Terry was my wife’s favorite vendor from our wedding. It felt like he was an active participant in our wedding; he wanted our wedding to be as special and memorable as he could make it.
He was very personable. Meeting with him prior to the wedding was an enjoyable experience. He got to know us and was able to match our personality and music tastes to the event playlist he created. He responded to emails quickly and professionally.
He dressed appropriately for a wedding and worked hard on the day of. He was very comfortable behind the microphone and easily emcee’d the event. The transitions and introductions between wedding speeches were smooth. Our wedding required multiple setups, outdoors and indoors. He not only was able to provide the equipment but he was able to move the crowd with ease from the ceremony to the food services, drinks, indoors dancing, and games.
He even assisted in many aspects of our wedding including parts that were outside the scope of his services. For example, he brought us food during our photo shoot because he heard the bride had been too busy and hadn’t eaten for 7 hours. He even hid the bride from the groom and made sure he got out of her way.

After Terry Newberry was the DJ for my sister’s wedding in December 2014, I knew that he would also be perfect for our wedding in July 2015. Terry makes planning the music for your wedding so seamless. His online planning tools are a great resource for making sure not a detail of your day is missed. We had some special requests for him, including mixing songs for our Father-​Daughter/​Mother-​Son dances and Terry did all this with ease! He met with us before our wedding to plan all the details and also give us some great advice about song choices. He is confident, helpful, and very experienced. With Terry, we never had a doubt that our sound/​music wouldn’t be perfect. The sound for our ceremony and reception was loud and clear! He was a great MC and really engages with your guests. I would recommend DJ Terry of Magic Entertainment with the highest regards!

Terry, you were terrific. The wedding on 8÷8÷15 at the Jefferson St Mansion was ausome. The lighting, music, food, pictures with you keeping it going was beyond what we could have imagined.

When we started planning our wedding, we knew it was important to us to find a DJ who was lively and would keep the night moving, especially for our range of ages at our wedding. We were recommended to Terry, and after meeting with him we quickly felt we could trust him to be our wedding DJ. We received comments all night about how much people enjoyed Terry’s announcing of events, the quick connections he made between events so everything flowed smoothly, his professionalism, and how they could tell he was experienced at what he does. He wasn’t afraid to get up in front and get the crowd excited. Even with a couple quick changes (speech order and such), he was on top of everything. As a bride, it was a huge relief to have him there to help us through our reception, even when timing got a little off. Additionally, he was sure to keep the dance floor moving and was very receptive to the music we wanted to be played. He has a great playlist builder on his website that makes it easy to tell him what songs you like. We are so happy he was our DJ, and recommend him to all our friends!

Our wedding was perfect and it’s largely because of Terry! He played the best music all night and I know there was always someone dancing on the dance floor! He also did a great job emceeing for us! He surprised us with the shoe game and it turned out to be quite a hit, luckily my husband and I were on the same page! Wow, Magic Entertainment is awesome! We met him while he was DJing a friend’s wedding. We were blown away, and knew we needed him for ours. He did not disappoint. He’s such a cool guy, and he’s super attentive. Everyone loved him, and he was such a help facilitating our reception. We’ll always remember him as a huge part of making our wedding day such a success! As long as he’s working, we’ll always recommend him!

DJ Terry is everything his reviews say he is and more! When searching for our wedding DJ, we did not know what to look for or how to find one. We researched DJs near the area of our wedding (San Ramon) and DJ Terry’s Unilocal and Wedding Wire reviews popped up with nothing but 5 stars. Terry was incredible throughout the entire process from the very beginning when he happily agreed to meet with us and our family in person at our venue prior to signing a contract. DJ Terry has invaluable experience and expertise. On the day of our wedding (12÷21÷14), him and his assistant ran the sound and timing for our outdoor ceremony so smoothly, without any mistakes or technical difficulties! During the reception, Terry kept the dance floor full of people and energy. He even made a shout out to the teachers (myself, mom, dad, sister, uncle, bridesmaids, cousins, etc. are all teachers) and how valuable the profession is to our society. It was so special to our wedding guests and made for a very personal addition to our reception. I would absolutely recommend DJ Terry for any event!

Working with Terry for our wedding was AWESOME! He is extremely professional, approachable and personable. He was our DJ/​MC for our wedding (150 guests) and kept everyone laughing, dancing and having FUN all night. We had a bit of a delay at the beginning of our reception due to some of our helpers not arriving on time to help set up but Terry took care of it, he told my wife and I «don’t worry I’ll take care of everyone» and he did! He played great music and entertained all of our guests and no one had any clue anything went wrong. There is nothing Terry can’t do! He is absolutely amazing and will never let you down!!! He deserves more than 5 stars!!!

We had Terry DJ our wedding (06÷27÷14) at Oakhurst Country Club and I have to say he did a fantastic job! He kept the flow of the party going from beginning to end and made sure our guests were entertained as well as us (surprise bride & groom game)!! He is friendly, spoke with a lot of my guests and family and is extremely personable. He played all of the songs that were important to us and kept the night on schedule from event to event. My wedding was March 29, 2014. Besides my venue,(and obviously, my husband) Terry was the bast thing about my wedding! I met him at a bridal Faire he was MC for and knew I had to book him! He’s hilarious!!! When choosing your DJ, it’s not just about music… They are pretty much running your wedding, working with your coordinator to keep things on track, and being the voice of the bride and groom. They need personality and need to be great speakers, and Terry has both x100!
It was a joy and blessing to work with him, he was always so flexible meeting with my husband and I, answered all my questions quickly and thoroughly, helped me create my timeline of the day, offering opinions but always working with me if my wants didn’t match up, and the day of, read our crowd so well, I don’t think the dance floor was EVER empty! Trust me, for a party you and your guests will never forget, and a vendor that will be the least stressful part of your planning… You NEED DJ Magic Ent!!!

Terry is fantastic!!! He know how to keep the crowd entertained and everyone loved him at our wedding. He has a great sense of humor and will cater to your needs and wants, even if all you want is Country music ;) Highly recommend him, he did a wonderful job!

Terry was a great MC and DJ. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable during the preparation and was very professional. His online music database and checklist was very helpful in selecting the special songs that we wanted on our wedding day. The package we selected was very well priced and our wedding went flawlessly. Terry made sure we had nothing to worry about when it came to music, etc.
Terry dressed and acted professional and made sure our wedding went according to schedule and didn’t skip anything. He was also helpful in making suggestions on finalizing our timeline, and worked well with our photographer (Hanna Jeanne Photography).
We had a series of different dances, toasts, etc. and Terry did a great job with everything. I would highly recommend using him for any special event.

I’ve been to several events with Terry as the DJ and he is the best! He’s a lot of fun without being «cheesy.» It’s hard to find DJs that can be fun and classy at the same time– and Terry just nails it. Highly recommended!

Terry Newberry is a great DJ. He made our 30 year reunion even better. He really knows what he’s doing. We proved him with a list of music to play and he made it happen. He even got some of us to stop talking and start dancing. Once we started dancing we didn’t want to leave. I would use him again.

Terry was an amazing DJ! He wasn’t over the top like every DJ I’ve seen. He knew how to get our wedding crowd out to the dance floor and read them well to keep them dancing. Terry is the best! Very professional, personal, attentive to detail, and a lot of fun! He deejayed my daughters’ wedding and it was awesome! She was very picky about her music selections — what she did and did not want — and he abided by her list! He did not play ANY song she did not want and played EVERY song she did want! He kept the music going, he got EVERONE up on the dance floor, and kept the timing of the wedding at a perfect pace! We all had a fabulous time!

Woooot Woooot — Terry is the best DJ ever! Who would have ever thought a group of girls would look forward to a crab feed every year???
