I’m really picky about hairstylists because my hair is hard to cut and my ego is fragile. Once I find someone I stick with them. I have been driving to the city to follow my previous stylist who moved from WC. I have paid triple what I pay at Lenny’s. I called desperate because I got a dremmel stuck in my hair (please don’t ask). Lenny saved and laughed with me. Now Lenny cuts my hair and his shop is right up the street. It’s casual and friendly and our conversations pick up where they left off. He is attentive to my hair idiosyncrasies and friendly but respectful. (We’ve all had that «creepy friendly» stylist, am I right? Well that’s not him). I never noticed any issues the negative reviews mention. I guess compared to driving to SF and making appointments weeks in advance — just deciding on a whim to get a cut and waltzing in and getting it done makes any wait time (which varies) negligible. Plus… Starbucks and/​or Coldstone!

Love love love! The girls in here are super fun and odd an amazing job on my son’s Mohawk! It was the best Mohawk he has ever gotten. Prices are good and they really know hair. Kristina and Cassandra were both friendly and accommodating, and we didn’t have to wait too long since they had the salon fully staffed to accommodate weekend traffic. Highly recommend Lenny’s!

Christine knows what’s she’s doing. She gave my husband the best haircut he has had in years! She went beyond just a quick haircut. she took the time to make sure every hair was in place and styled his hair according to his hair-​type. Highly recommend. We will be asking for her next time!

Staff here is very friendly. The place is always clean. I bring my toddler here because he loves that the Avengers are painted on the wall. Also they have two cars the kids sit in while they get their haircut. Did I mention they get a FREE toy!
Arthur cuts his hair and my oldest son as well. Great guy and very friendly.
There is a Safeway, Starbucks, Walgreens and Coldstone very close by. So you can drop of your kids and do a little shopping or grab something sweet.

I was looking for a step up from a franchise hair salon and I figured I’d give this place a shot. My first time was a Saturday and I was expecting a long wait. But it wasn’t just a long wait that I encountered, there was no system for taking names or even tracking who was next. Two individuals who were clearly «buddies» with the staff were seated before me. I let it go after one of the stylists apologized for the «misunderstanding» before I was seated. The haircut was just average, nothing to write home about. Today I came in just before 10 a.m. (sign says they open at 9) and was told by the one stylist working, more staff would be in shortly to take care of me. I assumed someone was scheduled for 10 am, seemed reasonable. But by 10:15 no one new had shown up and the one stylist was too busy chatting away with his client to check in with me. This time I left and got my hair cut elsewhere. Lennys disappointed me twice and won’t be getting my business.

Walked in mid afternoon on a Thursday and got a terrific cut from Lenny. He took a lot of time layering my hair and it’s never looked better. His colleague flat ironed it free of charge too. Best of all, it was a steal — $ 40. I’ve paid double for mediocre cuts.

I suddenly decided I wanted a change today and first thought about coloring my hair myself. After realizing what a disaster coloring over an ombré my self at home would be, not knowing what I was doing at all, I decided to call Lenny’s since they were so close to me and have some pretty decent reviews on Unilocal.The girl I talked to on the phone was very nice (didn’t her name) and let me know that Lenny could do a consult to see what my options would be. She said I could come in right away and then set up an appointment from there. Lenny looked at my hair and told me my option and said we could start right then and there! I was very happy about that, since I expected to not be able to do until next weekend. Lenny did a wonderful job covering up my blondish ombré to a beautiful chocolate brown with no trace of the ombré! Fantastic job, fantastic people, and a very fair price. I will definitely be going to Lenny from not on!

I loved the set up for kids but my 2 year old left with scratches all over his neck. Safe to say we wont be back. The haircut is mediocre. Pass!!!

As we were leaving subway we decided to test our luck with our rambunctious two year old, who had screamed his way out of his last hair cut a couple of days before. Luckily they could take us without an appointment, and only a couple minutes wait. Well my son completely freaked out started screaming and kicking, I kept thinking the barber (sorry didn’t catch his name) was going to give up and send us on our way, luckily that’s didn’t happen despite my son being the worst! He continued to patiently work thru the hair cut. I’m sure he was annoyed and frustrated with my little terror but he didn’t show it. He had a calm peaceful demeanor thought the cut. Very professional, he really went above and beyond for my little guy. Thank you!

I had a massive hair emergency and Christine came to the rescue to fix my botched balayage that was done at a local salon here in concord. I normally don’t get upset when things go a little haywire with hair, but this looked like color was just slapped on in certain parts and then just bled. Thankfully Christine blended it right away and now it looks so gorgeous! I could never thank her enough. She is balayage queen.

I was a big fan of this place but after today’s visit we will not be back ever.
We come in the place is busy. Great for them. So we were told it will be a short wait. After waiting 20 minutes a little girl walks and in seated right away. Ok maybe she had an appt.
Wait another 5 getting frustrated start to leave and was told another barber is almost done and points to him. Ok cool so we sit back down.
Another 10 minutes goes by and a lady walks in with two boys and says do you have time for one? Then ask the other boy if he wanted a hair cut. And he said yes son she said two please.
Within minutes the next barber takes the new boy! I asked the mom if she had a Appt and she said no she just walked in!
So frustrating we just left and went to the other barber in the same shopping center.
They lost a long time customer.

I found Lenny’s through Unilocal and gave them a try since my boyfriend was in need of a haircut. One of the owners himself greeted us and set up an appointment for us that day. Even though his arm was in a brace he did a fantastic job. We went for a buzzed sides but kept the length on top, he cleaned everything up and we loved it. Definitely going back again and probably going even shorter on the sides.

My husband was just here because i told him to go there because of the high reviews. He was really mad that the guy screwed up his hair. He needs to just cut it all off. This was the worst haircut ever. Arthur is the name of the guy who botched my husbands hair. I expect a refund.

My husband is to embarrassed and nice to tell the truth about his haircut. I’m not! This is the last time he will be giving this place yet another chance. Kevin did an awful job! He messed up the taper/​fade on the back and sides of this easy simple cut. I am tired of paying outrageous prices for «ugly» work. Thanks but no thanks I’ll just do the same work in my own home for free. Ugg waste of time and $$!! The two stars are only because I like the owner and the neatness of his shop.

We actually went to cold stones a couple doors down and the family friendly environment drew us in as our little one wanted to draw and color as there was a station here with 3 girls sharing in the drawing fun. We were really happy to spend some time with the owner and his kids playing and will for sure come back to get a hair cut! Very grateful for the hospitality. Thank you!!!

Today was our second visit and I still give them 5 stars. We took my son for his haircut and thought maybe if he saw dad get his hair cut first he wouldn’t cry, well that plan didn’t work but he got his haircut anyway.
The lady that cut my husbands hair was sweet and did a good job. I appreciated her honesty when she passed on cutting my sons hair so the gentleman that was working with her ended up cutting my sons hair.
I think his name was Art, but I could be wrong, he did a great job. He was very nice even when my son was crying and turning his head the guy stayed calm and patient. I am so happy to have found this place I would recommend them for adults and kids.
I hope this experience will make haircuts go better for my son in the future.

I LOVE this place.
My 1 year old needed a haircut. Since it was his first haircut I didn’t know what to expect. I turned to Unilocal to find a place that could be trusted with such a momentous occasion and again, my fellow Unilocalers did not let me down.
My son has gotten his hair cut twice here by two different stylists. The vibe of the salon is great. It has a a garage/​car theme and I love that they have the cute little car chairs for kids to sit. My son was a little to young for the kid seats so he ended up sitting in my lap. He did amazing! Of course it helped to have such experienced hair stylists who were careful and fast! They did a great job!
I definitely recommend this place to anyone but especially those with young ones :)
