We are a no nonsense Old World Pub. Considered Downtown Cleveland’s neighborhood bar. Over 100 domestic, micro, & import beers. Extensive vodka, bourbon selections fill a fully stocked wooden back bar. Voted Cleveland’s BEST Downtown Pizza. MR has also just added a NEW Hot Dog menu (includes specialty dogs such as the Drew Carey, the Rock n’ Roll City dog, the Cleveland Firefighters dog to name a few). Simply put you are comfortable here. Map Room is a fantastic place to meet and network with new people.

History

Established in 2005.

Business and building owner Matt Gillespie has been in the bar business one way or another most of his adult life. His vision of the Map Room has been constant and consistent. Stressing the importance of doing things the right way and providing quality costomer service at an affortable price. Alway’s open, no exceptions 365 days a year (never missed a day to date since the day the doors opened). General Manager Regi Houle even opens the doors and provides a homemade Thanksgiving dinner for Downtown residents. We hope to continue to strive and make the Map Room experience one that you will tell your friends about.

Manager

An only child raised in Warren, Ohio. Graduated from Warren Howland in 1992. Captain of Soccer and Wrestling teams. 1996 graduate of Bowling Green State University with a degree in Sociology. Worked history includes: County/​Government Investigations for child rape victims, and advertising sales for Scene Magazine. It was during this position where I met Matt Gillespie and bonded a friendship and witnessed the making of the Map Room before its doors officially opened.

I am also co-​owner of Jib Machine Records/​Publising, and do a weekly radio show called JibNation which broadcasts on Scrub Radio an independent internet radio station owned by some of our close colleagues.
