Wow… Very nice folks and very professional… I would recommend to anyone who need data recovery… They recovered my all my photos from a camping trip and more from a deleted SD card… They communicated very well with the process and how long it would take and where they were during the recovery period… They were willing to come to my house to pick up my SD card… They are very prompt with timing also…

It’s not «if» your hard drive will fail, it’s a matter of «when».
I do back up my data but not as often as I should, particularly if you’re a small business like me. I simply had too much valuable information on my computer that had not been saved and on my 2^nd attempt with another company, River City Data Recovery did in fact pull 100% of all my files, over 130 GB worth off 2 supposedly dead drives. Not as fast as pizza delivery but by day 3 they delivered to my door all the data on a new portable 500gb external drive. I must say, very satisfied with the service and at a reasonable price.

My 8 year old Sony Viao desktop was displaying «No bootable device found — insert boot disk then hit any key.» which means your operating system is corrupted, the hard drive has failed or both. I called Geek Squad and was told it would cost $ 49 to diagnose then they could quote a price, generally from $ 149 to $ 1,500 and then expect a 6 to 10 business day turnaround. I don’t think so…
Second call was to a local Citrus Heights computer diagnostic and repair service «Tech-​Boy». They arrived later the same day I requested service, even arrived 45 minutes early only to be told «Both HDD hard drives are «not retrievable». The tech did spend nearly an hour trying to upload the data on my wife’s laptop then finally onto my back up, another similar Sony desktop. After deciding to rap things up, I cut him a check for $ 133.00. About 30 minutes later I went back into the office to fire up my other Sony computer only to discover it too was displaying «No bootable device found.etc.». How ironic?
In a way I’m glad this happened. I was way overdue for a new computer. I wound up with a Dell XPS 8700 loaded with Windows 7 Professional from amazon. So far everything’s going smoothly with only a few more programs to install.
