Percussion/​World Percussion/​Hand Drums: Reading music, hand technique, traditional rhythms and contemporary music. Guitar/​Bass: music theory & reading music, playing music.

Piano/​Voice: learn and extend the boundaries of your inner musical voice through the piano our your own voice!

Brass & Woodwinds: music techniques, reading music & various styles of music.

Combo Band/​Ensemble: Classic Rock, Blues, Pop, Jazz, World music… opportunities to perform for the public!

Music Theory Class: theory course that will teach you the science of music. Group lessons available.

Music Production Class: A one hour class, once a week. Group lessons available.

Our Brand of instruction stems from a music industry perspective. Here at HMI we strive to give our students a practical and professional music education. Teaching techniques used by music industry professionals around the world enhances the musical experience of our students, and has helped them succeed on their own musical journey!

Ivan H.

Business Owner

Ivan Hampden Jr., music educator and 4x Grammy winner, has spent his entire life in the music industry. Performing, recording, composing, producing, arranging, publishing and even as a recording engineer. The Hamptown Music Institute incorporates these skills and experiences to prepare the next generation of musicians and artists for a real world experience in the entertainment business.
