History
Established in 1953.
McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service was founded in March of 1953 by A.C. and Mary Ellen McKinney as McKinney Funeral Home and Ambulance Service. In October 1965, Horton and Jerene Landreth bought into the funeral home and the name became McKinney-Landreth Funeral Home. In 1996, Steve Carroll began to work for the funeral home as Funeral Director and Embalmer. In 2004, Horton Landreth retired and the funeral home was sold to Steve Carroll and his wife, Lyn Hamby Carroll. In 2010, the name was changed to McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service. The Carroll family has continued the tradition of operating a family-owned, local funeral home. Steve, Lyn, and their staff strive to «Provide Excellence in Funeral and Cremation Service» to all of Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina.

Business Owner
Steve Carroll is Owner & Funeral Director of McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service. Mr. Carroll has served the funeral home since 1996. He is a graduate of Crest High School and Fayetteville Technical Community College. In 2004 Steve & Lyn Carroll purchased McKinney — Landreth Funeral Home from Horton & Jerene Landreth becoming full owners. He is also an active member of Zoar Baptist Church of Shelby, North Carolina where he serves on the deacon board.
