Love Lonnies! I order here frequently for delivery to work. The sandwiches are great, big actually but a lot of bread compared to meats etc. Prices are about average, there Reese’s PB cookie so delish and I recommend trying the Albuquerque Turkey sandwich!

I didn’t really like this place. It’s basically regular bread with cold cuts. It’s good quality, just not my style.

Have had lunch there several times. The Nutty Chicken salad is awesome, pasta salad is also a great side to get. Great service, clean, friendly. And the bread, you will not find it fresher anywhere. Well worth your time to stop by.

Great sandwiches but they only cater to the M-​F lunch time crowd. Can’t be bothered to be open on the weekends, so I’ve not had their sandwiches in years. I wanted to order platters for a baby shower next weekend, but just stopped at their Dunedin location which on the web says they’re open Saturdays, but are not. Annoying… guess I’ll forget about them.

A lot of mixed reviews here so on my way home from work, decided to give it a shot.
The place is unassuming and people are very friendly. They offered me a sample of a almond cookie they had just baked. Was hard as a rock, but apparently that’s how they are supposed to be. Not sure about that, but OK.
Went with Cecil’s sunrise which is ham, cheese, and egg on potato bread. The bread was huge and toasted perfectly. This was looking very promising.
But then… like a storm cloud over your day at the beach, it started pouring. Took a bite, and after a few seconds ran to a faucet to stick my face under it and drink as if I had been in the Sahara for a week. What was that??? What is so freakishly salty??? Tasted like they had dropped the entire salt container in the sandwich (no exaggerating). You guessed it. It was the ham. That was ridiculous.
Too bad because the bread and cheese were delicious.
That was unfortunately a waste of money.

Lonnie’s is a great spot with friendly staff and great sandwiches and soup. I do however highly suggest you don’t go if you’re in any sort of rush. I went yesterday and waited for 37 minutes for a turkey wrap. Everyone in the restaraunt was getting impatient and waiting for around the same amount of time for their food.

Such an inviting and bright space. Great interior design with a retro feel. Start with a White Chicken Chili soup. It’s deliciously creamy. Sunny bird sandwich is a must. It’s fresh with tasty bread and quality ingredients. The place is owned by a great Austrian Couple.

Lonni’s is a good spot to grab a quick sandwich for lunch. I usually get the half soup half sandwich combo. My favorite thing about the place is their vegetable and wild rice soup. The bread for the sandwiches is fresh but don’t expect to be blown away overall. The small shop serves as a quick and convenient spot for lunch if you’re in the area.

I just moved into the area and discovered this place. I like supporting small local business and this is a great example. Their Mango Breeze sandwich is wonderful. I will be a regular customer here for sure.

Very Nice place to have a sandwich. Their personal touch to the menu goes a long way for lunch time dining. If you are looking for fresh baked bread with your sandwich this is the place. No chain food here. They have a Nutty Chicken salad with fresh rice bread. It was very good. We also tried the hot Ruben. It was on fresh baked round rye bread with sweet pickles. Very good also. Just the right amount of corn beef.

Like the concept, but Lonnie’s falls short of expectations. I’ve watched it slowly decrease in quality for 3 years, while service remains… strange (?). I’ve always felt like I’m bothering the staff by being there. Not friendly in the least. And for the price of their grilled cheese, I expect the bread to not be soggy, which it is. I keep coming back because lunch choices are limited in this area for business.

Have the sandwiches gotten lighter on the ingredients recently? I hadn’t been here in years and got a mango breeze with turkey today. Seems like the sandwiches used to be thicker. Still good, but a little skimpy, especially for the price.

Oh Lonnie’s…I ordered the half soup half sandwich combo. Ordered the chicken pasta soup with a Cuban. I enjoyed the soup… had chunks of chicken and tri colored pasta. Lacked salt but overall decent. The Cuban could’ve been pressed a little bit more however the bread was soft and tasty. The Cuban was better than most sub shops but still not an authentic one. Overall not a bad little spot and within walking distance of many businesses and residences.

I am a big fan of Lonni’s. I used to work right next to it and frequented as often as I could without wearing it out, so to speak.
I order the Sunni bird. It is killer. The bread is thick-​cut and made fresh on-​site daily. Their meats and toppings are also ultra-​fresh. The tomato bisque is also excellent and a favorite of mine with the ½ sandwich cup of soup special they run for lunch.
The only reason I don’t give them 5 stars is because a couple of weeks ago, I called in for a simple, 3 sandwich order and the woman that answered was rude. I asked to speak to the owner and she hung up on me. That’s no bueno…
Either way, Lonni’s is a baller place to get some lunch. Go check them out!

Lonnie’s gourmet sandwiches is a great lunch spot! They have soups, salads and sandwiches of course. The sunny bird is my favorite sandwich of all time. It is on fresh baked bread piled high with turkey and sprouts. That’s just the beginning though what really makes it so delicious is the the cream cheese and honey french dressing. It’s such an unusual sandwich but absolutely mouth watering! I highly, highly recommend you try it!

My husband brought home sandwiches from here for us to try after raving about it for months. As soon as I bit into the sandwich, 1 word came to mind– FRESH. The bread and ingredients were some of the freshest I had ever sank my teeth into. I had the Alburqurque Turkey and thought it was great. I tried the Sunny Bird and wasn’t that impressed, but only because I wasn’t crazy about the items on it. It was still an incredibly fresh sandwich. I can’t wait to go back there and try another one.

One of my favorite sandwich shops of all time because they make an awesome vegetarian sub. They have fresh bread that looks like it would be dense, but is in fact soft and airy. The ingredients (toppings) are also fresh as well. I frequented the downtown location but this one is closer to my current job. The staff are very friendly and service is usually quick. The sandwich prices are higher than some places and you’ll pay $ 7 – 10 for a meal, however, they deliver with quality ingredients and products. This is a must visit for sandwich lovers!

Ordered for delivery to my office from here and everything went wonderfully.
I hate ordering delivery and having it come wrong, this place, always does it right.
I ordered a half an Albuquerque Turkey $ 6.59 (pile of turkey with swiss, and chipotle mayo-​no lettuce-​extra sauce) and a half a Custom Veggie $ 3.99(provolone, sprouts, avocado, lettuce tomatoe, sweet onion, no cucumber, lightly toasted with dressing on the side) They get your order right no matter how complicated you make it.
True pros. Yes, delivery will take at least an hour so order early. Fresh and delicious. A great place for lunch! On and one half of a sandwich is plenty for one person I found out!

Lonni’s is one of my favorite sandwich places in St. Pete. Although the staff is not the friendliest, the food more than makes up for that fact. Everything here is huge! The Nutty Chicken Salad is flavorful. I love the celery, almonds, and grapes. My go-​to sandwich is the Custom Vegetarian. I get it with cream cheese, honey french, and sunflower seeds. Amazing. My Husband’s favorite is the Mango Breeze with turkey. The curried mango chutney really makes it a special sandwich. The wild rice bread provides an earthy taste and the best kind of sandwich foundation. The fresh fruit plate is gorgeous and perfect as a side instead of chips or pasta salad. They also have a pretty decent Cuban. I would eat here every day if I could.
