Outstanding service and high quality food. It’s a little expensive but well worth it.

My go to place for take-out sushi. I think you generally get more for your money compared to many of the more expensive places in the area. Friendly staff.

Friendly service, family oriented and very customer service oriented. Close to work and home, making this a quick stop for lunch or Togo dinner. You don’t always have time to go to a sit down sushi place, this place hits the spot. Will do healthy options such as tuna or chicken salad, hand rolls or brown rice.

This place is always quick and friendly. The food isn’t incredible, but it isn’t terrible/the sushi won’t get you sick. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s super convenient.

Blah! Way to expensive 8PC combo plate. Fish tasted funny and I think too expensive at $ 24.00 They are also way slow. Nice service however.

This place is great for a relatively low cost high quality meal. Their service is outstanding and Blue Fin is definitely in my rotation.

It’s meant to be a take-out/casual sushi place, but the freshness of the fish and quality of the food is almost worthy of being a restaurant. The five stars is for the service though. The lady that took care of my order displayed some of the best customer service And really made my visit a pleasure. All of the staff was extremely kind and went above and beyond for the customers. Will definitely come back!

We’ve been coming here for several years now and aside from not having a problem accommodating my food allergies, the guy that’s at the register most of the time now remembers without me having to tell him and he even reminds my husband if he comes for takeout and forgets to mention it. The quality and quantity used to vary a bit from visit to visit but that has not been the case lately. Everything is good and I highly recommend Blue Fin!

My coworker and I went here for lunch. She ordered the poki it was 10.95 the tuna was mixed with tomatoes, I would say over 75%! Served over greens. We ask the mng why so many tomatoes and were told that’s how they have always served it. and due to ridings costs etc… etc… The tempura was good that I had though. They make the rolls fresh to order.

Food 5* Service 4* Speed of service 4* Cleanness 5* Overall this is a great place, the quality of the ingredients and the presentation makes this place, one of the best teriyaki places I’ve been too. Define tell try it if you are in the area.

Order delivery. Caterpillar roll-below average. Small portion. Still kind of hungry after finishing the rolls.

This review is for rolls, sushi, salad and soup only. Rolls: tempura shrimp was soggy and rubbery in the Jessica roll. Utterly tasteless. Don’t know why i didn’t send the roll back. California roll was kind of what I’d expect wallpaper paste to taste like. Even the cukes were limp. Pieces: tiny, grey. Sad. Soup. Broth with a smidge of miso. Salad: very green, the iceberg shade. Very uniform shapes. No rustic chic here. Total sticker shock. $ 45 for what i described above, plus soda in a can. Save your money. Get the sushi at the gas station. It’ll be the same, if not better. Sigh. Going to pour self glass of wine now. Service was nice. So… one star.

Even though Blue Fin is a little out of the way for me, it is quickly becoming my go-to spot for quick and convenient sushi or teriyaki. In addition to their quickness and convenience, even for a take-out style spot, the quantity and quality is definitely there. The quality of the fish and the food overall is pretty much on-par with any decent sit-down style sushi spot. Also, the service has always been great, friendly, and professional. Oh, and they deliver! The negative reviews I’ve read all pretty much have unfounded claims. People really expect Jiro’s sushi at a take-out spot in California; this is the problem with Unilocal… Anyway, I definitely recommend Blue Fin if you want to satiate your sushi cravings. Their menu’s pretty expansive, so they will more than likely have something you want.

*UPDATE* Sadly this place started going downhill almost 2 years ago. I don’t know if there was a change of ownership or not, but quality has gone so far south, I felt the need to update. We first noticed a drop off in the quality of fish. In 3 years of eating here, I had never had to send anything back. Twice now I’ve ordered tuna(red) sushi and received sad, pale pink pieces of «fish» that looked like they had been left sitting out all week. The other day I ordered a Philly roll and the salmon on top(again a sad pale dishwater pink,) was not a single strip of fish, but tiny PIECES of salmon pieced together, like they had used the leftover cuts. Ewwwww. I’ve never been served anything like that, it was distasteful, especially at their prices! You can tell a place is doomed when they start nickle and dime-ing you for everything and turning on only half the lights. =(They used to let you substitute a tuna roll instead of the Cali roll on the lunch specials, now they charge $ 1, which is fine, but we’re regular customers and have been doing that for years so it kind of bugs me. They also make a face if you ask for extra salad dressing – which they have begun obviously watering down, or more than the tiny dollop of wasabi they give you, and you have to ask for ginger now. So sad to see this place go downhill, but all in all, your money is much better spent elsewhere.

My mom brought home take-out from Blue Fin last night and I was seriously disappointed. We had two bento boxes. Both bentos came with rice, salad, soup, tempura, and a choice of meat. My brother had the chicken teriyaki box, which was alright. The chicken was tender and the portion was good. The salmon teriyaki box was not as great. There were only 3 sad chicken-nugget sized pieces of salmon that came with it… so disappointed. The california rolls were whatever, the same as everywhere else, as was the rice and salad. The tempura was alright. a bit soggy but it was take-out so it’s understandable. Overall, my experience was not great. I probably won’t be ordering from them again.

You can’t compare to authentic Japanese food but the food is pretty good for fast Japanese food. I wouldn’t come here for rolls, but the BENTOBOXES have generous portions with different options to choose from for a reasonable price. The UDON is pretty good for around $ 6 and you can add on several different items such as a California Roll(4 pieces) for $ 2.95. The place is clean. The service is pretty good and they also have delivery option. They also have Jazz outside on weekend evenings.
