Clermont Couture is a home based business differentiating ourselves from competitors with experience and best in class service. Herta Dee has 40 years of experience as a seamstress in bridal and alterations.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Herta Dee started her career as a seamstress and furrier in1964 working for Abel Furs for 6 years in Oklahoma City, OK. Over the next 6 years Herta perfected her craft of sewing, alterations, and fur restyling but yearned to own her own business. In 1970 she moved to Clinton, IA to get into a cold climate and opened her own fur store and bridal alterations business.

Unfortunately by 1984 harsh economic times had taken its toll on Clinton and her business could not be sustained so she moved to New Orleans, LA. where she began working for Hannah’s Bridal in Metairie, LA. Hannah eventually closed her business in 1993 so Herta moved to Thousand Oaks, CA to be near her son.

She started working for The Bridal Collection in Thousand Oaks, CA where she spent 20 years perfecting her skills. Herta moved to Clermont, Florida to open her Clermont Couture in 2013.
