It’s a disgusting place overall. Gross, stale atmosphere and food to match. Way too overpriced for their quality. Avoid.

How hard is it to get an order right. Something as simple as a cheeseburger, and that gets messed up. Specially when you repeat the order to them to make sure they get it right. Seemed more concerned with letting me know that it would be extra, so you’d think they would get it right.

Upon a recent visit, we found the chocolate«pudding» in the pie to be much more chocolatey! Big improvement. I added another star for this reason.

As always the Service and Food are Great at Marie Callender’s in City of Industry. I had to write another review to say to all the staff Thank You for the Great Food and exceptionally great service. Ubaldo the manager and Melissa are always on top of things making sure everything is done right and on time. Aside from the waiters both Ubaldo and Melissa always check on me as well as other patrons to make sure everything is taken care of. Now that to me is A-1 Service. I love the breakfast and the variety is very extensive. What other place can you have breakfast and a huge assortment of desserts! Thank You Mary Callender’s Staff For the 10 Star Service!!! Adam

First of all, I usually don’t comment on Unilocal but I feel very strongly about my experience today. It is very sad that the majority of the Marie Callender’s have really gone downhill. Today I went with a group of friends to this location & was very disappointed. The service was good so I am not complaining about that. I ordered the burger special which was a good deal. I only ate a portion of the hamburger as it tasted like fish and I DONOT like fish! I suspect that the hamburger meat was cooked next to fish or the grill was not cleaned properly before cooking my hamburger patty. As part of the meal I ordered a piece of Banana Cream Pie, my favorite pie! Again, I was disappointed. There was no flavor and it seemed old. What has happened to Marie Callender’s??? The restaurant cleanliness is also an issue. As we were leaving, I stopped to use the restroom(not recommended!) The carpeting in the hallway looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since 1980& then I walked into the restroom & the stench was overwhelming!!! It smelled like an extremely dirty mop!!! I had to hold my breath until I could quickly get out & also tried not to touch anything. I would expect this at a gas station but not at an eating establishment!!! I have been to this Marie Callender’s over the past 35 years & have watched it go slowly downhill. Today it was the worse & this is not the only one I have been disappointed in! MARIECALLENDER’S, YOUNEEDTOWAKEUP!!! Major renovations are needed!!! I sincerely hope the owner of this restaurant reads this as I’ve always considered Marie Callender’s one of my favorite places to eat.

GREATFOOD, BIGFOODPORTIONS, GREATPRICE, &GREATPIES!!! My uncle and I have gone to Marie Calendar’s frequently in the City of Industry over the last couple years. I really appreciate the customer service along with the comfy homestyle feel and dining experience. Melissa’s waitressing service at Marie Calendar’s seems to be on top of every detail from beginning to end. Great Breakfast and Dinning Experience. Really a great place to eat because of the following: –Great variety in food selection –Tastes like homemade food with the look of a commercial presentation –Personal Favorite: Avocado Shrimp Stack –MUSTTRYTHEIRBANANACREAMPIE, IT’S TODIEFOR!

The server here was in a rush to pick up my plate! I couldn’t enjoy my meal and conversation cause he kept walking by every minute. I wish I could take my tip back. He was so rude. Boo for the service.

This is our favorite Marie Callender restaurant. Food is consistent and service is friendly. We usually get one of the meals that comes with a pie. Tonight hubby got their chicken pot pie with salad while I feasted on their mushroom swiss burger. We each had water to drink and took home our pie. Best part was the price… our total bill came out to less than $ 22! Not bad for an easy weeknight dinner.

Visited as a guest in one of the banquet rooms. I ordered the chicken, we arrived late & they happily took our order. Guests of about 60 people & plates were coming out in batches. I settled on a salmon plate because it was taking a long time & things seemed to be confused. I didn’t mind, the salmon was good. The lemon meringue pie was.awesome.

The greeters were ultra nice. We were sat very quickly. We sat in the corner by the fireplace and it smelled like suffer or sewer water. The food was average. The service was average. The cleanliness was average. The environment was elderly. I probably wouldn’t recommend this place to a young crowd but for a senior it’s perfect.

Haven’t been to this location in years, surprisingly, very good breakfast. Eggs and potatoes done just right, nice to have cornbread for a change. It was cleaner then I remember. The service was good. I would return, Hacienda Heights needs a nice breakfast diner for basic good eggs and potatoes coffee and good service!

Food: dine in 3.5 stars, to go turkey feast 4⁄5 stars It’s definitely better than Denny’s and the like. Food is fresh and delicious but it can be a bit overly salty for the fine in options. So definitely ask them for low sodium options if they have it. The to go holiday turkey/ham package was better than expected. It was moist, and very flavorful upon pickup. It made me hungry smelling it in the car. Of course the food was a bit soggy 6 hours later but it was more than acceptable. Good job overall. Atmosphere: 4⁄5 stars It’s large and comfortable. It also have separate banquet room if you need for private party. Service: 4⁄5 stars Service was very good overall. They’re very organized especially for the holidays take out portion. Expense: 3.5÷5 stars The $ 89 turkey feast can easily feed 5 people with left over. Return: 3.5 stars Whenever I don’t want to cook for the holiday this is a great option to feed the family.

Stay away from the salad bar unless you like rotting mixed greens. I frequent this Marie Calendars for breakfast which is great for the price and quantity. So thumbs up for the breakfast but thumbs down for the salad bar. I also enjoyed the service from the waitresses. They were very nice and attentive. This late morning I decided to try out there salad bar because I figured it hasn’t been man handled by a bunch of customers yet. They had this great chunky zucchini, yellow squash and carrot soup that I would recommend. As I proceeded to the mixed greens, I noticed a handful of them were slimy and black. I spoke to the manager and advised her that she might want to change it out or at least just remove the rotting ones. She looked at the bowl of lettuces and stirred it in with the tongs. She said they all come in bags and are slimy like that. I seriously thought the manager would have handed it better, like take the bowl to the back and pick out the bad ones or lie and say you’ll have it changed out. Bottom-line, I understand there are going to be a few pieces that may have gone bad, but there was a large amount of it where its very noticeable.

Please be aware, this has nothing to do with their service. We were served kindly and professionally. My review is solely on the Banana Cream Pie and the Chocolate Cream Pie. Banana Cream Pie: Tastes too sweet. The pudding is loaded with sugar. The banana at times would taste bitter. Not the level of quality I am used too Chocolate Cream Pie: My Hubby got this one because he was looking forward to pie for his cheat day(where he can eat whatever he wants). Unfortunately, he too was disappointed. He said the cream had a jello like substance. The crust seemed different than before(the color and taste looked undercooked). Again, loaded with sugar. There’s no need to change a winning formula.

We had my Mom’s 60th birthday party here on a Sunday in the banquet room. Everything was absolutely wonderful. We chose the plated lunch option. Guests chose one of 3 entrees. We offered lemon pepper salmon with rice and vegetables, beef dip sandwich and fries, or the traditional chicken pot pie. All meals were fairly good. Came with cornbread and butter for the table and a slice of pie for dessert. Sodas, ice tea, and coffee included. Service was fast and friendly. This Iocation allows use of the room for 3 hours at NO charge! Only $ 25 extra for linens. You can set up and decorate however you want. Bring in your own cake, music, whatever your imagination can come up with. Affordable without compromising excellence! Thanks Marie Callender’s City of Industry!

I am so happy I decided to give another try for their food!!! Last time I came here, I tried their non pie dish which was salad and had unfortunately not so great experience. General manager of MC responded to my post and gave me gift vouchers. First of all I was surprised that they even cared about my comment, but I was really happy that they cared about customers and what they had to say about their dishes. A couple months after I received voucher I decided to come for lunch. This time I decided to try their perfect pie trio(with chicken pot pie, Caesar salad, and any pies for only $ 9.99!). It also comes with free corn bread :) I know it sounds like no challenging dishes but I got bad experience with simple salad last time so I just wanted to get something yummy and simple plus I get my fav pie for dessert. Well I must say… I loved it! Chicken pot pie was really good, I’m not a pot pie person but it was very delicious. Creamy soup with chunk of chicken which isn’t too dry, crusty top and lots of veggies. And Caesar salad was perfectly mixed with right amount of dressing! I could not stop smiling while I was eating pot pie lol. Coz it was really yummy(and I was really hungry too) Service was very nice and get seated right away too. So I bumped my starts from 3 to 5! Thanks for GM of MC for asking me to come back again with generous gift voucher :) I will def come back again not only for their fabulous pie but their food!

I’ve been here several times and I’m a fan. This place has a really quaint, calm, homey ambiance inside. It’s a good place to come have a nice meal and a conversation as there is not a lot of ambient background noise. The staff is very friendly here. Plenty of seating and the restaurant is kept very clean. We all know Marie Callender’s is known for their excellent pies and cornbread, but their shrimp tacos are delicious! I think this place has one of the best shrimp tacos in the area. You don’t think Marie Callender’s and think tacos, but they are really good, trust me. For $ 8.99 give it a try. You get three shrimp tacos, they are kind of light though, so you might want to finish off with a slice of pie or cheesecake. The coffee here is also really good. They have omelettes all-day too now, which is great for those brunchy mid-afternoon cravings. The salad bar always looks immaculate and fresh. This place is seriously underrated and is better than some of the other higher profile restaurants in the Puente Hills Mall area and not as busy, crowded, or noisy(all pluses). Only downside is the nearby traffic from the rude Costco patrons if you go during busy hours or on weekends.

First time at a MC in many, many years due to the yuck factory the last time at a different location. Today was different. The lunch turkey dinner was perfect and hot. The corn bread was fresh baked not microwave heated. Our service was excellent and the waitress received a generous tip. Will be back again!

First time going to this location and having a dinner alone and what I was craving was a lot of potato and something sort of healthy like a salad. I got my wish when I came here! Seating was plenty and service was really good! I was seated a nice comfortable booth table. My server was pretty nice she let me look over the menu and came after I had closed it to take my order. Ordered a loaded mashed potatoes and a blue cheese cob salad. The loaded mashed potatoe actually came out first and than after that my salad. No biggie at all I also got a complimentary corn bread with butter which I believe is what they give to every person as their bread. I don’t know why but I have been craving potatoes and blue cheese all together it’s strange but I had a great dinner!

I had high hopes for Marie Callendar’s. I had good memories of going to the Marie Callendar’s in Monterey Park when I was younger. I recall it was one of my parent’s favorite places. I looked forward to coming here. The fact that they had a $ 9.99 pie trio special and a «Kid’s eat Free» deal on Tuesday’s and Saturday nights helped me to make my decision to come here for dinner. But, this Marie Callendar’s left a bad taste in my mouth. Service was below average. Our waitress seemed to do her best. But, it also seemed like she was a new employee. There were things that she did not know and had to check with her manager’s with a lot of things. The food? We started off with warm corn bread. Fresh out of the microwave oven. It would’ve been nice if it was freshly baked, but, no. They have pans of cornbread. The microwave ovens are out in the open for everyone to see. I saw the waitresses cutting pieces of cornbread and placing it into the microwave oven. The chicken pot pie was not what I remember years ago. It was salty. The crust was good. But, if it was the same recipe, I can’t believe I used to like this stuff. My wife got the beef stroganoff. It looked more like a fettucine pasta with a can of beef stew. I didn’t look or taste very good. My daughter go the Mac N Cheese. She didn’t like it. She always finishes her Mac N Cheese. Not here. The Strawberry pie was good. But, the waitress gave it to me in a to go container. Was she trying to get rid of us? When they presented me with the bill, I saw that they charged my daughter for the meal. I told the waitress that on their website, it says kid’s eat free. She checked with her manager. They later gave it to me, but, she told me «You have to ask for it, otherwise we don’t give it to you.» Really? They have a kid’s eat free promotion, but, you have to ask for it? Ridiculous! The 2 stars is because I still like their pies. The waitress was new. It wasn’t her fault. But, I didn’t like my visit here. I won’t be coming back.
