Atma Center is an award-winning yoga center dedicated to SATYANANDA YOGA®. We offer over 40 weekly studio classes, Yog@Work corporate programs, workshops, Yoga Therapy, and Yogic Studies & Teacher Training.
Our instructors are some of the most highly-trained in the nation — Level 1 teachers have completed over 1000 hours of training, generally taking up to 3 years, and Level 2 teachers have completed approximately 2500+ total hours.
Our retail store serves both walk-in and online clients and stocks a diverse selection of yoga and health-related items, such as yoga mats & props, books, CDs, neti pots, supplements, and unique gifts.
The Atma Center is the North American hub for SATYANANDA YOGA®, a style uniquely adapted to the needs of modern society. It is suitable for all ages, body types, and levels of fitness and health. The Atma Center is the only location in the United States, Mexico and Canada authorized to offer Teacher Training in this tradition.

Atmarupa means «Form of the true Self»
Swami Atmarupa is the Founder and Director of the Atma Center, an award winning SATYANANDA YOGA ® center that opened in Cleveland Heights, Ohio in 1997. She is one of 22 emissaries worldwide named to represent the yoga teachings of the Bihar School of Yoga. She is also the Education Director of the sole provider of Yogic Studies and Teacher Training courses in the Satyananda tradition in North America.
In 2004, Swami Atmarupa founded the North American Gurukul, a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization promoting the development of Satyananda Yoga® in North America. She served as an advisor to the board prior to her current board membership as President.
