This place is a little hard to find. The yogurt was ok but a little bit too sweet. Similar to any froyo places in cleveland heights unfortunately, their fruits were not that fresh either. You can ask for samples and water, so that helps!

At Kiwispoon, I had both the chocolate trio froyo and the cinnamon bun froyo. I also sampled the tart froyo. In my opinion the tart froyo was too tart. The cinnamon bun froyo was good. The chocolate trio froyo met my expectations. All of the frozen yogurts had good texture — thick and not too watery. Toppings were okay. I think the mochi topping could have been a little better and the brownie toppings were a little small. Good variety though. One word of warning — if you look up Kiwispoon, there is a huge frozen yogurt chain in Connecticut which is NOT affiliated with this store. I was a little bummed when I found out that the promotion offered in the Connecticut store did not apply in the store in Ohio. But the froyo was good, so it’s okay.

Kiwispoon is a solid froyo option in Cleveland Heights. Three stars for reasonable prices and a friendy, unassuming staff/store. I wasn’t a huge fan of the flavors available the day I was there(I tend to like tart flavors) but I still thought it was pretty good. They also had a decent choice of toppings as well. Honestly, I think I prefer some other froyo options in the area but because of the prices Kiwispoon is definitely a better choice if you get froyo pretty often.

Woo hoo, some darn good frozen yogurt. I’ve been to menchies a few times and yogurt Vi more than a few times, and this was my first time at KiwiSpoon. I have to say, I prefer it more than the others. Ambience-wise, looks very nice and inviting. Selection-wise, they have a good amount of frozen yogurts that taste quite a bit like ice cream; not the same as some of the other places. Plus they have some sugar free and even a couple vegan options which I really appreciated. But when it comes to these kinds of places, what really grabs my attention is the topping assortments; and kiwi does not disappoint! They had, by far, more unique and tasty toppings than some of the other places I’ve been to. And 45 cents per ounce, pretty similar to others. Unless I’m totally stuffed from nearby great dinners, I plan to stop into Kiwispoon every time I’m on Coventry(which thankfully for diet purposes, isn’t that often).

What can go wrong with a froyo place? It’s a typical froyo place and the froyo is good because… it’s froyo. The place is clean and the location of the place is ideal because there aren’t that many froyo places around University Circle. I do go here every time I visit Coventry so I’m able to utilize my rewards card well(buy 8 get one free). I give it a three star not four because there’s nothing special about this place. Edit:That’s actually buy 8 get one free not 10. Sorry about that. The owner corrected me on that via a personal message. He also kindly explained that they actually have a lot of flavors compared to other places — 65 to be exact. Also, they’re very innovative and are trying to come up with new flavors, including green-tea flavor, which you can sample right now. I change my rating from a 3 star to a 4 star. We’re only able to rate a place based on our first impressions so we might give bad representations of a place sometimes, so it’s nice to have owners personally explain and defend their businesses like this through messages. Because that also can be used to rate a business — good customer service.

As I walked up the stairs into KiwiSpoon I was excited to try the new Froyo place. The atmosphere was casual with people milling around but I was greeted as I walked in. I had to ask for sample cups as they were hidden behind the counter but I think most places do that so free-loaders don’t abuse the Froyo yumminess. It was actually a funny experience because the cashier asked if I had been at Menchies a lot before because she used to work their and recognized me. That is how much I love my froyo! She said herself that she thought this was better than Menchies. I’m still deciding, I’ll have to go and try it again and let you guys know(who doesn’t want to have an excuse to eat more^_^) So I tried a couple of flavors but was slightly disappointed by the sorbet/non dairy flavors as I am lactose intolerant. The green apple was a bit too tart for me and the watermelon didn’t have as much flavor as I wanted. I ended up mixing very little amounts of strawberry, peach and apple together. It gave me just the right amount of sweetness and tartness that I like. The fruit toppings were good but the mango bin was just about out and they didn’t have anymore, which was a bummer. All the other fruit looked fresh and appetizing though. The counter space for all the toppings was a bit more squished than the other places I frequent for froyo but I enjoyed the mango mochi and toasted coconut the most. Overall the atmosphere was nice, I have to go back to try the bubble tea because that is something I am very picky about. For the froyo I give it a solid 3.5 while rounding up to 4. It is a lot closer than any of the other Froyo places and the price is pretty good, all of which lead to a pretty good time.

Walked here after eating dinner with fellow Unilocalers. Although the location is upstairs and a bit hidden, it is a great place for froyo! The place is fairly new, so everything is clean and well organized. The décor is cute as well, and comfy(we were eating and chatting here for a couple of hours). They offer sample cups immediately as you enter, which is great. I tried the watermelon sorbet, which was ok. It was a bit more runny, and didn’t have as strong of a watermelon flavor as I’d like. I also tried the pomegranate raspberry flavor, which I liked a lot and decided to get. They have a large variety of toppings, I think they may even have more than Menchies? And everything is well organized and kept in easy accessible containers. They also had different colored bobas, which are one of my favorite toppings-love popping them in my mouth! The fruit also looked fresh, and wasn’t mixed together. The workers there were very nice, and were constantly cleaning the machines etc. I hate feeling sticky, so it’s great that this place really puts an effort to keeping things spotless for their customers. I will definitely be back some time soon!

Debatably, the best frozen yogurt anywhere. Undebatably, the least expensive. Great décor, least fluffy, best interiors, cleanest and best selection. There are 14 selections of yogurt including peach sorbet and root beer float. They also have bubble tea and smoothies too! At 45 cents an ounce and no time lost while they try don’t to sign you for some dumb card while your ice cream melts like some places, Kiwispoon rates number one of all local yogurt shops.

A surprisingly tasty dessert! I’m an original tart girl when it comes to yogurt. The tart flavor was a very nice blend to the sweet fruit toppings. The service was friendly. Once you walk in the door they offered sample cups. The décor was simple, but fitting to the environment. There are multiple flavors to pick from, including sorbet. Watermelon sorbet wasn’t as good as I hoped, but not bad. The pomergrante raspberry had a nice berry tart kick. There were lots of toppings to choose from… the typical fruits and chocolate. The mochi option was a nice touch to the selection. Of coarse the 10% off your bill after checking in on Unilocal made the treat even sweeter!

I must say… Kiwispoon has made an improvement since they opened! I had had some negative items to talk about… but I must say, they added two tart flavors, and they’re pretty good! Still not the Pinkberry consistency, but it’s gotten better and definitely not the icy gritty taste of Menchies. One thing they have over Piccadilly is the sorbet. I must say, they do have good sorbet. I’m still in search of a rival that will battle that of Yogurtland and Pinkberry, but it’s decent. Stop in and you can compare for yourself!

I thought I hated frozen yogurt until I tried this place! I agreed to come here with a friend after a long, tiring summer run. The thought of anything to cool me down sounding appealing at the time. I’ve tried frozen yogurt before and just thought it was a terribly fake substitute for ice cream which was only invented for dieters who don’t know how to satisfy their sugar cravings on non-cheat days. Man was I wrong! The place itself is very clean and bright. It’s conveniently located right on Coventry Rd. They have a decent variety of flavors and loads of toppings from which to chose. I selected the chocolate frozen yogurt and strawberry sorbet. I started with the chocolate and to my surprise it was actually good… smooth, not too cold, and easy to scoop up. It was kind of like soft ice cream but without being too sweet. In addition the toppings act like a buffer preventing brain freeze. What won me over, however, was the strawberry sorbet. I don’t know what this place is putting in the sorbet, but I would not be surprised to find traces of heroin, because I was addicted after the first bite! After every workout now, my mouth starts craving the frozen yogurt/sorbet. On my next visit, I tried the blueberry sorbet. It’s even better than the strawberry. At first it’s subtly refreshing… then BAM! you get hit with wonderful, delicious flavor. So thanks, KiwiSpoon. Thanks for the addiction. At least frozen yogurt/sorbet is healthy… I think…

I’ve never been a big froyo person and I still don’t consider myself to be. The froyo at KiwiSpoon is good, but not five stars good. If there is such a thing on this planet as five star froyo, I have yet to have it. But the froyo is definitely tasty, and they have a lot of great toppings. They especially have a lot of great fruit toppings which can be rather expensive. The reason I give KiwiSpoon five stars is because of the way they do business. The first time we went there, unprompted, the owner gave us a bunch of sample cups. He let us take sample after sample of all the different flavors with no particular care or concern that it might undermine his ultimate sale. It’s this attitude that underlies the way they do business. It’s a trust of sorts they put in their customers and I don’t feel like they’re simply trying to squeeze a profit out of every transaction. Running a business like this is what builds brand loyalty and makes me want to consistently come back. That’s why I consistently come back. They are in a location that has seen a lot of businesses come and go. Burgers N Beer right next to them just closed. KiwiSpoon seems to be doing good business and I genuinely would like to see them succeed. That’s why I took the time to write this review, and I suggest you give them your business.

Kiwispoon is a very typical frozen yogurt joint when it comes to frozen yogurt but they go above and beyond with a trendy seating area overlooking Coventry road and even iPhone chargers. Gotta try the cookie dough and yellow cake froyo. 45 cents an ounce for froyo is pretty reasonable as well.

How can two froyo places open at almost the same time on the same road and both be amazing? I can only go to one at a time… This place is very good. I really really like the yellow cake froyo, even more than the froyo at picadilly. The selection is also good as far as the number of flavors and the variety of toppings. The one slight negative of this place compared to picadilly is that KiwiSpoon is somewhat of an out of state chain while picadilly is local, though this KiwiSpoon doesn’t seem to have the same menu as the rest of them in CT so I’m not entirely sure what the actual relationship is. That being said, this place is just as good and cheaper. If organic, vegan, and local matter more to you versus price then go to picadilly. If you just want great froyo, you can’t go wrong either way. Try them both I say.
