Sabado & Associates is supervised and managed by three law partners with varying areas of expertise. Our areas of expertise include: criminal defense, DUIs, DMV hearings, domestic violence, family law, child and spousal support; custody, estate planning, wills & trusts, consumer bankruptcy, and debt negotiations.

Prof. Raul C. Sabado and Mr. Kratu Patel manage all criminal, domestic violence, and DUI cases jointly. Prof. Sabado is primarily responsible for our eastern region while partner Kratu Patel is in charge of the western region. Associate attorney James Speights is in charge of DMV Hearing operations and serves as primary support in both regions.

Managing Partner Orsolya F. Sabado supervises operations for estate planning, family law, and wills and trusts. Attorney Miriam Ali has primary responsibility for consumer bankruptcy and debt negotiations and she handles family law matters

History

Established in 2012.

Professor Raul Sabado has been practicing and teaching law since 2004. After a couple of years in private practice and seven years as a trial lawyer in the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office, he founded his own private offices. In 2012, he established what is now the Law Offices of Sabado & Associates where he and wife, Orsolya Sabado, manage the firm.

Orsolya Sabado has been practicing law since 2006. Her vast experience began as a law clerk for the Los Angeles County District Attorney and then for the bankruptcy and business litigation firm of Gonzales & Associates. Thereafter, Mrs. Sabado became an associate tax attorney at the Law Offices of Dekessian & Associates in Glendale. For several years following, Mrs. Sabado practiced family law as a child support enforcement attorney for the County of Los Angeles and then later as a supervising child support attorney for the County of San Bernardino.

Business Owner

As a lawyer, Raul Sabado has personally represented 10 thousand clients and has 15 years of trial and litigation experience. Seven of those years was spent as a trial attorney for the L.A. County Public Defender. Before working at the Public Defender’s office, he was an associate attorney at the Law Office of Guerrero & Chan, LLP, where he practiced family law and civil litigation.

He has represented clients in the California Superior Courts of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, and Santa Barbara Counties. In total, he has tried over 50 trials to verdict.

Mr. Sabado is MORE than just a practicing lawyer. Mr. Sabado teaches criminal trial advocacy at the La Verne College of Law and criminal justice at Cal Poly University, Pomona.
