Established in 2010.

A Quality Appraisal, LLC began as a regional appraisal company servicing NW Oregon and SW Washington from the Oregon Coast east to Bend, OR; and from as far south as Eugene, OR through the Mid-​Willamette Valley extending north all the way to Centralia, WA. We are highly experienced in many remote property locations. However, as our clientele has grown, we have decided to restrict our appraisal services mainly to the Greater Portland area.

At this time, we focus on Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas Counties in Oregon and Clark County in Washington. Our service area encompasses all of the Portland Metropolitan Region stretching from the cities of Gresham west to Beaverton, and from Oregon City north to Vancouver, WA. However, we also continue to service clients on both sides of the Columbia Gorge from St. Helens to Hood River and The Dalles. We also regularly appraise property in the Newberg and McMinnville areas of Yamhill County.

Business Owner

Gary F. Kristensen is the President and Chief Appraiser of A Quality Appraisal, LLC. He is an Oregon native who grew up in Milwaukie, graduated from Oregon City High School, and lives in Happy Valley. Gary has several appraisers in his family. He started working in real estate appraisal shortly after graduating from college.

Gary began his appraisal career by working for a company located in Oregon City and appraising properties in 26 counties in NW Oregon and SW Washington. He worked as a Certified Residential Appraiser focusing on remote rural properties and as a Registered Appraiser’s Assistant working on commercial properties. During this time, Gary became adept at working with complex, unusual, or remote properties — properties that most appraisers never attempt due to extremely limited sales data.

Mr. Kristensen has experience in appraising nearly all property types including industrial, development land, commercial/​retail, and multi-​family. However, Gary’s principal
