of the best because he cares about his reputation and wants to get the best for his clients.

I found Peter Stone thru Hyatt Legal. He was the 3^rd attorney I tried and I finally found a winner.
He is EXTREMELY responsive & timely. He has good ideas and he is also able to tell me when he is not right for the job. I don’t have that many legal concerns, but being able to call on an attorney for advice (since it’s fully covered by my plan) gives me peace of mind.
I read the other review and wonder if we’re talking about the same person. The Peter Stone I’ve worked with several times over the last two years is fantastic! Also, I have talked with the people at Hyatt and they told me they refer to him and they’ve never heard a complaint. People may not always compliment, but they’ll complain if there’s a problem.
Lastly, in one instance, I was able to pay for the legal service for 3 years. Big Corporation vs. little me and we WON. I am NOT litigious, but neither am I a doormat. Peter helped me and I’m a grateful and regular client.

Stay Away! If I could give him 0 stars I would! I’ve never had to say that in a Unilocal review before.
Found Peter Stone through my legal insurance to do a simple will. He would not write my will as I wanted– I had to request clauses I didn’t agree with to be removed x3, these clauses included my husband & agreeing to medical decisions at the end of our lives that we were not comfortable with (removal of life support etc). After the third request he said he would not be responsible if my will was not valid due to the parts I want removed. I’m sorry but that’s your job– to make sure I’m protected, that’s why I hired a lawyer instead of googling forms for a will on the internet and signing a form document.
BTW the will he had for us was a giant prefabricated form he was unwilling to alter. Easy money for him but soooo bad for the client.
Should I also mention he misspelled my husband’s name throughout the document (Benjamin is not spelled Benjamim) this indicated to me that they simply used a find and replace to change the name (inaccurately through the entire document).
He also insisted we need to change our bank accounts to to be named «the _​_​_​_​family trust» .
If you want a lawyer who care about you and not just the money he will receive from working with you don’t hire this guy.
