Classic style breakfast in cozy homey feeing style restaurant. Always get friendly service and good good. The décor is out of date and dirty they need to do some renovating. Cute place for a quick breakfast.

Came here from the airport for brunch. We walked in and was seated quickly. The server was very friendly. I wanted to eat something light but got talked into the corned beef hash, eggs, and pancakes. Started with the complimentary danish basket. Parents go the thick slice bacon and spaghetti. All were good and was left satisfied.

Ordered a Benedict, sauce was powdered hollendaise and was sickening to eat. Hash browns were swimming in grease. Not my cup of tea.

Buffalo Chicken Benedict is really good! The place isn’t really made for groups. We had a party of 8 and were split and seated at two tables. They were across from each other so that was good.

Lenny’s is kinda unique… it’s hard to describe. The ambience is, well, Lenny’s. It’s very odd. But for breakfast/brunch meals, it is hard to beat this place. Good menu selections, always good service, and good food… what’s not to like? Well, I suppose it is a bit pricey, but not outrageous. Try it!

We came here for Mother’s day Sunday brunch, there were 8 of us. Although the restaurant was packed, we were seated promptly as we had a reservation. Upon being seated, they put bowls of danishes on our table immediately. The danishes were so delicious and still warm! I ordered the chicken and waffle benedict for my meal and although the presentation of the dish wasn’t as nice, the taste was definitely was. So, don’t be fooled by the looks of your dish. On my plate, I had the waffle on the bottom with fried chicken on top, then there were 2 medium poached eggs over that and a white, thick gravy all over on top. Initially, I thought the dish might’ve been too salty with all the gravy on top but I was pleasantly surprised that it was just right. And, even though there was so much gravy on my dish, the fried chicken was still crispy. Everyone at my table enjoyed the food. And, our waitress was spectacular, she made sure we never ran out of coffee in our mugs.

If you come on the weekends there will be a wait so make sure that you call ahead. Lenny’s is one of my favorite breakfast spots, this place is really great!!! It is not very close to us so unfortunately I do not get to go very often. If you are planning to come here, come hungry! The food is awesome and the portions are HUGE, their combo meals come with a basket of their made fresh daily bakery treats, that you can either eat there or take home with you. I came here a bunch when I was younger, and when I moved back to Florida I was thrilled to see that it is still around. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is really fun. On the weekends that have a very talented balloon guy that walks around making hats for the kids, however I have seen a good bit of adults get a hat made for themselves.

Lenny’s is the best breakfast you will get in all of Tampa Bay. **Warning** There will be a wait on the weekends — but it typically goes fairly quick. I typically eat here at least once a week and have been doing so for the last 25 years. The lunch is pretty good but if I am going to Lenny’s its for the breakfast. They have a huge menu, a super friendly staff, and food that never disappoints. This is comfort food, it reminds you of home, deliciously rich and buttery and oh so satisfying. Many of the breakfast meals also come with a FULL danish basket, we typically end up with 4 baskets on the table because each person gets their very own! If your not feeling danish-y you can always opt for table relishes instead but if you do you’re making a mistake. I’ve eaten countless items on the menu but my old stand by is the bacon breakfast — extra extra crispy bacon, two perfectly over medium eggs, and potato pancakes as my side. Here are some others that are definitely worth a try and some tips to make your Lenny’s visit perfect. Biscuits and Gravy — Warm flaky biscuit with thick flavorful sausage gravy. Potato Pancakes — A MUSTTRY! They are almost as good as my Grams, put some applesauce on and enjoy! Corn Beef Hash — It is pretty on par with a typical corn beef hash but every once and awhile they will serve a meatloaf hash that is out of this world. Home Fries — Get them deep fried with extra seasoning. Eggs Benedict — Lenny’s has 8 benedicts on the menu and almost always offers a lobster bene as well that is really good. My favorite is their original benedict but the redneck benedict is a close second. Gator Omelette — Get it cajun style! Bagels — I have never been too impressed with the bagels but they can’t always be perfect. French Toast vs. Pancakes — Go for the french toast! Not only does Lenny’s know how to do breakfast they also have an amazing staff. They have a crew that for the most part has been there for years and they know what they are doing. They are always friendly and super accommodating to what ever you may need. I have to give a shout out to Joanne because she has been taken great care of us for years and always gives me a danish basket of just cheese sticks because she is awesome like that.

As a Clearwater native, I grew up at Lenny’s and have fond memories of sitting at the counter eating biscuits and gravy and drinking chocolate milk with my mom. The servers were and continue to be delightfully sassy and really good at what they do. The atmosphere is classic«snarky diner with fun stuff everywhere» and its clear when you walk in that they don’t take life too seriously at Lenny’s unless it comes to the cooking. The food is fantastic. I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy and the Benny’s. You may want to starve yourself for a few days before coming to Lenny’s to prepare for all of the food. I have yet to finish a full meal here although I have, on occasion drank my weight in coffee and mimosas simultaneously.

I first discovered this little gem when I was 19. My band and I were touring Florida and our drummer was a Clearwater native. He suggested we stop at this breakfast place. What a great choice. This place gets full, if you get there at a peak hour be prepared to wait but don’t worry good things come to those who wait. Ok, so now you have a seat. Let’s take a look at the menu, it’s extensive and very busy but don’t let drawing of random old people distract you. They serve lunch and breakfast. The breakfast is so good I’ve never made it to their lunch menu. Order a breakfast and get a complimentary Danish basket. Don’t eat them all or you’ll spoil your appetite ask your waitress for a to go bag and ALAKAZAMyou’ve got breakfast for tomorrow but let’s be honest, you’ll probably eat them on the car ride home. Ok, let’s travel back in time to 19 year old me. The Danishes are the first thing I taste at this restaurant AANNNNNND I’m an instant fan. BUTWAIT, THERE’S MORE. My breakfast comes. It’s as big as their menu. My plate is over flowing with artery clogging goodness. Way too much food to possibly eat but it’s so damn good you plow thru it. Then comes the check and you don’t break the bank. It seems like a win, win, win situation to me. 10 years later my career relocated me to Tampa. It was a 45 min drive but It was a trek I would make every weekend. Then I would head to the beach and fall into a food coma. I was fat and really tan that year. The Chicken and Waffles Benedict was my go to. I would have them soak the waffle in maple syrup before adding the fried chicken, smothering in sausage gravy and topping it with a poached egg. Add hot sauce and get ready to have a party in your mouth. The Nova Benedict is bomb too as is the Redneck Benedict. You just can’t go wrong at Lenny’s. I live in Miami now and I’ve been contemplating driving up to Clearwater just to get some Lenny’s breakfast.

Appetizing diner food served swiftly. My hubz and I housed two baskets of flaky danishes, free with most entrees, while waiting for the steak & eggs and gator omelets. After a wait surprisingly short on a Sunday morning, the waitress brought our food: steak and eggs with a side of fruit and a biscuit, and the gator omelet with home fries and tomatoes. Don’t be fooled by what looks like a modest omelet; that omelette was chock full of reptile. It was exceptional, as were the pastries. The rest was very good, certainly above average diner food. The biscuits are not Granny’s, but they aren’t advertised to be. The bagels have a good reputation and I saw knish on the menu. Next time I’ll come armed with stretchy pants. PS: Parking is tricky. Come early or prepared to wait behind a line of bad drivers in a small parking lot. Fortunately we arrived at about 8:30am and narrowly escaped that debacle by about two minutes.

You have to try Lenny’s! It’s really good. It’s a cute place, the people are really nice, and the food is creative and good. They have things on the menu you don’t see at other places, which makes it so different from them.

We ate here today with the whole family after the wife and I had a good experience alone last weekend. Great food, great service. Busy but they try to keep it less than 20min. We called ahead so that we didn’t have to wait quite as long. You can park in the nearby hotel parking lots. We had breakfast both times. The Danish basket that comes with most meals is a nice touch and different than other places. The portions are large and the price feels just right. There is a guy who does balloon animals. I don’t know if he’s there on Sat but he’s there on Sunday’s. He came by the table, and started talking up my daughter. I tried to discreetly tell him to go away because I didn’t have any cash. He just said it was fine and he was happy to make our breakfast experience as nice as possible. I felt bad but he was really nice and gracious. He then proceeded to make my daughter a huge elephant hat. For free. When we go back I will go out of my way to give him a tip for that nice gesture. And we will be going back. Great place!

My friend was in town and craving biscuits and gravy so we stumbled upon Lenny’s while browsing Unilocal and I’m sure glad we did! It was fairly busy on a Sunday morning but surprisingly the wait was only 20 minutes. From the second we walked in, the host and every server we encountered were extremely nice and helpful. I started off with a bloody mary that was delicious and garnished with their special jalapeño bacon(yum!). For my entrée I ordered the BLT benedict. Instead of the standard english muffin, the base were potato«pancakes», basically a hash brown, topped with spinach, bacon, poached eggs and a red pepper hollandaise. Probably the best benedict I have ever tasted thus far in my life. My friend was also very pleased with their biscuits and gravy. I will definitely be back!

The only issue with this place, is how huge the portions are. My husband and I went there for breakfast on a Sunday. Both of our entrees came with pastries. Those were delicious. I got chicken and waffles. Like I said, it was a lot of food on my plate. I just kept stuffing my face and couldn’t stop, because how good it was. I didn’t even get to my side of grits. My pants felt a bit tighter, but I regret nothing. Will most definitely be back.

Lenny’s is an institution in the Tampa Bay area. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to visit. My husband works down the street, so I had the chance to visit him at his new office, once the visit was over, we made our way here for Brunch. Though they close at 3pm every day, and we arrived at 2:30, there was no issue with us being there. Our waitress was friendly, and we were sat immediately. The menus have a lot of things to select from so we took a few minutes and then placed our orders. We had friends with us, and they both ordered some kind of eggs benedict. I ordered an omelette and my husbeast ordered a salad and sandwich combo. The food arrived fast and was quite tasty! It even came with a pastry basket! My omlette was light and fluffy, filled with all the meats and flavour, cooked to perfection. The grits I ordered were. well they were a bit thick, but adding enough butter and they were ok too. My friends all loved their foods, except the one who ordered the portabello mushroom Benedict. She said it had too much sauce and — she’d never had grits before, didn’t like them, but they replaced it with fruit so no problem. We’ll most certainly be back!

I was a little excited to try this place out because of its wonderful rating and reviews. My dad and I stopped in for lunch and were not disappointed. I had one of their hearty breakfasts, country fried with country sausage gravy, toast, scrambled egg whites, home fries with sautéed onions and it came with a free pastry basket! Dad had pancakes and sausage with an egg. They were both particularly good. I like the country fried steak at Cracker Barrel but this place is more delicious! The prices are pretty good. Our waitress was Kim and she was very friendly, knowledgable and accommodating. They were very, very busy when we came in but it didn’t effect the service or quality of the food. Try this place out, it’s a nice diner.

So 2 things here. First my apologies to Unilocal readers for the photos. The plates were half eaten before I took the photos I’ll explain why later. Second, keep in mind this 5 star rating is not rated against a brunch at the 4 seasons. I rate against comparably priced breakfast restaurants. First, let’s talk about the staff. Amazing! Very friendly, helpful, and made you feel at home. Awesome! We ordered steak Benedict and French toast. They do not have steak Benedict on the menu, but they were glad to make it upon my request. The steak was cooked medium rare as requested, the eggs poached perfectly(nothing worse than cutting into a poached egg and it be hard inside), and the sauce wonderful. The French toast were also delicious! Perfectly cooked and very flavorful. So here’s the apology. This insanity was so good that I forgot to take a picture until I halfway devoured it. Couldn’t help myself. LOL. Hope this helps. Give my review a thumbs up if you find it helpful.

I heard Lenny’s was amazing from a few Unilocalers, but I never made it to the place and it became one of many restaurants buried in my Bookmarks. Then, one of my foodie idols(Alton Brown) visited Clearwater and posted some pictures of Lenny’s. Lenny’s immediately shot to the top of my list and we tried it a few days later. Yesterday was our second visit and It won’t by any means be the last. First of all, we must talk décor. Lenny’s is a old-school kitschy, hole-in-the-wall stand alone dinner that has an AMAZING environment if you are a baseball fan(which I am!). The baseball décor leans heavily towards the Phillies side since their spring training location is right up the road, but it is still a lot to take in and appreciate as any baseball fan. Now for the food. The menu is a little overwhelming, but I wouldn’t change it one bit. They have all the traditional breakfast goodies, burgers and sandwiches with lots of inventive options mixed in. From the Gator Omelette to the Scrapple to the Redneck Benedict, they are delicious combinations that make a decision tough. They also have knishes, potato pancakes and cheese blintzes. Did I mention that breakfast options are served with a «pastry basket» that includes about 5 delicious homemade pastries each. They even give you to-go bags to take home the leftovers. if there are any. I have ordered the BLT Benedict and the Chicken Waffle Benedict. Both were amazing. My favorite was the Chicken Waffle Benedict. The waffle is homemade with a sweet batter and it was super fluffy. The chicken was pounded, breaded and crisp but flavorful. I recommend ordering the home-fries with onions for your side. So much flavor! I also tried the Country Fried Steak that my Husband ordered on this last visit and it was delicious too. Do not be afraid to order off of the savory menu here! It is all good and homemade. You should know that Lenny’s is pretty much always packed. We found Saturday mornings to be particularly crazy. The Friday morning wasn’t too much better and from what regulars told us, it is always like that. Luckily, the staff is friendly and efficient. You just need to be prepared for the crowded space. Lenny’s certainly receives my seal of approval. We will be back.
