History

Established in 2010.

In 2009 Rick Lewis met Hector Gonzales. Hector was a subcontracted plumber that was running crews for the installation of 260+ water heaters at a project That Rick was overseeing. They hit it off right away and the project went off without a hitch. Hector approached Rick at the end of the project and asked if he would be interested in a partnership. They discussed the options and decided it would be a good match. Source 1 was off and running!

It’s hard these days to find a reliable and honest plumber, but I’m glad we came in contact with Rick. We had an outdoor drain that was clogged and Rick was honest with his assessment of the problem, made every effort to fix the problem, and we were satisfied with the results.

I found Rick through the Claremont Chamber of Commerce. We needed the ventilation on our dryer re-​done and our dishwasher installed. As he was examining the dryer exhaust, he found a leak under the house! He was able to fix all the problems. He and his assistant worked carefully and conscientiously. I really liked that he suggested that we move our pet bird to another room of the house, so that the bird wouldn’t be exposed to dust from the crawl space. After Rick was done, we did have one small issue with the dryer ventillation (it had been leaking from two places, not just one!), but Rick came out right away and fixed the problem for free. We will definitely use him again.

Found this company through Unilocal,needed their services because we needed the hot/​cold water valves for the washing machine replaced due to severe corrosion. When I called, I left a message, and then got a call back soon after. Made an appointment that same day and they called before arriving on time. Upon inspection, Rick gave me a estimate and also let me know that the main water pipe/​valve was broken so he gave me an estimate for that too and fixed it on the spot.
I appreciated the honest and sincere vibe I got from them and also am happy that he fixed a problem I didn’t know I even had! They answered every question I had with patience and with clarity. He probably saved me future damage/​costs. I would recommend this company to anyone in search of a good plumber. Will personally call them again in the future if something arises. Thank you Rick!

Rick is a real pro! He gets right to the root of the problem and gets it fixed. He is informative and explains the whole process. We had a slab leak in our hall way — had no idea where the water was coming from! He showed up quickly, diagnosed the problem, jackhammered away and provided the other companies that needed to do the restoration work. He also gave me good advice on how to deal with the insurance company. He is always my go-​to plumber and I trust him enough to refer him to my clients as well.

Rick is the best plumber I have ever worked with. He is fast, efficient, clever and competitively priced too! We’ve thrown a couple of weird jobs his way in the past few months and the results are just –BOOM– done. So far he has only been out to our work location, but I also have an older house with questionable plumbing. It is a big relief to know that Source One is just a phone call away.

I called him about a plumbing problem at around 7:00 a.m. this morning. He adjusted his already busy schedule and came out to my home between other appointments. The problem was fixed by 1:30 p.m. for a very reasonable cost. Highest possible recommendation!

Our bathroom remodel ran into a huge snag when we discovered major rust in our drain pipes. The first plumber I called said the whole wall must be ripped open and the pipes needed to be completely replaced. I called Rick at Source 1 for a second opinion, and I’m so glad that I did! He explained over the phone that rust was a common problem and could most likely be resolved by snaking. I asked him to come out as soon as possible, and he was readily available. He and his partner were able to clear our drain lines, even though the first plumber that saw them said «Impossible!» They even cleaned up their mess with no trace left.

This morning I realized the pilot light on my water heater was out & wouldn’t stay lit. I called Source 1 & explained the issue the lady said she’d have Rick call me back. Within 30 minutes he called, I explained the problem & over the phone he pretty much knew the problem. He was booked up but made time to come take a look. The problem was exactly what he thought it would be & in less than an hour he had it fixed. While he was here I mentioned my kitchen faucet leaking & he immediately went to work but unfortunately he didn’t have an O-​ring that would work & advised me where I should go to find one. Rick & Rich were great … I will be calling Source 1 in the future.

Rick and his assistant were on time, professional, knowledgeable and thorough. I’m trying to do a remodel and add an island sink and all of that hinges on whether I can get the depth I need for the draining. They came out with the video camera technology we needed to gauge the depth and direction of the current pipe. Rick was very personable and also checked the pressure coming into my house without me asking. He also gave sound advice about how to care for the older pipes draining my shower. Thank you Source 1. Hope I don’t have to call again soon, but glad I know who to call.

Had an insane water bill so I called the water company and they suggested it was most likely a leak. So I called Source 1 as they were recommended by a friend. Rick showed up and was extremely professional. He checked all the plumbing then pulled out his leak detection equipment, found a slab leak and was working to resolve it within 15 minutes. It was heart wrenching seeing my floor being jack hammered but I was pleasantly surprised how they were able to contain the mess with their prep work. Great job!
