Darker Image Tanning Salon

Best service & great prices! Love their ongoing promotions & specials. The employees are always wonderful & friendly. Darker Image is my favorite place to get some feel happy color on my skin :)

I chose Darker Image because their prices are completely reasonable. The tanning salon by my house in Layton, which shall remain nameless, is what I will respectfully call a rip off.
Anyway, I have to drive a few miles out of the way to get to Clearfield, but this salon makes my time worth it. They frequently have deals on their website for percentages off packages and other services. The best part about Darker Image is that you don’t have to be a «club member» to purchase unlimited months of tanning nor do you have to sign up for EFTs that you must cancel in writing. Their pricing is straightforward and fair. Period.
The staff is helpful and the facilities are clean: arguably the most weighty factors in choosing a salon. They also leave a Jolly Rancher on the towel in each clean bed as a fun little bonus. It’s not much, but it communicates that they care about customers’ experiences of their facility.
I’m taking off one star because Darker Image claims that all their beds are one level higher than other beds in the area (Level 1 is comparable to our competitor’s Level 2 and so on). I can confirm that their Level 1 beds are indeed Level 1’s, and their stand up is definitely just a standard Level 2 stand up. I’ve used plenty of beds levels 1 – 4 and can spot bulb wattage pretty easily. This definitely shouldn’t discourage you from using Darker Image, just know that you’re likely not getting anything here you wouldn’t get elsewhere.
I highly recommend Darker Image Tanning if you’re looking for a clean, affordable tanning salon – I plan to be a long-​time customer!
EDIT: I forgot to mention their hours. They’re unbelievable! Open 7 days a week and as late as 10 p.m. on weeknights.
