Good service to get tires, ive been goin for tires there and oil changes too. professional and quick.
Today i went to do a system check cuz my engine light has been on for a while, they ran diagnostic test which they charged $ 55.00. thermostat has to be replaced, its $ 76 for the part, and $ 163 for labor… AND… coolant system «should be flushed» Total comes to $ 426.00… i was like… No thanks. lol
my brother in law is a mechanic but too busy so i try not to bug him but i went to his shop after and he said the part costs about $ 30 max, but places make money out of them so they charge more. my radiator was replaced about 1 yr ago therefore it Does Not need a coolant sytem/​tadiator flush thingy. so since they were a rip off my BIL is going to fix it on the side for me instead :-)

My whole family comes here. Honest mechanics and they WILL give you the best price. They are SUPER fast without missing anything. All questions are good questions there, even for the car novice like me! Paul, the general manager, knows his stuff. I recommend McGee’s to anyone who doesn’t want to get caught up in a hassle or be screwed. Go to McGee’s! Glad I did!

So… I normally cringe at the thought of going to automotive businesses but this one caught me by surprise. I had a nail in my tire and another tire repair shop tried the whole «you need a new tire» line so I left. Clearly I know that tires need repair and «sometimes» a new tire may need to be purchased so I wanted to get a second look.
I brought my car here and of course I got a totally different diagnose. The staff was very nice and said I definitely did not need to drop $ 300 for a tire and in fact I did not even need a patch since the nail was tiny and there was no leak.
I was a bit shocked they did not try to upsell me or force not needed services on me since that is how a lot of car repair shops make money. So… I will go out of my way to come back here if/​when I do need any car repairs since it seems like they do not try and pull one over you!

Another great find! We are thrilled to finally find an auto repair shop with knowledgeable, honest staff who know what the meaning of customer service is. After giving the Toyota dealerships in St. Petersburg and Pinellas Park a try and being sadly disappointed, we were very pleased to find McGee Auto Service. They are friendly and professional, and they don’t try to talk you into unnecessary repairs.

I made an appointment 8 days in advance (9÷12÷2014) for a routine oil change on 9÷20÷2014 at 1:00 PM. Okay so I add it to my calendar, have someone follow me there because we had other errands to do that day, and show up on time expecting to hand my keys over.
Turns out that when I arrive at the counter they tell me there is appointment on their records, and that they have no room to squeeze me in whatsoever. They did not offer a discounted price for forcing me to reschedule an appointment that I made EIGHT DAYS IN ADVANCE. The best part of all this? They didn’t even recognize their mistake and apologize.
I went down the road, received an oil change on the spot, was treated professionally, and offered a discounted price on my next visit after I told them what Goodyear had just put me through.
