Established in 1999.

In January 1998, Dan Lewis moved his family to the Clearwater, Florida area where he planned to launch his own web development company. He had already spent nearly two years studying the web. Dan refused to start his web company until he could prove his own ability to place a website on page-​one of major search engines for any given keyword. At last, in the summer of ’99, he did it; three times in a row. After investing about 11,000 hours in research, on September 17, 1999, he launched Profit Gate and incorporated it in Delaware in 2001.

Since ’99, Dan Lewis has managed Profit Gate as its President and CEO. He has helped hundreds of client companies to make money with their websites. It is estimated that the websites created and managed by Profit Gate have produced in the hundreds of millions of dollars since he began.

It is estimated that the websites created and managed by Profit Gate have produced sales in the hundreds of millions of dollars since he began. Profit Gate currently has over 200 active clients.

In 2010, Dan wrote a book to help anyone understand how business websites actually work. Now sold at Ama​zon​.com, ‘Business Websites 101 — Secrets Revealed’ is a simple summary of what all website owners need to know, in order to avoid becoming victims.

Today, Dan continues to manage Profit Gate from its Clearwater, Florida office. Helping others with state-​of-​the-​art marketing technologies is still his greatest passion.
