Heel Dog Training Academy

We trained both of our dogs through Mary, and couldn’t be happier. She does a wonderful job balancing warmth and enthusiasm while holding the owners accountable for the responsibility they have in training. As she notes, the classes are for the owners just as much as the dogs! A couple of examples that demonstrate how she goes above and beyond: graduation ceremony with dog treats and certificates, extra time taken to address personal behaviors and concerns in class, and a genuine interest in the owners (she congratulated me when I finished my PhD & often checked in on how I was doing with dissertation, because she has been through it herself!). To this day, we continue to receive compliments on how good our dogs are. While running and walking with them, it’s actually pretty entertaining because other dogs will go nuts & ours just continue to trot along as if it’s no big deal :) I’m one proud parent!
