Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa

Perfect location, upscale, service was quick and prompt. Loved our room and loved the double doors to the entrance of the bathroom, a mini spa area, full kitchen, mini living room, for cocktails before going out. Would definitely go back again, plus watching the sunset from their pool area was perfect.

We stayed at the Hyatt Clearwater over Spring Break 4÷6−4÷11 for 5 nights. It was a beautiful hotel! We had the best vacation the pool was great and the food and drinks at swim bar were really good! The hot tub was perfect and we loved the views from every area in hotel. Very convenient to rent beach cabanas for the day and also rentals for mini segways on the beach. Though they were a bit pricey for segways the smile on our kids faces were worth it. Our room was really nice with a gulf view. Also bonus laundry units on each floor. The location is the best easy walk to restaurants and shops! We will for sure plan another stay!

Nice hotel but tell the bellman to stop hanging around cars that pull-​up like flies waiting for tips it got really old after a few days. I don’t want to BS with local 20-something’s while loading my family into the car every time we come and go. The obligatory tip is coming hold your horses. Also kids get a clue about where you are working. If you are going to make small talk make it count. Have something to offer — have some value. They were all clueless about local food options and things to do with the kids. Step it up.
The hotels food for not being excellent is a bit overpriced.

Beautiful hotel and beach, however I rated only a 3 star because of several issues…
1) Had to change out our room key 4 times because room door was screwed up. I have to say however the security & maintenance guys were fabulous!
2) After paying a high price to stay there, you still had to pay $ 30 just for a spot on the beach with a beach chair — then they came around about every 30 min and asked if you had already paid — that was a rip off and should have been included with room cost. The traffic to the beach was horrible, and the beach was too crowded & way too commercialized. I will definitely not go back to Clearwater Beach ever.
3) Our king sized bed was very comfortable, but the sofa sleeper for sister-​in-​law was awful — very thin mattress with coils that dug into her back. I do not recommend planning to have anyone use the sofa sleeper if you stay there.

I really enjoyed my stat at the Hyatt Regency. In full disclosure: I had my room comped for my 2 day stay as a special guest of a company that was working with the hotel.
We were supposed to have a King size bed and we received a «free upgrade» to two queen beds but the room was facing a hotel that had construction going on. It really wasn’t an upgrade. We didn’t care though since we live in the area. I will say that you can still see the beach from the balcony. It only took a minute or so to check in and the staff was friendly.
One of the most important things you should know are about the fees. $ 25 resort fee that includes a water bottle and an alcoholic drink I believe (I did not have this fee due to the company paying for my room, so I am not sure). Make sure you ask about it. There is also an $ 18/​day parking fee to park in their parking garage. If you have never been to Clearwater Beach, know that you will have to pay this fee. There is little parking on the beach and it is pricey.
Another important thing that you should know is that you will be walking a lot if you stay here. You have to take two different elevators and walk around to get up to your hotel. This isn’t a big deal for most people, but it may be an issue for some.
The hotel is right on the beach. It is within walking distance of Pier 60, the harbor area and tons of restaurants and shops.
The room was gorgeous. It had a HUGE bathroom. There was a large bath tub/​shower, a double sink and a separate room within for the toilet. There were several desk/​table /​working areas. A full kitchen (I don’t think this is for all rooms, but ours had one). The t.v. was a decent size, but kind of low quality. We started to watch a game on it and decided to leave for a sports bar instead for better quality. The beds are SUPER comfortable as are the pillows. They were the most comfortable beds I have ever experienced in a hotel.
The hotel also has pretty good complimentary toiletries. We received soap bars, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, cotton balls and q-​tips. The soap products were by a spa and were really nice. They were deluxe sample size.
We really enjoyed our stay here. While this hotel is outside of my normal hotel budget, I would definitely stay here again if I was given the opportunity. I also have it on good authority that some celebrities have stayed here… keep your eyes open.

I stayed here a few years ago and remember enjoying my stay, so I recommended the Hyatt to my parents on their weekend getaway. Unfortunately, they were not impressed at all by the lack of knowledge of the staff. Personally, I was unimpressed when my father and I were told to go to the front desk to pay for parking and while trying to explain this to the lady, we were interrupted by another employee. Instead of saying one second and continuing to assist us, she went on to have a conversation with this other employee about unimportant things. Pretty rude in my opinion. I don’t care if you apologize… when you pay $ 500+ a night, you should receive friendly, service from knowledgeable staff. Besides that, the hotel appeared clean even with all the traffic passing through. It’s a beautiful hotel with amazing views. I’d like to recognize the valet attendants, who were professional and friendly.

Nice hotel, average to fairly good service. It has a great view to the Gulf of Mexico, very relaxing at the open terrace. Good selection of cocktail at the bar.

Best hotel at Clearwater Beach! Great location and convenient parking. We spent Christmas and New Year’s in a big suite with full kitchen and a wonderful south view. Make sure you get the south view for NY fireworks and sunsets.
All the staff went above and beyond rudimentary hospitality nice. Everyone was genuinely nice to us and our two young girls. For example, I had to fax something at the front desk and had the girls in tow. One of the doormen immediately offered the girls juice boxes. When my 3 year old squeezed the juice box and spilled the juice, the woman behind the front desk went and got a towel.
Food at all the hotel restaurants was simply fantastic. Not a bad meal the whole time were there. The pool is heated with free water toys. Fitness center is very well equipped and the 16^th floor outdoor yard has a nice whirlpool and a great view. Will definitely be back!

My wife and I spent 5 nights here for our Christmas vacation. The #1 advantage of this hotel, from my point of view, is its location. The most popular (and populous…) section of the Clearwater beach is right in front of the hotel: it takes less than 5 min to walk there from your hotel room. The hotel has two open areas (pools, hot tubs, chairs, bars, etc) on the 8^th and 16^th floors, where you can enjoy both a great view of the beach (see my pictures) and a quieter and more private environment.
The room condition (we had a Premium King Room with Balcony and Kitchen) is simply OK, for a 4-​star hotel: it’s clean but also kind of old. One caution for guests arriving in year 2016 – 2017: there are a couple of big ongoing constructions around this hotel (one of them is a huge new hotel) and you might be affected by the noise and your balcony view (mainly north wing of the hotel) might be blocked (this is our case: we stayed on the 15^th floor of the north wing and our beach view was partially blocked by the construction; see my pictures). I roughly estimate the constructions to be done in ~1 year (we were there during Christmas 2015).
Another thing: the traffic into the beach area builds up in early afternoon and the outbound traffic peaks after sunset. You don’t need to worry much about the traffic because you’re staying at the closest spot to the beach but the hotel DOES SHARE garage parking with all beach visitors. This means you can have trouble finding a parking spot during peak hours. One day we were heading out for dinner but it took us half an hour to simply exit the garage (all visitors are leaving that time). It’s $ 16/​day for self parking.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. We came for the Outback Bowl. We stayed December 30^th — January 3^rd. Service was great. I loved their burger. However, I would say that it was a little over priced. The rooms didn’t have HD, we didn’t get maid service until 6pm. Which made it difficult when getting ready for dinner. The valet was excellent. For a great restaurant I would try Clear Sky. We ate there twice on our vacation. Service and food was great. We also enjoyed ice & cream for ice cream. I would avoid Crabby’s bar and grill. We had a terrible experience there.

I have stayed here multiple times and have never had a bad experience! The location is perfect, the rooms are large and clean, the restaurant is delicious, and such great views! I never have bad experiences at Hyatt and stay at their properties frequently. All of the employees here, especially Shannon at the front desk, are absolutely wonderful! 5 stars in every aspect! (And trust me, the parking fee is worth it! Parking anywhere on CWB is a nightmare, so just spend the money to park in the garage!)

Big rooms with balconies and a kitchenette, which we love both. Good location where many nice restaurants and touristy beach shops are within walking distance.
I had a problem with the drain in the shower, which was fixed immediately. Staff was extremely prompt and attentive. Not Ritz-​Carlton attentive, but better than most. The hotel ain’t cheap, but you get what you pay for.
The layout is odd — check in on 1; event space, bar, restaurant, offices on 2; parking above; pool and bar on 7. It didn’t make sense until I heard it was a condo complex until 8 or so years ago, when Hyatt took over the property.
Little beach shelters and chairs are for rental… :(. I paid a resort fee… not included. I suspect this encourages people to stay at the pool and spend $$ at the pool bar.
Lobby bar on 2 has good coffee. We walked 15 minutes north to Coffee Culture one morning, paid about the same price for an espresso drink, but liked the hotel’s fully automatic machine at the bar better.
Many crafts and fun activities scheduled for elementary-​age kids each day.
Be warned: construction going on on the north side of the building.

We stayed here on our last vacation in Clearwater beach and overall, I left happy and satisfied that we stayed here. The people working here are very nice, whether the concierge or the people at the restaurants, to room service, to the people at the pool bar which is always a plus. We had a very nice room with a private bedroom and two bathrooms that we upgraded to obviously with a full kitchen and when staying with little kids, it is very helpful. They provided us with two cribs (which were a little small for us) in my opinion and two high chairs which I appreciate when traveling with one year olds. The room looked to be very updated and everything was very clean upon arrival. We had not one but two balconies with one having a side ocean view which was very nice and tons of little chairs to sit outside from. I have absolutely no complaints on the room since it was fantastic.
The hotel itself is beautiful and luxurious with a beautiful marble staircase in the lobby and the second floor is where there Shor Restaurant is which is fantastic as well. There’s also a nice help desk on the second floor which the guy was very nice and helpful in recommending activities as well as restaurants nearby. I really liked that kind of service. The pool area is very nice and the people at the pool bar are always around if you need a snack or a drink. The pool itself isn’t the biggest but it does the job well. The top rooftop balcony is my favorite with some super nice lounge chairs and you really feel like you’re at a 5 star resort up there. I definitely liked the feel of the place.
One thing that I didn’t like was upon arrival, the guy did see that we had little kids and offered us an upgrade, and of course he had to charge us for it since it was bigger than what we originally ordered. I know the hotel was practically empty, so why charge us extra if you see that we could really use the extra room with the little kids. I understand if they were completely full but there was definitely tons of rooms available. First he quoted us one price and we said it’s too expensive so than he offered another less expensive price that we eventually settled upon. But that just felt not classy and a little bit of nickle and diming us since we already were paying a fairly decent amount for the 6 nights that we were staying there.
Overall, a great hotel with an awesome location right on the beach, but I would hope that as a luxury resort they act a little less cheap when upgrading someone or don’t offer the upgrade at all in my opinion. However, the building itself is beautiful and pink and I am definitely a fan of the pretty in pink.

Outstanding service. For Chardonnay drinkers try the Russian river ranches at the bar. It will be worth the extra dollar.

Booked our stay months ago, paid extra for an «ocean view,» so was extremely disappointed with what we ended up with. Granted, the room was large, with a nice kitchen, but there were 1 tablespoon, 1 teaspoon, 2 forks, & 4 butter knives… for a family of 5!!! Oh & 1 roll of toilet paper for the duration of our stay.
The building itself is beautiful and in the perfect location, so still giving it 3 stars.

No services at all at the beach… this is the first resort beach from without any services at the beach… amazing how people will even come back here.
I do believe is just because they never became on a real high end resort before.

I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel. My husband and I travel a lot and often stay in nice hotels and this one is one of the best. The rooms are huge! Ours had 2 bathrooms and separate living area, great balcony with partial ocean view and full kitchen stocked with everything you need if you wanted to cook a full meal there. Whole hotel was meticulously maintained, clean and updated and the staff from front desk to housekeeping were all fantastic. And of course great location on the beach in Clearwater. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This is a nice, new, modern hotel. The rooms all have kitchens and are quite large. There are no bad views. The pool deck is on the 11^th floor and is very impressive.
Parking is in an attached garage. The beach is very close, and the Beach Walk even closer. There are great bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Everything you need for a nice beach vacation is here.
My only issue with the Hyatt is that it does not feel like a beach hotel. The décor is very minimalist and slightly… cold? It’s not charming — it’s elegant. I don’t love that in a beach hotel, but others may.

Great location. Full kitchen and nice place but not a five star. Maybe 4 but I’m giving it three cause room was not up to par. Carpet torn and hairs on bed. Hair also on bathroom floor. A lot of it. Internet service is terrible. Pool small. Now good things: full refrigerator. great location, two bathrooms.
No liquor sales next door, just beer and wine. Go to walgreens. For liquor. Free taxis up and down strip ! Just tip them.
Sand pearl is nicer but it has a bigger price too. Will probably go there next time. For 420.00 a night the ice maker and carpet should be better. I’m ending on a positive note. Beds are very good. Walk to diner across street for great breakfast and staff was pretty nice.

Hatten eine Suite mit kompletter Küche gebucht. Einfach herrlich, das Bett ein Traum. Es war so bequem, dass wir dieses sogar noch kaufen werden. Das Hotel liegt in Toplage, ein grosses aber doch extrem gepflegtes Hotel. Internet ist dabei. Das einzige was gestört hat, waren die Resort gebühren von 25.– Dollar pro Nacht und die Parkhaus kosten von 16.– Dollar pro Nacht. Ansonsten ein herrliches Hotel, eventuell auch für eine Hochzeit ;)
Wir haben schon mit dem Gedanken gespielt, dieses Hotel für die nächsten Sommerferien zu buchen.
