Established in 1971.

Jay’s Sporting Goods was started in 1971 by Jay and Arlene Poet in is Michigan’s Original Outdoor Superstore. Starting from a one car garage we have grown into a 90,000 square foot building in Clare and a 48,000 square foot building in Gaylord, MI which as of April 2015 we moved to a 92,000 square foot building. With a family like atmosphere and a Faith based focus that has been in business for over 40 years!

Bryan is one among many of the knowledgeable members we have on our staff here at Jay’s. His resume comes from his extensive love of the outdoors especially within fishing. When Bryan isn’t working the aisles you may see him on the television show Fishing 411. His love in the outdoors shows in his knowledge and joy he shares with customers and friends.
