Firefighters Community Credit Union

I am not one who usually writes reviews or even give out my opinion on things. I also am not one to be big on excuses. That being said I have had a rough go for the past 6 months financially, due to loss of work and the passing of my young father in law. Having said that I fell behind on my payments for my car loan. Once I was able to try to get to a place where I can try to do whatever I can to work things out, Firefighters was not too keen on being helpful. They seem to be totally not a company that I would like to work with in the future. After making several attempts to contact them I reached someone and then was not given any options. I threw out refinancing my loan for a higher rate or even adding length to my original loan. These were both shot down with out any further details on what I could do. I know that this is my issue and not anyone else’s and I know that finances are a persons responsibility but with the times being what they are and people losing work, I would think a «community» credit union would try to work something out instead of just threatening with repossession. They probably don’t read these but I would like to just caution anyone who doesn’t know what their future holds and is unaware that unexpected things can happen.
