Cabin Rentals of Helen & Sautee

Very nice cozy clean rental. Stayed here at Christmas and really had a nice weekend. Hot tub and ping pong on the porch was great for the kids. Grill on back was great for our STEAKS! Had an awesome weekend and would stay here again. A little closer to others if you plan on getting rowdy I recommend somewhere more secluded.

We have been traveling to Helen for the past five years for Oktoberfest to celebrate my husband’s birthday with a group of friends. We rented a condo in-​town from this company for a three day weekend trip. There is a lock box with a key to obtain access to the cabin/​condo. There is not an actual check-​in or check-​out process. Here in lies the problem. The management contacted me a couple days after we departed to tell me that they could not find the ONE key that was left in the lock box. I told them that my husband put it in there before we left. However, they continued to claim that there was no key and that the lock box was not scrambled, but left on the code that was used to access the lock box. I work in property management with the same lock boxes, so I am always very cognizant of never leaving a lock box on the combination code. It is now a month later and they just contacted me to tell me that they STILL have not found the key and are going to charge me $ 75. My husband called and told them again exactly what we did, but they said since we signed a contract we have to pay. We are disputing the charges because we believe that they are falsifying facts to make money. RENTER BEWARE!!! THIS COMPANY IS CLEARLY TRYING TO MAKE EXTRA MONEY HOWEVER POSSIBLE AND ATTEMPTING TO HIDE BEHIND THE CONTRACTS THAT RENTERS SIGN IN ORDER TO MAKE THEM PAY!!! I’ll be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau as well… Their business practices are not set up to run efficiently in order to avoid these kinds of problems.

We stayed here for a few nights during Oktoberfest and were pretty disappointed. First off, they did not give us directions or instructions until the day we arrived. When you get there, get there DURING THE DAY — the roads don’t have any lights, and it gets pretty foggy. When we got there, we were so creeped out. We finally found the key to get in and turned on ALL the lights. Our cabin didn’t have any blinds, the hot tub wasn’t full enough, outside was very dirty, our waterfall didn’t work (that was the whole reason we go the cabin), the roads were full of pits, and the phone didn’t call out (we didn’t have cell phone reception). There was internet, but it was very slow. We also couldn’t get one of the DVD players to work. When we called and complained, they said they would send someone on Monday — we were leaving on Sunday so that didn’t help us. Needless to say we made due, but we all agreed we wouldn’t come back.

Great cabin selection; helpful at the front desk; had cabins within walking distance — we really liked our cabin; were very accommodating and let us drop the key off later.
I’d use these guys again.

Some friends and I rented a cabin from these guys for a weekend in Helen.
The cabin was perfect and just as described. The price was reasonable, the service was great, and we got our deposit back!
We weren’t able to get there for the first night of our reservation so they offered to add an extra night on the back end of our stay — without us even asking!
They offered plenty of great suggestions in terms of area attractions and dining options.
They even let us drop the key off later in the afternoon so we could spend our last morning enjoying the downtown area instead of driving in circles.
I’d definitely rent from them again!
