Their Insurance (Auto, home owners etc) is TERRIBLE! sure they save you a little money, there’s a reason why… My agent was Debbie V. She never got back to me when I had questions. I always had to track her down for some answers. She was never in the office, never able to respond to my emails. It became clear that she only makes money on new policies, not keeping existing clients. They made a critical error on my homeowners policy. They refused to accept responsibility for their mistake or fix it. It’s been terrible cleaning up their mess. Had to make at least 10 phone calls to various places (my bank, my credit card company, my mortgage company) to try to get things resolved. The Road side assistance is great, their other services are all great. Insurance is clearly NOT their strength.

You don’t want to call AAA, but when you have to, you’re glad you opted to have AAA.
I had to call them recently. The professionalism on the line taking a new service call, their accuracy in estimating a time window for someone to arrive, and the courteous response by the person and outfit dispatched for the call were top notch.
I’ve been with them for a long time. Earlier on, they were a candy store for me since I like maps and their travel guides for the U.S. and Canada, which are full of tourism facts and information, area attractions, and lodging and dining listings … which sometimes turn into Unilocal reviews! So, yes, in that way, I am a geek. But, between roadside assistance, travel information, and other services, they are a trusted ally, and at a reasonable price at that.

Wonderful people. Their services are not only helpful but their staff friendly.

We have had AAA forever and I try to use all the services so it feels like the dues pay for themselves. We used the travel services from this location to book a trip to Egypt, Israel, Jordan and Germany. It was all the same trip and our travel agent was on top of her game.
She was able to help us schedule our flights We lived in Germany for a few years and we wanted to go back and once I saw the connecting flight was going there, I asked her if she could find us a long lay over so we could leave the airport and run around Frankfurt. She did a great job finding a flight that gave us plenty of time to get out of the airport, ride the train in and go to a May festival and enjoy the day before returning for our connecting flight. She made all our arrangements and promptly sent us tickets and directed us on what we needed to travel to this part of the world.
We were gone a month and a few days after we got home, our agent called to check how the trip went and asked if she could see pictures of the trip. We did have an issue with tickets we paid for to get inside the Great pyramid but didn’t actually get. This was the tour company in Egypt’s fault not AAA. She got on the phone and got us refunds immediately.
I would recommend AAA for help putting a large trip together, they were very professional.

So. Worth it.
I wish the rest of the insurance industry would take a lesson from AAA* instead of wallowing, as it does, knee-​deep and notorious in more than just this girl’s personal book of Hateful Things.
Considering how long Triple A has endured — an ever-​trusted companion of the weary traveler — it makes you wonder: why haven’t the others stepped up?
I love Triple A. Love it. Looooove it.
For what… $ 60 a year… I get free maps for road trips. I get discounts on hotels and rental cars. I get a random magazine that I don’t always read, but also don’t automatically recycle. Even if my car doesn’t break down (the big insurance gamble), I still get rewarded for membership.
And recently, when my car DID bite the big one, thanks to my AAA membership, I got a handy chunk of change knocked off of a big auto repair job, plus free towing, which more than handily trounced my membership fee.
Can they be any more AAAwesome? I contend that they cannot.
